  1. Add him to the "I never met Lincoln before so I'm not sure he REALLY was a President" list.
  2. Bills being 5th is kinda bizarre tbh. Rousseau and Oliver are plus starters but not superstars. Is this based on rookies?
  3. Aw poor Beane, having to deal with the tough gestapo-controlled Buffalo media who have fawned over him for like 8 years.
  4. I don’t know why folks say that Buffalo has never won a championship, I won our beer league last year. I think it’s not a stretch to say that the Buffalo region isn’t financially prepared to support the Sabres if they are terrible. Habs are clearly a much better franchise but even at 3 straight bottom of the conference finishes, they led the league in attendance in 23-24.
  5. That’s a good way to phrase it. Coaches I would trade for McD straight up: Reid McVay Shanny Campbell KOC LaFleur Payton I’m actually kinda lower on Harbaugh and Tomlin than others, they are right in McDs class imo. To me, the guys I listed above have elevated their teams beyond their QB. You could argue that Tomlin has, and you’d have a point, but I think he’s more of a floor raiser than a ceiling raiser. Sirianni is the perfect example of why saying “McD is great because he has a great winning percentage” is invalid. He has the best winning percentage in football currently, without one of the very best QBs, and we all agree he isn’t close to the best coach in football.
  6. You got bamboozled. its not unheard of around the league. It’s in a lot of contracts. It just hasn’t been in the BENGALS.
  7. Are you seriously asking why Terry’s results in professional leagues matters more than rec leagues?
  8. Do you consider Lamar better than Josh? I like Lamar a lot, and I think he’s a force, but I think he’s got some real Achilles heel type stuff that holds him back compared to Josh. so I don’t personally think the Ravens have ever played the bills in the playoffs with a QB advantage. I think the opposite. Don’t you?
  9. Yeah the Harbo's love Roman. So I do blame them a little bit because he's their guy. I think Lamar's development as a passer is kind of overblown. 2019 Lamar was still an absolute force and that remains arguably the best year of his career. A TD% of 9 is just bonkers.
  10. Unless you have a Time Machine and are very very sneaky, you will never know exactly what happened because you will never be there. Our best information comes from the reports that came out. Asking for stronger evidence is laughable on its face. Are you not sure George Washington existed because you weren’t there? Do we all need to hold our horses that Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of the Independence because we just don’t know, none of us were in the room. Absolute inanity.
  11. Oh the lengths you will go to defend the Pegulas. “You don’t know the reporting by people who were there was accurate. You weren’t there!” Talking about the important of maintaining your family’s lifestyle while also telling your employees times are tough, and sacrifices will need to be made, including them not getting raises or bonuses is actually a good thing!
  12. Nutso. I doubt the players have that much faith in McD at this point. I’ll ask again at 0-5.
  13. Let’s play a game. Who is more likely to beat the Chiefs in 2025 and win the Super Bowl with the Bills roster? McDermott or Payton?
  14. I mean maybe. It wouldn’t be the first time BB schooled another great coach in the SB. McVay still has nightmares. Those 2018-19 Pats team were weaker offensively but had a truly elite defense. The next season (2019) they were first in basically everything with nearly the exact same group.
  15. IMO, going 0-4 vs the same HC/QB who aren’t going anywhere anytime soon is just as unacceptable as losing to Case Keenum. It’s hyperbole that they would’ve won the SB. They would’ve gone to the SB.
  16. What good QBs has he taken the ball out of their hands though? Herbert is the only one, and seeing as Herby is addicted to playoff meltdowns, it doesn’t seem like a bad strategy.
  17. I agree somewhat but, the Saints won in 2009 (Katrina was in 2006) and they never missed the playoffs with Brees after drafting Kamara (the 2017 Saints draft is like an All-Time class though, probably one of the best in their franchise history).
  18. Yeah that’s basically it. I’m not sure anyone called it a sure bet, but I’m pretty confident that Payton doesn’t go 0-4 against Reid/Mahomes. I do think he’s a very good coach, even if he’s a bit of an arrogant ass. I’d probably trade the win over Bo Nix for getting past the Chiefs once this decade.
  19. The 2017 Bills were just as boring if not moreso imo. As far as allowing Josh Allen to be exciting, McD has been very clear that his ideal offense is taking the ball out of Josh’s hands much more than we have previously seen. In fairness to Harbaugh, he has Roman who has always struggled with building a modern passing offense, and absolutely dreadful WRs outside of Ladd. They went back to the WR well again this year and we’ll see if that makes any difference. I also think there’s an argument to turn around a team in the modern NFL, you need buy-in equity. The chargers winning ugly into the playoffs probably went a long way in that locker room, not dissimilar to how McD was viewed after 17. He has now cemented it as his team imo. The negative Nancy’s lol. if McD wins a Super Bowl, him and Beane can stay until they die for all I care.
  20. To get you back on track, do you not think Stefanski wins 10 with that roster? Or Tomlin or Harbaugh?
  21. Feel like this is 90% of McDs resume.
  22. Not really. i think @Buffalo716 is over the top with his McD praise, but I do believe him and Beane do deserve credit for identifying and developing Allen. As well as overhauling the Bills losing culture. Now maybe if Payton is here in 2017, we feel comfortable drafting Mahomes and the Chiefs miss out on him, but the fact of the matter is if Payton was fired, he wouldn’t have ever considered Buffalo as a destination in 2017. And that’s kinda the problem I see with McD, largely. He deserves credit for Allen and the Bills turnaround. But what we need in 2025 and what we needed in 2017 are very different and that’s why I don’t think he’s too good to fire. If Payton was coach in 2020 to now, do I think we would’ve done better? Absolutely. But I wasn’t ready to fire McD then and can’t really hold that against anyone.
  23. To echo that, a 5 year agreement would be basically a 5 alarm fire they are pending a sale for me lol.
