I say it because I have no idea if this issue is chronic - neither he nor the team has said anything of the sort. Nor was it severe enough to keep him out of subsequent practices. I don’t really put much stock in how bad “it looked” to a bunch of fans and reporters.

National outlets probably want to focus on new faces in new places for preseason. The Bills are largely the same as last year.

Trading Teller was an isolated mistake. There’s no indication they will do the same with Elam. Which can’t even be known at this point, since we, and the Bills, didn’t know Teller would turn into a pro bowl guard. So even if they did trade Elam (which they won’t) there’s no guarantee he would turn into an excellent corner somewhere else.

i’d put my concern-o-meter at about a 1/10. Right in that “who gives a ****” range

yeah, I mean maybe. I’m of the mind that this whole “grit” stuff is almost 100% BS and talent wins out in the end. So long as most key players are checked in and not completely belligerent to the cause, if they’re good enough, they’ll be fine. far as I’m concerned you can chuck “eye of the tiger” in with “grit” “culture” and “process” on the the big bonfire of boomer aphorisms and kill them dead.

I come here to read what @GunnerBill has to say about the team and then laugh at the rest of the “experts” and “business geniuses” and “mensa members” on here. Best of both worlds really.

Yep. In this case though, with the top two starters being the age they are and with the respective injury histories they have, I give Hamlin a rather large edge over Marlowe, despite his lengthy history with McDermott and his impressive special teams contributions. If Poyer and Hyde were 2-3 years younger, and without the Hyde neck question and Poyer’s laundry list of recent nicks and cuts, then I think the competition would be a lot closer. But unless Damar shows evidence of some sort of hesitancy on the field or other mental block, he’s making the team.

so stats don’t “lie”, they just “deceive.” Which is a distinction without a difference. Because if the stats don’t align with your eye test, which has absolutely no weight, the stats must be degraded as well. is that what you’re saying? Of course it’s not, that’d be ridiculous.

not really a compliment since it points out the idiocy of your argument while trying to be nice… Look you can have issues with how the defense has been coached and called (which are no longer relevant with Frazier gone) all you want. The stats are just numerical representations of what happened on the field. So you saying “stats lie” and incredibly dumb s*** like that doesn’t help your cause, which seems to be sinking by the day. Stats don’t lie, because they can’t lie.
