Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)

And that whining will be never ending. -
Exactly. The NFL’s popularity is such that it simply doesn’t need to push or fix any specific outcomes. People will continue to watch no matter who wins. Conversely, the astronomical risks to the league, both monetary and legal, if they in fact did engineer outcomes makes this thread and discussion ridiculous.

Yeah, and Donaghy got caught. How did Donaghy get caught? Because people talked to the FBI. Which was my point. You claim how “easy” it would be for a ref to throw a game, but these nefarious things are never a secret for long. Parties in the know will eventually talk, for a whole variety of reasons. So until that happens in the NFL, I’m not assuming it’s going on.

great info and yeah I vaguely remember back when it happened they had to do a blood draw. And honestly just the sole fact that you’re driving 156MPH through a residential area at night, you’re beyond reckless, and if you kill someone I don’t even care if you had anything in your system at that point. You go away for more than 3 years.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)

SoFi was initially budgeted to cost $2.66B. It actually cost $5.5B. Extreme example, but all these things end up costing way more than the price announced when they close the deal for one. If that thing in Tennessee (which is hideous, btw) ends up costing $2.1B I’ll eat my hat. https://www.mecreeled.com/how-much-did-it-cost-to-build-the-sofi-stadium/#:~:text=The cost of the arena, constructed as of this writing. -
Hard evidence would convince me. Do you have any of that? The NFL is an enormous operation. If anyone (refs, league officials, the Rog himself) were on the take there would be word of it by now. Until then I chalk it up to plain old incompetence.

So, a comparison just for everyone (and I’m just picking this since it happened a day before the Ruggs sentencing): Tory Lanez, a semi-famous rapper, just got 10 years for shooting a very famous rapper, Megan thee Stallion, in the foot following an argument. She’s fine now. And Ruggs kills a woman and her dog and gets a 3-10 sentence? There are a multitude of differences in the cases here (Lanez went to trial, for one) and I’m not attempting to make a 1:1 comparison here but damn, given the proximity of the announcements it sure does look really bad for those prosecutors out in Nevada that this is what they landed on for Ruggs.

yeah no that’s a loooong shot.

Sportico releases 2023 NFL franchise valuations (Bills at 29)

All driven mostly by market size it appears (with the exception of Green Bay) so no surprises here. -
Saleh doesn’t come off as an extremely knowledgeable “x’s and o’s” guy in the episode, more of a hard core “players’ coach” and motivator. I don’t have a problem with him at all, and actually do kinda like him (besides the team he coaches.) Hackett on the other hand…

Most shocking thing about this was seeing how jacked Method Man still is. Good for him. Jets still suck.
-
beane will find someone if he has to. Probably would take a trade at this point though you’re right.
-
Jesus. Dunning and Kruger would like a word sir.

I think that’s the role they want for him. If he plays his way on the field for more snaps, hey, bonus. He’s not a top 3 option right now…that’s Diggs Gabe and 🤞 Kincaid. Knox and Cook out of the backfield. He’s not a prime option but injuries can and will happen - if this guy shows up that’s fantastic.
-
honestly no idea what to think or make of this guy yet. He’s had a great camp. Hopefully he fills out that WR3/WR4 gap and gets his numbers. His numbers basically being what he put up last year in Miami. His catch% is not great though.

Well to be fair, this whole list is voted on by current players and put together directly by the league (and broadcast on NFL network.) so the usual suspects have nothing to do with this.

That‘s a wishing well post but damn I hope you’re right.
