  1. Even if the remaining games were meaningless (they’re not) there is some precedent out there suggesting that parking your starters for an extended period of time before the playoffs isn’t necessarily a good idea. So Im not on board with anything the OP is suggesting, even if his premise was sound.
  2. I hope Allen does he certainly deserves it. Diggs I can see getting offers as well. Both are telegenic and great personalities. I’d suspect the biggest thing holding them back is the smaller market they play in (although that didn’t stop progressive with Mayfield.)
  3. All the more reason to disregard any and everything he says. Why spend even one moment absorbing what Teddy says about the Bills? Because he’s on ESPN? Not a valid reason. ESPN sucks and has sucked for years and you should find new outlets for NFL analysis.
  4. YES and YES. Fans like you need to absolutely stop getting huffy and puffy over this BS. That’s exactly what I am saying. It’s old and terribly played out. The team is great. Their record and their various statistics are there plain to see and prove they're great. Stop finding and singling out people with their own biases and agendas that are telling you otherwise. The insecurity is palpable.
  5. and like i said, “right now” depends on the observer. I can take a longer view and say Mahomes has been and still IS the best QB in the league, and I’d have just as much evidence to back that up as people who think Allen is (and Rodgers fans, for that matter.)
  6. not disagreeing with you it’s the same point I was trying to make. These guys are winded up saying these commentators are wrong because “RIGHT NOW” (as in, this week I suppose?) mahomes and allen are playing at an equal level. Sure. Are we re-evaluating after every game then? Of course not. Mahomes has been and is better. Allen can change that though; he’s capable of doing it.
  7. They are far from meaningless. Wait until today’s games are over at least man.
  8. Okay so how fine of hairs are we splitting here? Mahomes sat out his whole rookie year and Allen had to play his. Does that count for anything? Is there another non-point to make?
  9. And hey it’s definitely a nice thing to wish for sure - Daboll is as instrumental as anyone in molding Allen into an MVP quarterback. I don’t fault you for wishing. But decision makers on other teams (especially on teams with young QBs) are salivating right now, waiting to throw money at Daboll. Will he be a good HC? Maybe. Will he get a chance? Absolutely.
  10. so eloquent
  11. Well “right now” if you’re ignoring the very recent past accomplishments of mahomes (MVP, Super Bowl win) and are looking at, what, week to week evaluations? Sure, they’re equal I guess. Seems like a fool’s errand to look at it like that though.
  12. Fantasyland. Daboll isn’t turning down an NFL head coaching job for more money, not under this head coach. Keep dreaming though. It’d be a different story if he was serving under an old head coach, headed for retirement and Daboll was given insurances (as well as a raise) that he’d be guaranteed the job. But McD is a young coach, who just signed an extension. No way no how Daboll sticks around if he’s offered a HC job. Silly to even entertain the thought.
  13. That’s a very good idea.
  14. That really is a valid point though. One of the only ones you can still make comparing the two. Can’t really point to comparative stats anymore; both are awesome. But mahomes has won, allen has not. That’s a fact. Not sure what point you’re trying to make here.
  15. Long posters take note - this is how you do it
  16. Team finds a way to get it done week after week. Kumerow TD was an A+ design and an A+++ throw
  17. Who says we need a better backup!?!
  18. I’ll wait until he wins a playoff game at least but he’s certainly knocking on that door.
  19. I’m thinking Moss is the better back at this point.
  20. Am I the only one that thinks your ignorance doesn’t deserve it’s own thread!?!?
  21. Looks like Carr just tore his groin
  22. A long time ago. My stance on him is fair or not, by the end of his time in GB he was actively making himself look foolish and well past his sell by date. Rodgers resurgence under LaFleur only underscores my view. And yet MM gets a chance to coach a very popular NFL franchise with one of the best young QBs in the game? Yeah nah. MM is trash.
