He certainly has. And “getting better right now” could have involved a bunch of different changes that didn’t include benching fitz, who was playing very well at the time. Now they’ve driven the first dagger into this kid’s confidence for really very little reason. Sure you want to beat Denver and stay on pace with the Bills but is being one game back (plus a half with the Bills’ tiebreaker) that bad a situation?
Not sure exactly what “paid news” is, but I have a suspicion. Also why not just come out and say what you mean by “other certain types” of QBs. Don’t leave us in suspense Gene.
okay. Sorry i simply don’t buy that. Maybe you’re watching certain outlets more closely than I am, but I look at a bit of everything and have seen almost nothing but praise this year, even on the very few down weeks Allen has had. I suppose there could be one or two guys out there like Keyshawn who’ll never be convinced unless Allen wins a Super Bowl.
Yeah for sure. The cliche “they’re keeping things simple for him” is an understatement with Tua. But honestly that’s probably the smartest way to go about it right now.
The quick release is partly a function of the plays they’re calling for him, but he’s not terrible. Again, let’s see how he’s doing after 8-10 starts when there’s a decent amount of pro tape on him. Not knocking or praising the guy just yet.
Not saying Tua’s “nothing,” but you seem convinced he’s pretty great after a handful of games. How about hold off on either condemning or crowning him until he’s played, oh, at least a half-season worth of games?
