  1. hey i didn’t say he was good at those things. He absolutely looks crooked at this point and I can’t believe he’s hung on for this long in that officiating office.
  2. Sad but calls like this will continue to happen every year because the league refuses to fire Al Riveron. That non-explanation in the officials’ twitter is classic Al. Nothing has changed with him - he is still more concerned with protecting his refs’ misjudgments and covering his own you-know-what than getting calls correct.
  3. should’ve said great “for a rookie.” I have full faith in the coaches and whatever their reasoning for not playing him more. They see him every day.
  4. could be any number of guys. Have to wait and see when the inactives are announced tomorrow. Edit: could be Duke himself actually.
  5. gotta be a numbers thing. Said earlier they’ve 5 healthy CBs active currently. I think Dane is great, but who do you sit amongst that group of Wallace, Norman, Johnson, Neal and Tre? I really don’t think they’ve had 6 CBs active in any game this season but I could be wrong. Can’t find an easy way to look that up right now.
  6. they’ve got 5 healthy CB active right now. Have they carried 6 yet into a game this season? Not sure.
  7. he had some monster games. He also had 4 games with 3 or fewer catches.
  8. that’s exactly correct. Since the voters only vote for a single TE, there is no 2nd team TE this year because no one came in 2nd in the voting.
  9. Run by the Associated Press every year. 50 voters, they vote for the best player at each position. Top vote getters are 1st team, 2nd place vote getters are 2nd team. Much more legitimate than, say, pro bowl voting.
  10. what does what mean? The all-pro team?
  11. no disagreement from me. Some of these voters don’t take things like that into account is all. Or they think a shiny double digit interception count supersedes that.
  12. eh Howard was the interception leader that probably influenced them.
  13. fair enough. Wawrow tweeted the vote breakdown Kamara did get 3 votes at RB.
  14. vacant because Kelce received all 50 votes at TE.
  15. Awesome. Also I see that Donald and T. Kelce were the only two unanimous 1st team all-pros. I’ve no issue with those two, but I gotta wonder - which of these 50 voters did not have Derrick Henry as 1st team at running back? He is absolutely a unanimous 1st teamer. Crazy who they give these votes to.
  16. Exactly right and this is why you’ll see more of what is now being reported today: Colts DC Eberflus turned down a HC interview with the Texans. The consequences of this inexcusable mismanagement won’t end with Watson.
  17. “Where does it stop”.... ”A line has to be drawn somewhere”.... Your words. What would you call it? So yeah, seriously.
  18. It starts and ends with the owner keeping his word and not alienating his top employee. That’s it. You bending over backwards trying to find a slippery slope isn’t fooling anyone. There isn’t one in this case. The owner (again, allegedly) went back on his word. He’s an imbecile.
  19. ok guy. Did the board explicitly tell you they were going to consult with you before hiring the CEO and then just change their mind and hire Akers?
  20. Uh, the OP states that Watson wants a trade, not that he’ll definitely get one. So you can “be kind” but the bases for these rumors that @Alphadawg7 cited are way better sourced than you jack.
  21. No such things as curses friend. Even if they’re were, I’d say Mahomes broke that last year.
  22. someone would most certainly pay that for Watson. defense is definitely a problem but they have more than enough problems on the offensive side of the ball too. No running game to speak of. Watson was sacked 49(!) times this season.
  23. I mean, I’m sure they don’t want to trade him, but you’re 100% right on the stupid part. A series of actions by the team leadership led to this.
  24. well if you look above it wasn’t just about the GM search, it was the coaching interviews as well. Look do I think it’s a good idea to consult with players on front office/coaching hires? In most cases probably not. Watson’s case is a bit different because he’s a sure fire franchise QB with a big contract. In any case however, the team (allegedly) made assurances to him that he’d be consulted on these things, and then Cal and Easterby turn around and hire another Patriots flunky without even running it by Watson. He has a legit gripe. Ownership there is incompetent, and this Easterby fraud has poisoned the well even further. Don’t think the Texans are going to budge, but I hope Watson gets his way. Texans are a tire fire.
  25. Well stinks for them. Should be able to beat Pitt without Stefanski though.
