We've seen the last of Taylor Rapp IMO. Saves us $3.3m off 2026 cap to cut him next offseason. Easy choice. Beane has a lot of easy choices next year: 1. Cut Rapp=$3.3m savings 2. Cut Samuel = $6.3m savings 3. Cut Knox (or he cut's his salary in half)= cut $9.5m savings 4. Re-do contracts for our top 4 Cap Hit guys: Josh, Ed, Dion, Spencer --- significant savings, continue to kick the can 5. Extend/new deal: McGovern 6. New deal: Torrence Harder choices / see how these guys perform rest of season: 1. Taron: cut = $3.3m savings (as of now he looks like we should be replacing him) 2. Potentially: Bass; cut = $2.9m savings --- then draft a kicker Focus areas: 1. WR 2. DE 3. S 4. Nickle corner

100% --- Shaq is the "new guy", but people quickly forget how good Milano really is. Just need him to stay on the field is the main problem. Bernard too. This is our best "coverage" LB group and most agile --- having them ready to go is the biggest thing, and helps offset some of the concerns of losing Ed. Defending Kelce, the middle of field, and spying/containing Mahomes on scrambles. Mahomes does his most damage climbing the pocket and finding open receivers over the middle of the field --- we absolutely need Milano/Bernard/Taron to be on their "A-game" for this one. Dorian can fill in as the 3rd LB just fine, in base 4-3/run sets.

I have a hypothesis re: Allen that checks a couple boxes

Yeah b/c Josh is the first QB to have a pregnant wife/kid on the way?? Lol, I mean heaven forbid Patrick Mahome's dysfunctional wife can manage lol -- and Patrick didn't seem phased. And I get that Patrick had poorer seasons statistically, but he also lost Tyreek and KC was reconfiguring their offense. He made it count when i mattered most. My experience, it's the mother who has their brain rewired with 1st child and many studies show that. -
Steelers ownership growing frustrated with Tomlin
MasterStrategist replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah EXCEPT - Tomlin inherited a Super Bowl ready roster when he took over for Cowher. Had a future HOF QB at the helm, and several other HOFs/All-pros. Who did McD inherit again? -
They need that "surplus" of picks to make a move for a QB, just my opinion. That was their original intent to stockpile. They finally just got Calvin Austin healthy. Signed MVS, I think to the P/S? And have Roman Wilson, high pick for them last year, sitting around. Steelers already have 2 weapons being underutilized in Jonu and Freirmuth. I'd be surprised to see them trade for a WR --- defense is what's killing them right now.

Is Joe Brady the main issue on offense?
MasterStrategist replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Im trying to think back to LY, and I we played any pass defenses like this years schedule so far? Just seems every week is a legit #1 CB/shutdown type that we are going against. Ravens: Humphrey albeit best in slot. No surprise we did have some success throwing outside against them Jets: Sauce, top 5 type any given sunday Phins: should've lit them up more, but we had some very nice drives and stuck to run too long Saints: moderate success, this is when concern started IMO Pats: Gonzalez is a top 5 type any given Sunday. Also Carlton Davis, who is no slouch either Falcons: Terrell, top 10 type - his length and physical play is difficult Panthers: Horn is a top 5 corner IMO, hes really played well this season Chiefs (upcoming): McDuffie is used all over, hes a top 5 corner overall (slot/boundary) but his length isnt ideal, you can only beat him with precise ball placement/bigger wrs Not saying its an excuse, but should be considered that weve literally faced 3 top 5 corner types already - and McDuffie this week. I think biggest issue, we are absolutely not built to be converting 3rd and 8+ this year. Man under 2 deep, is what we constantly face. We have to stay in 3rd and 4 or less, keep threat of run alive. Means avoiding dumb penalties, dominating at OL. That's where we are built to win, up front and using our TEs. We did alot better this weekend getting chunks in run game. Im not sure why we dont use more stretch/bootleg right now. We have the ability to use this.succwssfully. -
10/26/25 GAMEDAY Bills at Panthers 2nd Half game thread
MasterStrategist replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
No he was in on that 2nd down savk, and being double teamed. Hoecht has been our other "dt/sindie" rusher on obvious pass downs, and Walker came off for him on 3rd -

Oliver will be out for many months, not several weeks, if its a bicep tear. But agree with the rest, and something is off with Josh not sure if injury or frustration -

Im not expecting this at all. Its going to be a close game- Carolina is playing well, undefeated at home. Dalton or Young, both have their faults- but their run game is very good and their defense is fast. Horn is a true lock down #1 corner, hes going to limit one side of the field. And with Kincaid likely out and Palmer, let's see what Brady can design. I think we win, but thinking 27-20. -
Joe Brady Nuggets from Penn St Insider
MasterStrategist replied to Mat68's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lets see our offense post bye. Teams go through rough stretches. Im also not judging Brady with this WR crew. Main gripe, is just not involving our RBs in the pass game. Thats very confusing, given Tys success and thats a big positive of Cooks. Im expecting we see alot of this tomorrow. Horn going to lock up Keon, expect more targets funneled to Shakir and the running backs. Need to get ahead of sticks more often, 2nd and 4...3rd and shorts. Too many unsuccessful 1st and 2nd down plays. -
Definitely excited to see him in action. However limited his snap count is. Plus Hoecht, Oji, and maybe just maybe Hancock at FS? Great week to see what we have in Hairston and Hancock - knowing Chiefs will be coming in with alot of momentum. Younger and speed is what our secondary is missing, hopefully Beane hit on these picks.

two Player that can really change the Bills
MasterStrategist replied to dbfla10's topic in The Stadium Wall
And Mahomes could retire if he wins a SB this yr... see this game is easy. Its called pure speculation on your part during a boring bye week, and some spoiled fans disappointed that we arent 6-0 right now. Put your money where your mouth is...ill spot you 100-1. Go ahead and put 1k down, that Josh retires after this season.
