hjnick replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives

I'm praying Mims falls to us. -
Would you trade 2021 1st for 33 today plus(revised)
hjnick replied to jkx2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. We were in the playoffs this year and we were 22nd. That's a huge fall from 22 down to the second round. There were still a good amount of impact players at 22 that we will probably need next year, like LB and Safety. Don't sacrifice the future. -
A 2020 Fans Perspective of the 1st Round
hjnick replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let me start with, I do NOT want to trade our first round pick for any other player where we are paying them 10MIL+ because it defeats the purpose of a cheap good player. BUT getting WR Diggs was worth it this one time because we needed a #1 WR on this team BADLY and we were NOT going to get that with our 1st round pick. Jalen Reagor is a WR from the Big XII's TCU team. I've seen him play quite a lot. He is a very electric player, but I think philly really reached for him. They could have traded back to the back end of the 1st and he would have still been there. Even though drafted higher than projected, I can see why they did this. Last year they drafted the RB our of Memphis and he was also an electric type of player.... so why not go and get the same kind of player but a WR. -
2020 NFL Draft: Round 1 discussion
hjnick replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, Diggs is the CB I'd like to take in the 2nd, but I'm more fond of a WR or DE. I think we can find a RB in later rounds that we can use... but I'm not so sure we could find a Mims or Claypool in later rounds (esp. Mims). -
2020 NFL Draft: Round 1 discussion

Out of the players you listed I hope Mims, Claypool, Gross Matos, Epenesa, Uche, or Diggs drops to us... The 2nd round tomorrow will be very interesting... -
Manziel's best play was running around until a WR got wide open... it wasn't sitting in the pocket. Tua runs when he as to, not the other way around. Tua >>>>> Manziel Manziel had bust written all over him... That's why the only ppl interested in him was Cleveland and Jerry Jones.

TSW Mock Draft 3.0 - 4 Rounds - Complete!!!
hjnick replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Virgil and everyone who helped him and everyone that drafted, thank you for the mocks... I really enjoy seeing who ppl pick. -
Sometimes Tuff Love is needed...

At 54 the Bills will take? Your guess here!!
hjnick replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nobody... we will probably trade this pick. -
So, is the best case scenario for us if this happens. 1 Burrow 2 Tua 3 Chase Young 4 Chargers trade up... Herbert. 5 Dolphins???
-
I think another thing about those trades and why ppl wanted those players was the contracts those players signed. All those contracts, I bet, were very cap friendly. So a team gets a decent player at a good cap hit... that's worth a 5-7th rounder.

AJ Dillon not in the top 100... Pick this dude in the 4th/5th round. -
Report: Raiders close to a trade for Yannick
hjnick replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I'm the raiders, once pick 20 comes on the clock, I call the jaguars and say "Sorry, had to draft XXX, I got a second available for Ngakoue." -
I wouldn't take that deal if I was Detroit. You drop down to 18 and 26 this year and a first in the 8-18 range probably. That is a huge drop where you are losing a bonafide high, 10 year in your program player (hopefully) for 1/2nd round graded draft picks, very far from sure things. Now, if you get 5 in return, then you are still getting a legit high quality player. IMO, Miami would have to overpay by a lot for me to lose that type of a player.
-
If I'm Detroit, I'm laughing all the way to the bank... Yep, trade with me at 3, I'll take your extra 1st round picks, THEN still probably get Okuda (CB sp?) or Tua at 5....

Shenault and Gandy-Golden!!! Sign me up! -
That dude was a cut above the rest.

Bryan Edwards - great body control and performed well at South Carolina James Proche WR Renfro Texas A&M CB - Just makes plays Miles Bryant Washington CB Tanner Muse S

Trades would make it almost impossible to make it. Let's say you get to pick 25, from 25-32 there are normally a good amount of trades to get someone before the end of the round.

Which 6-8 players/positions will the Bills pay big money to?
hjnick replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the cap going up and Mahomes will probably get his 40MIL, yeah, I think Josh will get somewhere from 35-38MIL, IF he continues his progression. -

I think what he is saying is Linebackers and Safeties are like RB's on the offensive side... they are needed, but you can get good ones in middle late rounds so you don't pay them premium money that you can use on other positions that are harder to fill, like DE and CB.
