  1. NFL Network - Rapoport/Pelissero are reporting the Panthers and the Bucs are going to pursue Watson
  2. Actually more recently he said he'd like to get the Giants to around $40 million in cap space. Trade Barkley? That saves them more than $7 million. Sterling Shepard released after June 1st saves about $8.5 million? How about trading James Bradberry - That would save them more than $12 million.
  3. This is long but I actually took the time to think out my picks from what was available and tried to reason out each one of them. Is it sexy? No but I think it makes sense and was successful. I didn't like what was there at 25 so I traded back to Tennessee for 26 and their 5th round next year. They took safety Lewis Cine Then Green Bay offered me the 28th and their 3rd next year for the 26th. They took linebacker Devin Lloyd At 28 Seattle rang wanting that pick and the 89th for the 41st, 72nd and their 2nd round pick next year. They took OT Trevor Penning at 28 and running back Jerome Ford at 89. Still not liking how the board was falling when Pitt called for 41 and 245 while offering 52 and 84 I accepted. They took QB Carson Strong at 52 and QB Mike Beaudry with the 84th. At 52 I took Derion Kendrick a 6'0 200lb CB from UGA. He started out at Clemson as a WR and was compared to Sammy Watkins. His sophomore year he switched to CB because of numerous injuries in that room. After a couple of games Clemson made the move permanent and he finished the season 2nd team All-ACC. He was even better his junior year and finished 1st team All-ACC. Then after being suspended from the team he entered the transfer portal which allowed UGA to pick him up. He finished last season 2nd team All-ACC, was the MVP of the Orange Bowl and won his 2nd national Championship. More importantly Smart and Swinney both speak very high of him and Smart went as far to say he was the key player that allowed their defense to excel. He played in the Senior Bowl and did not allow a completion. Next next pick was Phadrian Mathais at 57th. He's a massive 6'4" 312lb DT from Alabama who appeared in 54 games over his 4 years. He was known as a power player who was a great run stuffer with only 1.5 sacks over his first 3 years (40 games). I say "was" because this past season he dropped the QB an amazing 9 times from the DT spot in addition to adding 49 tackles, including 10.5 for a loss, a forced fumble, 2 fumble recoveries and 2 passes deflected . Mathais was also defensive captain this past season. In the 3rd round I traded the 72nd pick and a 5th from next year to move up and get 6'0 200lb CB Kyler Gordon of Washington. He has great athletic ability. Is considered very "football" smart. A willing hitter at the line. Solid in coverage and can play zone or man. He has a high floor and a very high ceiling. If not for Stingley, Booth, McDuffie (his teammate at Washington), Gardner and McCreary teams would be looking his way as a 1st round prospect but his draft is deep at the top of the CB board so he slides. With the 84th selection that I got from Pitt I took OC Alec Lindstrom from Boston College. He finished with the No. 3 pass blocking grade in the country at center (84.6) and allowed just one sack and two quarterback hits last season. He was All-ACC twice and a finalist for the Rimington Trophy which is given to the nation's top center. He finished 2nd to Tyler Linderbaum. He can play guard although center is his natural and best position. With the concussion's Morse has had and it being the last year of his contract drafting an insurance policy for this season and developmental replacement. His brother has been the starting guard for the Falcons over the last 2 years. The next selection I had was 127th and with that I took Alec Pierce a 6'3 210lb WR from Cincinnati. While there a number of great receivers in this draft Pierce may very well have the best hands of them all. In addition he is long armed and his coach said when a 50-50 ball is thrown to him it becomes a 60-40 or 70-30 because of the radius he possesses. He's not just tall and long - he's fast and ran a 4.33 40 plus he showed out not just during the season 884 yards on 52 catches - a 17 average but also at the Senior Bowl where he reportedly had one of the best weeks of practice. I then traded away #167 in the 5th round for #180 and #199 to the Jags who took OG Chasen Hines. At 180 I selected Obinna Eze from TCU. When it comes to tackles Beane likes them big and Eze is huge. He's 6'8 330 with quick feet. At TCU they would have him pull frequently on running plays. While a very good run blocker he still has a lot of work to do mostly because he only played 1 year in high school and while at Memphis he didn't play his first year, in only 5 games his second year and 14 in his last year before transferring to TCU where he started 11 games. In other words he's very raw but has an upside as big as he is and you can't coach size. With pick 185 I took Josh Paschal a 3 year starting DE for Kentucky. He's got decent size at 6'3" 275lbs and has played both on the edge and inside. While not a great pass rusher he was lauded for his play against the run and was named 2nd team All-SEC. He's strong but not overly quick and like most players this late in the draft has to work on his technique. That being said the way the Bills rotate DEs during the game he might have a chance to be more than inactive on game days. The 199th pick that I got from the Jags I picked up Iowa State LB Mike Rose. He's considered one of the best LBs they have ever produced and he has the numbers to go with it including 41 Tkls for loss. He was 1st team All-Big 12 in both 2020 and 2021. Last year in addition to being one of the top tacklers in the nation he had 5 Ints which was the 3rd most of any LB in the country. A quick big hitter with coverage skills and size (6'4" 245lbs) its almost as if he was built to cover TEs. Seeing the Bills lost Fromm and Webb to the Giants at 204 I took Jack Coan from Notre Dame. The QB had a very good season for the Irish completing 66.5% of his passes to go with 25 TDs to 6 Ints. His previous season, in Wisconsin he completed 69.6% of his passes and threw for 18 TDs vs 5 Ints. He played in the Shrine Bowl and was impressive by all accounts. Both in the practices and the game. My last selection was Jake Camarda from Georgia. Yes I took a punter. He's consider one of the best in the nation and I have little confidence in Haack. In his 4 seasons there he averaged nearly 46 yards. Out of 187 punts he put 69 within the 20, 57 were fair caught, 22 downed, only 32 returned and 67 that were longer than 50 yards. Not only was he the SEC Special Teams Player of the Year he had a great Senior Bowl Week (where they found Bass) and in the game he average 51 yards on 6 punts with a long of 58 yards. So to recap I finished with: 52 - Derion Kendrick CB Georgia 57 - Phadarian Mathias DT Alabama 69 - Kyler Gordon CB Washington 84 - Alec Lindstrom OC Boston College 127 - Alec Pierce WR Cincinnati 180 - Obinna Eze OT TCU 185- Josh Paschal DE Kentucky 199 - Mike Rose LB Iowa St 204 - Jack Coan QB Notre Dame 230 - Jake Camarda Punter Georgia In 2023 - Seattle's 2nd round, Green Bay's 3rd and Tennessee's 5th round selections.

  5. A lot of talk about his drops - let's look at those and catch rate. 2019 - 10 drops on 50 targets (20%) and a catch rate of 56% 2020 - 4 drops on 44 targets (9.1%) but a catch rate of 54.5% 2021 - 4 drops on 71 targets (5.6%) and a catch rate of 69% Just for comparison Kelce this past season. Not saying Knox is Kelce - just for comparison!! 10 drops on 134 targets (7.5%) and a catch rate of 68.7% Knox has improved his game both as a pass catcher and especially as a blocker. Is he a top 2 or 3 TE? No but is he a top 10 at this point. Absolutely. So if money is your issue remember the 10 highest paid TEs this past season were Kittle 15m, Kelce 14.3m, Andrews 14m, Henry and Jonnu Smith 12.5m, Hooper 10.5, Ertz 8.5, Pitts 8.2m, Logan Thomas 8.02m, Jimmy Graham and Gronk 8m Based up his production, if Knox continues the growth he saw last year 8m is a starting point and it goes up from there.
  6. With Quinn staying in Dallas I think that increases the chances that Frazier goes to the Giants. The 6 that got a second interview were New York Giants defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, Daboll, Frazier, Brian Flores, Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo and Quinn. With Quinn out and Daboll reportedly the favorite in Miami (I'd hate to see him go there but it would make the most sense for him - more talent than in NJ, coached Tua before so he knows his skill set and no state income tax) it leaves 4 defensive coaches. Their own DC? Nah. Anarumo? Possibly - he's from there and he coached the Giants DBs before taking the Cinci DC job in 2019. Frazier? Led the #1 defense, Schoen knows him and he's been around long enough that he could be a build great staff. Flores? He didn't like Tua and didn't want to develop him. What would he do with Jones? Granted I'm sure he could bring in some of his ex-Miami staff and he's know for discipline. Plus back to back winning seasons although no playoffs. Ranking them? Flores, Frazier, Anarumo and then Graham. With Flores and Frazier too close to call.
  7. Reports had Daboll at $1.2 million last season. Callahan 237k, Canada made 650k, AVP 917k, Mc Daniels 4 million, Shurmer $6 million, LaFleur $10.6 million.... Venables at Clemson $2.5 million, Elliot at Clemson $2.13 million, Elko Texas A&M $2.1, Grantham Florida $1.8.... Note those and the other highest paid OCs in college are at state schools Additionally, UM was considering him for Head Coach - which is now Cristobal who got a 10 year $80 million deal that upset the school staff because they had to take pay cuts. If they offer him over $1.5 million as a first year coordinator the staff will flip!
  8. “Every quarterback would love to be a part of the process. There’s a guy in this building that I’m a huge advocate for. Again, it’s not my job. It’s not my decision to make.” - Josh Allen My hunch is if Daboll leaves Dorsey will be the new OC - just a hunch.
  9. Just rechecked the way too early mock drafts that have come out since the game on Sunday - looks like the way too early consensus is the Bills need a CB or IOL CBS - CB Andrew Booth Jr. - Clemson DraftTek - LB Nakobe Dean - Univ of Georgia Flurry Sports - IOL Kenyon Green - Texas A&M Walter Football - LB Damone Clark - LSU The Sports Bank - WR Drake London - USC SI - CB Roger McCreary - Auburn Border Fuel - IOL Tyler Linderbaum - Iowa NFL Bucky Brooks - CB Roger McCreary - Auburn Game Haus - RB Isaiah Spiller - Texas A&M Draft Countdown - CB Kaiir Elam - Florida CBS - CB Daxton Hill - Michigan Sporting News - CB Trent McDuffie - Washington PFF - CB Andrew Booth Jr. - Clemson Pro Football Network - S Jaquan Brisker - Penn State NFL Mocks - IOL Kenyon Green - Texas A&M NFL Spin Zone - CB Trent McDuffie - Washington College Football News - CB Kaiir Elam - Florida That CB 9x, IOL 3x, LB 2x, WR 1x, RB 1x and S 1x
  10. That's what Over the Cap projects based upon where they are selecting, last year's numbers and expected increase this year. https://overthecap.com/draft/
  11. I just looked through a number of mock drafts that came out today and this is what I found: DJ - CB Kyler Gordon, Univ of Washington CBS - CB Daxton Hill, Michigan PFF - CB Andrew Booth, Clemson Sporting News - CB Trent McDuffie, Univ of Washington College Football News - CB Kaiir Elam, Florida
  12. They have a starting RB. The Bills OC just needs to use him regularly. They are going need a CB, DT, O-line depth and a 2nd TE before they need a RB
  13. Daniel Jeremiah has the Bills selecting Kyler Gordon https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/kyler-gordon That makes a lot of sense because Wallace is a UFA
  14. A player like Fournette? LMAO!! In the regular season: Fournette 180 carries for 812 yards a 4.5 average - a long of 47 yards, 5 carries for 20 or more yards - 8 TDs - 45 1st downs - 2.5 yards after contact Singletary 188 carries for 870 yards a 4.6 average - a long of 46 yards, 6 carries for 20 or more yards - 7 TDs - 44 1st down - 2.4 yards after contact In the post season: Fournette 13 carries for 51 yards a 3.9 average - a long of 11 yards - 2 TDs - 5 1st downs Singletary 26 carries for 107 yards a 4.1 average - a long of 16 yards - 3 TDs - 11 1st downs So you want a guy that is basically the same guy? Ummm, ok.
  15. I fully he was referring to the fact rosters always change from one season to the next. When it comes to the Bills they only have about $9 million in cap space band the following are going to Unrestricted Free Agents: Jerry Hughes Mario Addison Vernon Butler Emmanuel Sanders Mitch Trubisky Ike Boettger Levi Wallace Twain Jones Efe Obada Isaiah McKenzie Matt Breida Harrison Phillips Justin Zimmer Siran Neal With only $9 million to spend they can't keep all of them - if the wanted to - plus they are going to need roughly $9.5 million for the rookie draft pool. Oh and Ryan Bates is going to be a RFA. I don't see them giving him a 1st round tender but if they put a 2nd tender on him he's get a contract worth the greater of $3.384 million or 110% of prior-year base salary. Seeing he made $850,000 this past season that would mean he'd get the $3.384 million. They won't put an original round tender on him because he was a UDFA. If they put Right-of-first-refusal tender on him he'd be offered a 1 year contract worth $2.133 million and the Bills would have the ability to match any offer from a another team. If they released Morse they would save $8.5 million and have $2.75 in dead cap money but them who moves to center? If they release Beasley they would save $6.1 million against the cap and have $1.5 in dead cap. If the let Klein go hey save nearly $5.2 million and have a 400k dead cap hit. Ford would save them 1.52 million and count as $870 in dead cap space. Matakevich would save them $2.5 million and cost a hit of 750K. Releasing Feliciano would save $3.4 million and leave a dead cap hit of $1.5 million They are going to be changes. Players released. Some contracts reworked. All of the UFAs won't be back. The unit won't be the same.
  16. I'm going to comment on Allen's post season because I'm still trying to process what happened last night 48 of 62 77.4% completion rate - ranks 1st 10.3 yards per attempt - tied for 1st Long of 75 yards - 1st 9 passing TDs - 1st 0 Ints - 1st Sacked twice - 1st among all QBs that played two games QBR 94.4 - 1st Rating 149 - 1st 134 yards rushing - 2nd 7.9 yards per carry - 1st among all players with at least 6 carries Long of 26 yds - Tied with Deebo Samuel for 6th 67 yards per game - 3rd 10 1st downs - 2nd to Singletary He's a unicorn and the future, as much as last night stings, is bright.
  17. I was going by his bio on the team site - not when it was reported. https://bufbills.com/player-bios/ken_dorsey.pdf As for step back - yes they took a bit of one but I think that had to do a lot with line play and a lack of a running game for the bulk of the year.
  18. Dorsey makes the most sense. He was a pro scout in Carolina before being promoted to QB coach where he made the playoffs in 4 out of 5 years and a SB. Plus worked with Newton and helped develop him in to a MVP. He's been working with Allen since 2019 and helped develop him in a MVP caliber player. Additionally, he was given the added responsibility of passing game coordinator in 2020. Plus he's played in the league under Erickson and Crennel.
  19. Literally no. Over the first 8 games for some unknown reason gave more snaps and carries to Moss. Over those 8 games Singletary had only 73 carries!!! Still he had 355 yards which is 4.86 per carry. Daboll screwed up all season when it came to the back until the last few weeks when he FINALLY let the more productive back carry the rock and be featured!! I went over this before and here it is again - of all backs that had at least 150 carries on the season Singletary's 4.6 per was 6th best!! When you look at the top 10 in rushing yards from scrimmage 4 averaged more yards per carry then Motor. The 10 averaged 253 carries on the season. Motor had only 188. That's 65 fewer!! If he had just the average of the top 10 he would have had 1164 rushing yards which would have been 5th in the league. He's 188 carries is only 11 a game over the course of the season. 253 would have meant almost 15 per game (he averaged 19 carries the last 4 games) over the season. 4 more carries a game isn't a lot - especially when Moss wasn't as productive. Daboll screwed up most of the season - thankfully he figured it out when it mattered most!!!
  20. First time they had back to back winning seasons since 2002 and 2003 with Wannstedt (only coach to last 4 years under Ross) and they fire the guy? Last season they went 10-6 and would have been in the playoffs if not for a season ending loss to the Bills. This year after a 1-7 start they rallied to a winning season and beat the Pats to close it out. Fired because he was a good coach, strong willed and got the most out of his players but butted heads with the GM. Damn I love the Fins front office!!!!
  21. If they release him before June 1st they save $4.15 million and have a dead cap hit of $5.2 million in 2022 and save $6.35 million and have $2.6 million in dead money in 2023. If he is designated a post June 1st cut it's $2.6 million dead money both seasons and savings of $6.75 and $6.35 million respectively.
  22. Wanted to point out a couple of other things when it comes to Motor He only has 164 carries on the year. Not sure why Dabold gave so many snaps, carries and especially so many red zone carries to Moss through the bulk of the season. Anyhow, with his 4.6 ypc average he places 10th among all RBs with at least 100 carries. When it comes to total yards rushing he's 18th in the league. However the top 10 backs in rushing yards average 237 carries on the season. If he had those 73 - yes 73 more carries - at his average he would have 1090 yards rushing which would place him 4th in the league. That's only 4.5 more carries per game. Seeing he had 7 games with 7 or fewer carries and 13 games with fewer than 15 carries that isn't much of a leap. Additionally he averages a rushing TD every 28 carries. The top 10 rushers? JT is 1 every 18. Mixon every 22. Chubb every 29. Cook every 39. Henry every 22. Harris every 73 carries! Elliot every 22. Harris every 22. Gibson every 40. Mitchell every 31. So Motor would be 6th on that list in efficiency BUT those backs get the ball regularly in the Red Zone. The Bills and Motor would get inside it and for the bulk of the season Dabold would turn to Moss and let him poach TDs. Which again makes no sense to me because Motor's TD runns on the season are from 46 yards, 2 yards, 16 yards, 2 yards, 6 yards and 4 yards out. He can obviously punch it in!!
