  1. Without video the cops get away with murder and assault. In the Minnesota and Buffalo case the report doesn't match the video. They lie, cover for each other, plant evidence, and use excessive force too often. More widespread use of video is the only reason we are seeing what has been going on for decades. And even when there is sufficient evidence, juries still let them off. Video has also shown that use of force has been justified. Multiple body camera videos show suicide by cop when the police are attacked and they response is justified for their safety. This man posed no threat to these cops in body armor. They assaulted him because they knew they could.
  2. He's done. He has a Peterman arm and is now a cancer in the locker room. Cut him now. He was at best a marginal possible upgrade over Barkley. Cut your losses now.
  3. Hijack thread in progress... Bills should have amended/extended his contract and paid him like the elite LT he was. Sometimes the other party has all the leverage in a negotiation and you just have to avoid making a bad decision. Trading one of the 6 or 7 best LT's in NFL history because you can't deal with an agent is weak. Excellent call out. At least with the other 4 the Bills got some high level play for many years before losing them.
  4. There is so much middle of the road talent on the o-line roster now. Agree with most, that they will move someone for a late round pick. I like Knox and Kroft as the tight ends but I can see them trading Kroft if Sweeney has a great camp. I would keep all three but I could see it happen. I think they carry three QBs this year. I don;t think Fromm can beat out Barkley yet and Barkley has no trade value. All that being said, Hauschka has to be the most likely. He is still a capable player at a position of value for many teams. If the rookie shows anything, they will deal Hauschka after pre-season game 4.
  5. Of course they do. This gives them the perfect out to not return to St. John Fisher. It costs too much money and there is no need to have camp away from your state of the art training facilities. I get it that it is a fan favorite and I admit the last training camp I saw was in mid-80's in Fredonia. But I just don't see the need for the travel to Rochester to train. Hold a joint practice there once a fall. That would be well received and well attended.
  6. Trading Peters is the worst personnel decision in Bills history. He will be a first ballot HOF player that the Bills developed. He should be one of the great BIlls of all time. This was not a first round draft pick they missed on. This is a guy that they coached for five years. He was an elite LT and only 26 years old. Arguably one of the worst trades ever by any franchise.
  7. Don’t forget Trent Murphy, 3 yrs at $22.5 M in the worst FA signings ever.
  8. If the criteria is most important players for the Bills then it is Bruce, OJ, Kelly, and Thomas. If you want most talented and productive compared to peers, then it is Bruce, OJ, Reed, and Thomas.
  9. If I’m the Dolphins, I start Rosen for six games. If he shows he can play maybe he can be flipped for a draft pick. If he bombs then who cares.
  10. MVP and best players aren't necessarily the same thing. He wasn't even the most talented Williams on the DL.
  11. MVP 1. Shady 2. TT 3. Fred Jackson I honestly can't come up with any more than that. Most talented 1. Sammy Watkins 2. Shady 3. White 4. Dareus 5. Mario Williams 6. Kyle Williams 7. Jackson 8. Hughes 9. Stevie Johnson 10. Wood TT is not even in my top 10 most talented. But he was the perfect QB for a great rushing offense with a great defense. Rex destroyed a top 3 defense and with it ended his coaching career. All Rex had to do was keep Greg Roman and Jim Schwartz. That combination of incredible defense with a QB that had the lowest INT percentage in NFL history would have been a force.
  12. Kyle was a very good player and great for Buffalo. But he was at the center of some historically bad run defenses.
  13. Jets were beating Bills in season opener until their Linebacker got hurt. The two teams are not that far apart. I like our specialists better on offense.
  14. Hopefully Walt has a better and far more consistent interpretation of indisputable than Riveron did. Every week his threshold for upholding or overturning a play changed.
  15. Agree. I dont think he should be in the HOF but he is still greatest HC in Buffalo history
  16. Agreed. Bills RB group has a lot to prove. Is Moss fast enough to play in the NFL (Pac-12 run defense is awful)? Can Singletary keep up his high YPC when he is the feature back and will he stay healthy? Who is the third RB? And of course, why is DiMarco still on the team and why was he featured in the Houston game???? Oh dam, that was a bit of PTSD....
  17. NIce call out. I was going to add him as an honorable mention - of course after I looked up who it was...
  18. There will be a ton of cap space when Murphy, DiMarco, and Star move on. They will restructure Morse in a couple years if he does not play better. I don't understand why the Bills don't use the franchise tag more often. My strategy would be to extend White now. I would make him highest paid DB in the league. In two years his contract will look like a bargain. I would then tag Dawkins next year. I think he is an average LT and I would be willing to overpay but not over commit to him beyond 2021. That gives them two off seasons to draft his heir apparent ideally with a first or second round pick next year. I'd let Milano walk and hope I can turn his signing into a comp pick - maybe a 4th rounder Feliciano and Long both will be gone after 2020. Either Ford, a free agent or more likely a draft pick will fill the RG spot. I would have extended Hyde and let Poyer play out his contract but the Bills and Poyer made a good/fair deal so win/win for player and team So can I afford to extend White Poyer and Hyde??? That will be tough. Safeties can be had in the draft and they can play well early. Or they could go free agent or convert a corner like Taron Johnson to safety. In the end, I try my hardest to keep this group together and hope Hyde gives them a bit of a discount. The Seahawks let the legion of boom fall apart (injuries played a big role too)and they still have not recovered. As for the big tow, I'm in no hurry to extend Allen or Edmunds. Both have shown promise but neither is a true superstar worthy of their draft status yet. But if they continue to improve then of course you keep the QB first. If Edmunds starts to play at a Bobby Wagner level then you start shredding other parts of the defense like Hyde, Milano, and Hughes to keep Edmunds. Then backfill OLB and DL in the next two drafts. So in recap, to make this work, they need starters at LT, RG, OLB, DE, and possibly a safety in the next two drafts. That retains Allen, Edmunds, White, Dawkins for 2021 and probably Hyde while presuming Ford is a starter at RT or RG and letting Milano, Star, Murphy, and DiMarco walk. It will be a very difficult task but getting 4 or 5 starters out of two consecutive drafts is not impossible. Of course a few of those roles may be filled with veteran free agents for a year or two.
  19. Washington - Lou Saban - Two championships, two coaches of the year. The story of Buffalo Sports starts with Wilson and Saban Lincoln - Marv Levy - despite being outcoached in all four SuperBowls he still has the most success of any HC in Buffalo history and the brightest wit Jefferson - Ted Marchibroda - the architect of the our democracy and the architect of one of the great offensive systems the NFL has ever seen. Roosevelt - Scottie Bowman - both mavericks and both equally or more known for their accomplishments outside of their respective tour of duty as President or HC of the Sabres.
  20. I would love to know how many Bills fans travel from Buffalo to away games vs travel from other cities. I travel to Buffalo for a game or two a year and to an away game or two a year. Will definitely go to SanFran and Vegas games. Other than Steelers the Raiders fans seem to travel well to Bills games. No other team stands out as having a large presence in Ralph/New Era that I can recall.
  21. Bills mafia is as stupid a slogan as is the jumping on tables is the dumbest act. Makes Buffalo fans look terrible. Bills fan travel better than any other fan base and none of this nonsense goes on at away games even with 20K fans in attendance.
  22. I hope they extend Dawkins and let Milano walk. No need to overpay for an undersized LB. I'd tag Dswkins to avoid committing to him long term. But if is willing to sign a reasonable extension then I'd be ok with that. They have one more year maybe two at the most that they can overspend on a few guys. Bit they can't tie up too much cap beyond 2022 or they wont be able to sign Allen as and Edmunds.
