Daboll play design is not the issue. He gets guys open. It is his personnel groupings, lack of commitment to some semblance of a running game, and inability to keep Allen under control at times that are the issues. All correctable BTW. On to Miami
This is spot on. Even when he had time he forced throws downfield. Dink and dunk wins the game. Our WRs are good with run after catch often turning 4 and 5 yard receptions into 6 and 8 yard gains.
I'm still alive!
There are some great matchuos this week. Im going with the Packers over the Lions in Green Bay. No way Rodgers loses at home and goes 0-2. Lions are inept.
Agree Collinsworth is the best.
Steve Levy is fine. Griese and Riddick just talk too much. It is non-stop from the time the whistle blows to the next snap. If they just cut back 30% they would not have to be so verbose when discussing minimally important plays or players.
I believe it is because the CDC does not support surveillance testing in lieu of vaccination. And that is how many governor mandates and employer mandates have been rolled out in the last several weeks.
That's a good question. We faced the same issue at our health care organization and we got the state to approve any WHO approved vaccine not just the three approved in the US
Jackson has thrown short, intermediate and deep routes. He has thrown right left and middle. According to this board he is a limited QB? Most of his passes have gone to WRs. The only pass I have not seen tonight is deep middle. What am I missing?
Not disagreeing with you on Roman but Jackson has completed 73% of his passes with a TD and no picks. He has completed passes to 6 different players and more than half the completions went to receivers. What else is Jackson supposed to do?
Since only 70K fans can be in the stadium and the rest watch on TV, the vast majority of fans would take a SB win no matter what path it took to get there.
Never once posted Daboll must stay. He was a weak hire with an inconsistent coaching career at the time. But he is a coordinator do its hard to judge with the talent he has or the competition he is facing.
A vanilla modern gameplan of 3 WR 1TE 1RB set wins that game. I care a little about the run pass ratio but I care much more about the positon group frequency breakdown. He telegraphed pass to the defense in a game the Bills were winning for 2/3rds or it. That is not smart and not winning football strategy.
I know it is silly and it is only 1 week but it feels like Bills 1989. So much pent up anticipation and pressure to perform. I give McD crap all the time but honesty this is one of his strongest traits as a HC. He usually does a good job in keeping the team focused. Case in point the run they went on after the Hopkins miracle TD catch.
If it worked you would call it genius and deceptive. You can't criticize one play call.
You can criticize the game plan. Going 4 and 5 wide nearly 40% of the game played into Pittsburgh's strength. They rush 4 against our 5 OL and they drop 7 against our 4 or 5 wideouts. The numbers are in their favor.
