  1. The pick comes out to about a 45th according to Ian Rappaport:
  2. As a rookie poster, thanks for making a thoughtful post. And also thanks for spelling "nickel" correctly! :-)
  3. Atlanta confirms an October home game will be in London against a non-division opponent: https://www.atlantafalcons.com/news/atlanta-falcons-plan-to-travel-to-london-in-october So the opponent would be Detroit, New England, N.Y. Jets, Philadelphia or Washington. Hope it's New England, lol.
  4. I see what you did there. I see what you did there. I see what you did there.
  5. Fromm is essentially a rookie, as we still don't know what we have in him. We also did invest a 5th round pick in him. Given that Trubisky is here for just one year probably, if Fromm shows promise this pre-season, I would keep him on the roster and not risk him being poached from the PS. Didn't we carry three QB's at some point in in 2018 (among Allen, Anderson, Barkley, Peterman), although I admit we still didn't know what we had in Allen at that time. He's still on a rookie contract, and we have him cheap. If he doesn't show promise, he can battle it out with Webb for the PS spot (assuming Webb is still PS-eligible).
  6. I loved Goodwin's 84-yard TD catch vs. the Jets when he burned Revis. I was so excited when that happened. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EqEUD3jJLE [sorry, NFL won't let me embed this video here] Also, another Goodwin TD, also vs the Jets:
  7. From TMZ Sports front page: https://www.tmz.com/sports/ Excerpt: "8:54 AM PT -- We just spoke with attorney Todd Hollis who spelled out the allegations against Donald -- saying it all started when Spriggs accidentally bumped into Donald inside of a nightclub. Hollis says both parties were asked to leave the club -- and Donald got aggressive with Spriggs outside ... ultimately attacking the guy. Hollis says he has submitted a "formalized statement" to cops -- and told us his client is seeking a criminal investigation into Donald."
  8. Joe Delaney was a stud. Not too many people here remember him. It's sad how he passed. (BTW, his coach was none other than Marv Levy).
  9. Wouldn't you prefer them on the road then, so we can host them later if/when their roster gels and BB gets better post-September?
  10. That actually sounds like a very good choice. He would fit. I just remember being furious when it happened. I was like in elementary school back then and even I knew it was a live ball. And sorry to all...I didn't mean to hijack this thread, lol!
  11. Nice find! I had forgotten about that one. No excuse for committing that kind of play. I am still trying to rack my head over who did it in the 80's.
  12. Good post. Speaking of too stupid to be on the football field, does anyone remember who the Bills player was who let a kick off go unfielded in the end zone, thinking it would be a dead ball, but the other team recovered it for a TD? This was in the early 80's I think. I was too young to remember the name, but knew the rules and was freaked when he let the ball bounce around.
  13. LOL! I give! He seems to have a helluva leg. Hope he does well this season.
  14. Jordan was a big fan of Buffalo in the 1990's (both the Bills and Sabres). He even had his Bulls play here is 1992: https://spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/buffalo/sports/2020/05/15/when-air-jordan-landed-in-buffalo Excerpt: "But did you know MJ and company once played in Buffalo? Russ Potts is the man who brought an exhibition game between the Bulls and Kings to town on October 28th, 1992. [...] "Walking into The Aud that night was even different than I remember as a kid following the Braves because clearly everybody was there to watch number 23," Kindberg remembers. "Every time he touched the ball you could see camera flashes going off. When he came out of the game to get a rest, as I recall, there was some booing. Like Phil Jackson couldn't do anything right. I guess he had to leave Michael on the floor the whole time. It was just a special, special opportunity that Western New York and Buffalo in particular was not going to get. You knew that there wasn't going to be an NBA team returning to Buffalo anytime. So this was the one chance to see the greatest player in NBA history.""
  15. 24 votes from the owners are still needed to pass these. Voting takes place later this month. [Sorry, I don't have a lot of time to comment, but wanted to post this since it might be of interest to readers here. I didn't see this posted elsewhere after a search and looking at the first two pages.] Here is the article and the endorsements: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/31177555/more-video-review-potential-rule-changes • Expansion of the scope of information that replay officials could provide to on-field officiating crews during games. Replay officials -- as well as other members of the league's officiating department -- would be able to advise on possession, a completed or intercepted pass, whether a player is down by contact and the position of the ball relative to a line or boundary. • The elimination of overtime in preseason games. • Allowing a maximum of nine players in the "setup zone," the 15-yard area behind their restraining line when set up for a kickoff return. This proposal could make it a bit easier to recover onside kicks, a challenge that has grown harder since the NFL's 2018 revamp of the kickoff. The Philadelphia Eagles proposed a more radical change, giving teams an option for one play to gain 15 yards to keep possession after a score, but similar suggestions have failed to receive enough votes in previous years. • A significant restriction on blocking below the waist beyond 5 yards of the line of scrimmage and 2 yards outside of the offensive tackle. • Prohibiting playoff teams from signing players who had been cut by teams whose seasons were complete. • Requiring teams to report tryouts and visits to the league office throughout the year.
  16. I'll save everyone time: 7:04: Carlos Williams 16:26 Cyrus Kouandjio Also at 18:20, Kelvin Benjamin and Sammy Watkins are briefly mentioned.
  17. I remember a thread in the mid-2000's on the now-defunct BBMB entitled something like: "Would you trade JP Losman for Tom Brady straight up?". And the poll associated with it was 50-50. Another poster there claimed Losman-Evans-McGahee were the next Kelly-Reed-Thomas. LOL!
  18. Bojo better be re-signed. He is an excellent punter, and punters are relatively cheap for the good they can do in regards to field position (and consistent ball holding for kickers). We don't need the added headache of his loss.
  19. Thanks for making this thread OP. It needs to be stickied.
  20. It began at noon today, EDT. The first day to sign contracts is March 17 at 4 PM EDT.
