  1. From the website: "Choose from 31 Teams & Shield Logo" So why is there no version for the Las Vegas Raiders?
  2. Thank you for making this post Gugny. You call it like it is, and I like your style. We need to use this as motivation for next year. Don't make excuses, and just go out and kick butt. :-)
  3. I heard on the radio today (Colin Cowherd?) he may go to Jacksonville to play for his old college coach, Urban Meyer.
  4. Buffalo (and Cleveland and Green Bay) could not compete against the Phoenix weather, marketability for Watt's "brand", and, most importantly, former teammate DeAndre Hopkins, who convinced him to go to Arizona.
  5. He was a very good player. The article only included current players though. I personally wouldn't put him in the HOF. He was a leader on championship teams, but so were lots of other good players in the NFL--way too many for only seven players (five current and two from the Senior Committee ?) enshrined per year. He did have four trips to the Pro Bowl and once was an All-Pro, but that isn't quite good enough.
  6. Machine Gun Kelly: you have been so nice to me with this and your other post. And thank you for taking the time to write this. This really encourages me. Thank you for being so welcoming. I try my best. I try to post only when something is meaningful; and try to add substance to the forum, especially now that it is slower in the off-season. But most importantly, I try to emulate the well-respected posters here: you and a number of others. This board is both very civil and knowledgeable, and I like that. As for potential Hall of Famers for our team, I agree with you. Still way too early for Allen, Diggs, and White (as well as McDermott, Beane, and the Pegulas), but their futures appear to be bright. Right now, Tasker is the one who really needs to get in.
  7. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/every-nfl-teams-most-likely-future-hall-of-famer-tom-brady-aaron-donald-among-17-locks/ Here is my summary, with lock or not from CBS. They list two former Bills as locks: Jason Peters and Frank Gore. Not sure I agree about Baltimore's Justin Tucker as a lock considering so few special teamers get in. Steve Tasker belongs in before Tucker. Former Bills player LeSean McCoy is not listed, and won't get in, IMO. Arizona - Larry Fitzgerald - Lock: Yes Atlanta - Julio Jones - Lock: Yes Baltimore - Justin Tucker - Lock: No, but close Buffalo - Tre-Davious White - Lock: No "White is still in the early stages of his career Josh Allen's 2020 season gave him consideration for this spot. But the nod ultimately went to White, who followed up his 2019 All-Pro season with a second consecutive Pro Bowl selection. White's play last season helped the Bills reach their first AFC title game since 1993. More seasons like the one he just had may get Stefon Diggs into this conversation next offseason. In his first season with the Bills, Diggs led the NFL in receptions and receiving yards while earning his first All-Pro nod. " Carolina - Christian McCaffrey - Lock: No Cincinnati - Geno Atkins - Lock: No Chicago - Khalil Mack - Lock: No, but very close Cleveland - Myles Garrett - Lock: No, but appears to be on the way Dallas - Tyron Smith - Lock: No Denver - Von Mille - Lock: Yes Detroit - Adrian Peterson - Lock: Yes Green Bay - Aaron Rodgers - Lock: Yes Houston - Deshaun Watson - Lock: No Indianapolis - Justin Houston - Lock: No Jacksonville - Josh Allen - Lock: No Kansas City - Patrick Mahomes - Lock: No, but closer than you think Las Vegas - Derek Carr - Lock: No Los Angeles Chargers - Joey Bosa - Lock: Yes Los Angeles Rams - Aaron Donald - Lock: Yes Miami - Xavien Howard - Lock: No Minnesota - Harrison Smith - Lock: No New England - Cam Newton - Lock: No, but this should be up for debate New Orleans - Drew Brees - Lock: Yes New York Giants - Saquon Barkley - Lock: No New York Jets - Frank Gore - Lock: Yes Philadelphia - Jason Peters - Lock: Yes Pittsburgh - Ben Rothlisberger - Lock: Yes San Francisco - Richard Sherman - Lock: Yes Tampa Bay - Tom Brady - Lock: Yes [They also list Gronk as a lock and Antonio Brown as a possibility if he continues successfully] Washington - Brandon Scherff - Lock: No Top Free Agent Candidate: JJ Watt - Lock: Yes
  8. For all those who want Fitz, do we really want a 38 year-old QB who will be turning 39 mid-season? Father time may catch up to him, his performance last year notwithstanding.
  9. FWIW, Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports has Kansas City taking Melifonwu at 31, right after we pick at 30. He has Edge Gregory Rousseau going to us: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2021-nfl-mock-draft-steelers-49ers-panthers-all-trade-up-for-qbs-dolphins-land-wr-and-rb-for-tua/
  10. Yep. New England will suck still with Mariota. Along as they don't get Garoppolo, and Miami still tries with Tua.
  11. Maybe, but they still have one of the best defenses with all their opt-outs returning. You can't just throw that away. Plus Belichick is too old to do a rebuild. He needs to win now to cement his legacy before retiring. If they were going to take their lumps, this was the year to do it. And he is too arrogant; he thinks he can win with what he has and still outsmart the other AFC East teams.
  12. I remember reading about the big time Georgia Tech vs. UGA rivalry. There is even a name for it: "Clean Old-Fashioned Hate"! LOL. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clean,_Old-Fashioned_Hate
  13. [I searched the forum, but could not find anything. If already posted, please merge or delete.] This was on Colin Cowherd's radio show yesterday (2/16/2021). He makes 11 QB predictions for this off-season: Here is the video I found: https://www.foxsports.com/watch/1862125635925 My summary of what he said: 1. Deshaun Watson will be traded to Carolina for Christan Mccaffrey, Teddy Bridgewater, and multiple first found picks. David Tepper, owner of Carolina, is highly aggressive and a roll-the-dice guy, like Steve Ballmer. Plus new head coach Matt Rhule has power and influence in the organization. 2. Teddy Bridgewater to Houston: Houston needs star power for marketability, which Christian Mccaffrey will give; and Bridgewater gives them a one-year gap QB. Bridgewater is a non-chaotic team guy, respected, stable, has a steady hand (which Houston needs), and can learn a new system fast. 3. The NY Jets draft Zach Wilson: a new GM always wants his own guy at QB, not leftovers (Sam Darnold). Wilson grades higher pre-draft than Darnold did. 4. Sam Darnold goes to Indianapolis. The Colts liked him pre-draft and run a run-first offense, which Darnold is perfect for. And Darnold needs a re-boot. Head coach Frank Reich likes athletic QB's, like he did Wentz. Phillip Rivers could not give them that or move the pocket. 5. Chicago acquires Carson Wentz. They already declined Mitch Trubisky's 5th year option and think Nick Foles is not the answer Wentz has a strong arm to cut through the Chicago wind. Their GM and coach are desperate as they are on the hot seat. Chicago needs someone to compete against Aaron Rodgers. 6. New England acquires Marcus Mariota, who is a strong runner and has more accuracy than Cam. Plus he will be a low cap hit, which New England likes. He also knows the AFC. They will be a better version on offense with Marcus than Cam. 7. Atlanta drafts Justin Fields, who can learn for a few years behind the aging Matt Ryan, who is still under contract for two more years. Fields is not NFL-ready yet. People also miss Michael Vick's athleticism, which Fields has and Ryan doesn't. Fields is also from Atlanta. 8. Houston drafts Trey Lance, who is not NFL-ready yet and can learn behind Bridgewater. He gives them the star power they need for marketability. They also get a great deal from Carolina with multiple first rounders and a star RB. 9. New Orleans re-signs Jameis Winston. He is cheap, which New Orleans needs; and will be better the second year in a system, even thuogh he did not start this year. Winston also led the NFL is passing yards just two years ago with 5,100 yards. He is better than Hill. 10. San Francisco retains Jimmy Garoppolo. He has won 75% of his games. SF needs a veteran QB to compete against Wilson, Stafford, and Murray, despite their misgivings about the durability of Garoppolo. 11. Dallas makes a deal to re-sign Dak Prescott. They were only 4-7 without him, but were at least somewhat decent with him before he got injured. He still works for Dallas; they just need to find the right dollar amount
  14. In 2012, on the former BBMB, a hated poster named "Undertaker" (think Jerry Sulivan-like) from Oklahoma posted condolences for the drug death of Andy Reid's son, Garrett. From what I heard, one of the moderators ended up apologizing that a user by the name of Undertaker posted that. Undertaker then got angry, and I guess this eventually led to his ban from the site, IIRC.
  15. Yep...and some places are so bad they reek of feces and urine from all the homeless. The only good thing is the weather. But as you say, some arts are more beautiful. Glad you and your girl got to experience it.
  16. Yep, I lived in the SF Bay Area for many years. Ridiculous prices and taxes. Too much crime. You had the guts to say what I wanted to, lol!
  17. [I searched and did not find this topic anywhere here. Please delete or merge if posted already.] Ugh. Why does this stuff happen? He was a multi-time Pro Bowler. https://sports.yahoo.com/kyle-juszczyks-hilarious-reason-signed-013412205.html Excerpt: "It seemed all but sure Juszczyk was headed to the Buffalo Bills in 2017 after spending his first four years with the Baltimore Ravens. However, Kristin, who was Juszczyk's girlfriend at the time, was in tears the night before he was set to sign because she did not want to live in Buffalo. So, what did Juszczyk do? He did what any good boyfriend would do, and tried to find a compromise. "The next day, I told my agent, 'Hey, if you can get San Francisco to just match [Buffalo's] offer, I'm there,'" Juszczyk said. "So, he came to them with that, and they did it.""
  18. Jairus Byrd in 2013. Bills former tagged plays: https://www.buffalorumblings.com/bills-news-notes/2016/2/17/11031464/buffalo-bills-franchise-tag-history-list-john-fina-peerless-price Jairus Byrd Nate Clements Peerless Price John Fina
  19. Got it! Thanks for the detailed explanation. I hope McD is reading this thread!
  20. Good point, but it was mostly their D. Gronk, Brown, Fournette, and Brady didn't come until last season. As for Evan, the Bills could have drafted him (or Mack), but instead chose Sammy. Thanks Doug.
  21. Why does McD insist on playing guys out of position like Oliver above, and Edmunds, whom most agree should be moved to the outside?? Ugh.
  22. Thanks for the clarification. I agree; it is a little strange, but nowadays just about anything goes. Enemies on the field are friends in the off-season.
  23. Is that a Jaguars shirt? I couldn't tell. If so...he is in Jacksonville! Maybe his friend made him do it!
