  1. Competed, yes; but we would probably would have lost in the end, just like we did to Baltimore, New England, and Houston. We are a year or two away.
  2. Thanks for doing this! Can you please fix the two typos in your title? They threw me off when I read it.
  3. Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas has made a wager with San Francisco Mayor London Breed. Lucas will visit and bring her Gates Barbeque, Boulevard beer, knick-knacks from The Main, and Charlie Hustle t-shirts if KC loses; and Breed will visit and bring him Thanh Long garlic noodles and roasted crab, rum cake from Dianda's Bakery, and Anchor Brewing beer is SF loses. https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/sports/super-bowl/san-fancisco-and-kansas-city-mayors-place-their-super-bowl-bets-thanh-long-noodles-vs-bbq-ribs/2224137/
  4. He is really tall, but I am not sure. Probably not. But this is the her blog where the pic came from: https://madglab.wordpress.com/2012/03/04/true-life-im-50/
  5. James was not as good as Thurman Thomas, but he was close: James: 11 years Thomas: 13 years James: 7 seasons over 1,000 yards rushing, and one at 989 when he missed two games, with highs of 1,709 and 1,553 yards. Thomas: 8 season over 1,000 yards rushing, with highs of 1,487 and 1,407 yards. 6. Maddy may be only 5'0", but another sports reporter, Kelli Johnson, has the opposite problem: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/08/30/deangelo-hall-will-not-be-punked-by-tall-female-reporters/ "DeAngelo Hall is not about to let a female reporter make him look short. That’s why he asks Comcast Sportsnet Washington’s Kelli Johnson take off her high heels when she interviews him. Confronted on the topic by Johnson’s colleague, Chick Hernandez, Hall copped to the truth. “She was too tall. If I was 6 feet like [Carlos Rogers], I wouldn’t have to do that, but I’m 5-11, so she definitely had to take them heels off for me,” Hall said."
  7. LOL. Maddy admits she committed fraud in college: https://madglab.wordpress.com/2012/03/04/true-life-im-50 "It kind of sucks seeing the world from a low level, but being short definitely has its ups. I still pass as a child anywhere, so I always pay child prices. A year ago when I was in Colorado snowboarding, I passed as a child with my puffy winter jacket and snow pants. The lift ticket was $40 cheaper, completely worth the deal." Here are more pics of how short she is:
  8. And you would be correct. Brain fart on my part. Ugh. Thanks for noticing.
  9. Thanks! I am shocked too. I didn't think it happened at all past 1993.
  10. Seasons with only one week between conference/league championship games and the SB: 1969 - SB IV - Kansas City vs. Minnesota 1982 - SB XVII - Washington vs. Miami (9-game strike-shortened season; SB was originally to have been two weeks after conference championship games) 1990 - SB XXV - NY Giants vs. Buffalo 1993 - SB XXVIII - Dallas vs. Buffalo 1999 - SB XXXIV - St. Louis vs. Tennessee 2000 - SB XXXV - Baltimore vs. NY Giants 2002 - SB XXXVII - Tampa Bay vs. Oakland
  11. Maybe the bills in SB XXV? They seemed to struggle early.
  12. And the state should kick in as well. Buffalo Bills are New York state's only team. He is his brother: https://buffalonews.com/2018/05/03/pegulas-used-own-attorneys-in-pittsburgh-to-investigate-brandon/ "Gregg Brandon, Russ’ brother, is executive vice president and general counsel for Pegula Sports and Entertainment. Gregg Brandon is expected to remain with the organization, a Bills source said."
  13. The NFL would change the break from two weeks to one week back then if the SB would end up in February, a big no-no. Now they want it in February. Go figure. It happened to the Bills twice during their Super Bowl years, including Super Bowl XXVIII against Dallas in the Georgia Dome. (BTW, Thurman complained about that SB, since the Bills were designated as the home team by the NFL, but they got the visitor's locker room, which is always less plush than the home team's.)
  14. Does anyone else find this going through tables stuff by Bills fans juvenile? This is why we need a new downtown stadium to end this ridiculous habit and other similar aspects of tailgating. Start acting like adults. But Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield are not top 10 QB's, yet both are establishing their brands: the former has a lucrative clothing line and the latter does commercials.
  15. Except they targeted Antonio Brown. Glad he went elsewhere. The next step needs to be a new retractable-roof stadium in downtown. The funny thing is, as everyone knows, the Jets and Giants don't even play in NYC, or even NY, lol. I was about to say this same thing. Nashville ain't that much better than Buffalo, except for the weather and lower taxes.
  16. Your article made me become a fan of the XFL just now. Now I just wish Buffalo had a team.
  17. I am not so sure about that. Bob Knight had a warrant issued for him in Puerto Rico. He never went back there to face the charges. No one ever blamed him for that. And do you think Bob Kraft would ever go to Florida to face his charges/punishment if he isn't acquitted or the charges dismissed first? It is just a misdemeanor, so as long as he stays out of the state, he would be fine. The DA is Hawaii just up and dismissed a lot of warrants for people from the mainland a few years ago since he said they would never return to face the charges. So avoiding the charges could be the rational thing to do.
  18. And the Bills won't be able to, since Baltimore says they will franchise him if necessary: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/ravens-to-use-franchise-tag-on-matt-judon-if-a-long-term-deal-cant-be-worked-out/
  19. Like Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa? The whole league was doing them. Strangely, the NFL requires that the host team supply them with 35,000 free parking spaces for the SB: https://961thebreeze.com/could-a-super-bowl-ever-be-held-in-buffalo-read-the-leaked-nfl-requirements-here/ "NFL requires a "climate-controlled domed stadium" if average temperature for that region falls below 50 degrees "Exclusive, cost-free use of 35,000" parking spaces for gameday parking"
