  1. It's our shift to a power run team, to the detriment of our passing offense. 3 TEs, but seriously undermanned At WR. Josh was at his best when we had Brown (vertical threat), Beasley (slot) and Diggs (X). We have Shakir, but have massively failed at both outside receiver spots, the X, and Y. Nothing stresses a defense more than speed, yet, we have very little of it. Combined that with the fact that we have a QB with a bazooka for an arm, and it makes this criminal. I'm done with Beane.
  2. I forgot the total, but between London and Bijin, they had 376yds. Penix is a struggling QB, and those are three only 2 guys you need to worry about, yet, they were often left in space by themselves. It was mind blowing, and aggravating. Babich is lost.
  3. Correct. I fully expect 2 full weeks of practice at the min, more likely McD uses the full 21 days.
  4. I expect there to be a ramp up period. Maybe that 1st game he only comes in for certain situations. If you can't at least do that, and the defense is too complex, then we need a new defense. Wasn't the reason that Dorseys offense failed, was because it was too complex for the offense, but opposing defenses said it was very predictable and easy to read. I'm starting to get similar vibes with our defense.
  5. I agree with this, but will add CB2. Even if Maxwell ends up starting some games, Benford seems to always be hurt come playoffs.
  6. I agree, this isn't even debatable. The biggest head scratching thing to me, is that we're both small and slow. How did we pull this magical feat off.
  7. The 2024 and 2025 draft class absence is absolutely killing us right now. Outside of Deone Walker, who is absolutely killing it 1st, 2nd, 3rd rounders...please stand up.
  8. Drafting for need, instead of BPA, finally caught up with us. Missing at CB, and WR especially.
  9. I guess Brady doesn't learn. We are running at will in this second half, 3rd and a yard, and we decide to get cute....again!!!
  10. I vote for a foot race beyween Poyer and Rapp. Loser wins the starting job.
  11. The PI call was the worse. Ref had bo view of it, and didn't call it until Kelce asked for it. If you see it,call it. I hate these super late flags. Also, the St. Brown drop was huge. DET han an opportunity to lead by 2 scores. Now KC can go up by 2 scores, if they cash in on the double dip.
  12. I've been as critical as anyone about Beane's day 1 and day 2 picks, not named Josh Allen, but I think it's way too early to jump on him about Hairston. I think you're stretching the facts a little to justify your displeasure about the pick. He did have the 1 allegation against him, but by all accounts, it appeared to be bogus. Let's not forget about punt god, and how quickly we moved on from him, and that all that kid did, was be at the wrong college party at the wrong time. I'm not saying that athletes don't do wrong, plenty of them are *hit heads, but they are also easy targets at times. That being said, lets stick to football. Ok, you mentioned he wasn't a willing tackler and were concerned about his slight frame. I think being concerned about his slight frame is valid, but there are a lot of good corners in the league with a slight frame. Heck, the greatest CB of all-time was Deon Sanders. I don't know if you can get slighter than him. It's a risk you sometimes have to take with that particular position. About his tackling. There were multiple draft analysis that said that the kid had no problem putting his nose in there, but that his tackling did suffer a bit, while he was playing through that shoulder injury he suffered. I think we all forget that Josh Allen missed almost a whole season, with what I think was a broken collarbone. Frank Gore had 2-3 ACL tears in college and was an iron man in the NFL. Unless it's a degenerative condition, I wouldn't spend too much effort trying to predict that stuff. Watching Tre getting tourched on Sundays is miserable, especially knowing all that has been invested in the position, but lets give this kid an opportunity to prove himself, once he gets back. I just hope McDermott is willing to live with some early mistakes in exchange for the upside he brings. That's what I doubt most at this point.

  14. It has to be for the right guy. Sometimes the trades that you don't make, can also hurt you, like the year the Rams traded for Von. Amari was washed when we got him, Benjamin did help us break our drought but was a bust otherwise. I would argue he still served his purpose. Rasul was a good 1-year rental, and did help our chances, but wasn't the primary target. I would also argue that he served his purpose. He was a great addition for the 2nd half of that year. If you want more than a rental, you have to spend a day 2, or even day 1 pick For example, Chris Olave to me would solve our issues at boundary receiver that we've had for several years now. Keon simply is not it. Olave would probably cost a 2nd rounder. For corner, we just spent a 1st on one. We would have to target another Rasul Douglas type, and yes, we probably would have to overpay, probably another 3rd rounder, but look at what a crapshoot the draft is. Dwayne Carter for example was our 3rd round pick last year, and Landon Jackson was our 3rd this year. Neither guy that is contributing. We can't keep wasting opportunities with Josh, clock is ticking, and we need to be more aggressive to get the right guys to help this team get over the hump.
  15. I sure hope so and does lineup with the opening of his 21-day window, immediately after the bye, giving him 2 full weeks of practice. If he's fully ready from a physical standpoint, he needs to be out there. It's his coaches job to make sure he's ready from a mental standpoint. He doesn't have to be perfect, let him make his mistakes now, so that he's more ready by playoff time. I don't want the ultra conservative McD approach. We need him now more than ever. If we can't get him up to speed by January, it's more likely than not, that CB2 will kill our SB hopes.
  16. I had that same thought. You couldn't tell as much against Jax, due to the speed they have on defense, but I'm willing to bet we have the slowest secondary in the league, going against the fastest trio. On the flip side, I believe our dline can get some pressure against them, especially up the middle. KC trading Thoney to the Bears, is still puzzling to me.
  17. Babich was awesome as a position coach. Helping coach Milano to his 1st All-Pro and then did same for Poyer and that group. That had me hopeful, that we would see a fast/improved defense. We are now 20+ games in, and I am I'm hoping for McDermott to take over the reins.
  18. I think the Rosseau and Edmunds comp is right on.
  19. For those that want McDermott gone, and I know he has his warts, but you have to be pretty convinced that you landed an upgrade. I pose this. Why is it that our secondary can't cover even no name below average WRs, but equally, when teams man up against us, our WRs can't get any separation? Beane has done a good job building the oline, but it did take a long time, and I honestly have to give Kromer just as much credit.
  20. His scouting report stated that he struggles to get separation. Outside of catching the ball, this by far is the most important attribute. Beane said....sign me up. His day one misses were painfully evident on Monday night. Inadequate replacements at Safety. Still a huge hole at CB, below average WRs who struggle against man coverage. Before anyone tells me he's a top 5 GM, the goal isn't to come in 5th place, so let's be clear on that.
  21. I don't know the exact numbers, but as I watching the game, I said to myself, no one in this secondary ever gets a hand on the ball. Half of our secondary is Tre and Rapp. Both are very average in size, and below average in speed. Teams are regularly exploiting it. Bishop is more athletic, and has improved, but he has short arms, in still a tidbit late to diagnose.
  22. I haven't seen it discussed very much, but we flat out got bullied. I don't remember the last time James and Josh got blasted that many times in a game. I know some came after the whistle, but most were good clean hits. In the pregame they said that the Pats defense is very big and physical. It clearly showed.
  23. Lack of creativity on defense is killing us. Besides the one time we used Shaq as a spy, they just let Maye scramble to his right over and over. How about a corner blitz from that side, or do something to contain him. Babich right now doesn't seem to have enough answers. Also, Tre White needs to get off the field and so does Rapp. Both are too slow and even when in position, they are unable to close on the ball. You need to either have size or speed. How do we manage to lack both? Shaq right now is our best LB.
  24. I will also say that it was a poor use of timeouts. The first one was called prematurely, leaving us one short.
  25. I believe the rule is that if it lands in the end zone, the new touch back rules takes it to the 35, but if it lands in the landing zone, like where it did, and you let it go out the end zone, it goes to the 20.
