That had more to do with what Kelly did, in my opinion, but I didn't agree with him. And again, that was 3 years ago. It's possible he no longer feels that way. Plus, at the time, we're talking about Allen who was in year 2 of his takeoff, vs. a HOF 4X conference Champ Kelly. Not fair to even compare the 2 at that point

I live in Tampa, and it's not uncommon to see him out. I always heard stories about him, and how he was kind of a nasty person. I went to a local sports bar chain, and he was there with his wife and adult son, just hanging. Nobody was really talking to him, and he looked over at me a couple times, almost like saying it's ok to approach, so I did, and we started talking football. I asked him what he thought about Allen, and he said, you guys got a real good one there, but he ain't 12. Keep in mind, that was about 3 years ago, but it still surprises me. But then I started thinking about all the playoff success Kelly had, and the Superbowl appearances, and it kind of made sense. Until Allen takes us to the Superbowl, his greatness is going to be severely limited, at least the perception of it, outside of Buffalo. Forgot to add, he was nice as can be, and was more than willing to talk football for a bit. I think he knew his image had taken a big hit, and he was making an effort to clean it up. Love him or hate him, he's a good football mind

Luckily we have a nice cushion this year, and can afford to play it safe with guys. That's McDermott's MO anyhow. I expect he'll be out 3-4 weeks and miss a game or 2.

MVS has 3 for 108 and 2 TDs today. Not saying he's the answer, but I didn't agree with the decision to part with him. He was the only legit deep threat we had. After seeing Jamar Chase go off on that same Baltimore defense that our WRs struggled against, it's hard for me to feel that way. Ideally you want a top 10 WR, like we had with Diggs, and really good #2. We have Allen, let's try and build the scary offense we can. He's seasoned enough now, that makes it hard for any WR coming in to challenge him, or create a problem.

Kind of hard to catch passes with a banged up wrist. As much as we might need him, we can't risk losing him for the season. We need him against KC in January, not November.

Agree with this and would like to make one minor request, for the Bengals to also miss the playoffs. The way McD runs his team, I expect us to grind it out, all the way through week 18 with the mantra if getting better every week. That's just his style. It would need to be that we are locked in seeding wise, and week 18 is completely meaningless, in order for McD to sit starters. In my opinion of course.

This is exactly how I feel. I know it was a couple of years ago, and there's been a decent amount of turnover for both teams, but I still haven't been able to shake the beatdown that they gave us in the playoffs. Regardless, they feel like the tougher out in the playoffs.

I know he was missed by Seattle fans when he left, but I remember him being a disappointment here. Left us and went on to have a good year with the Jets last year. Very meh...too me. Would've loved to see a trade for a run stuffing type. Jefferson does not help us there.

In my opinion, I guy like that is worth the money. He's an all-around elite football player. Seems like a perfect chess piece for McD.

That would be a really nice addition. I know I will probably get flamed for this, but if it's true that Parsons might be available, that would be the perfect fit for the Bills. He's a linebacker by nature, and not the 3-4 rush type, but was used as a DE by Dallas out of desperation. Seems like he would fit that Hybrid Lorenzo Alexander role. Might be able to add the pop we need to our push rush, and help solve our run def woes.

The all in mentality to me, means taking a really big swing at what you think might be the final piece needed to get over the hump. I also don't think this years roster is there, but as long as you have Allen, you have to do whatever you can, each and every year. You never know, when it might be our year. The key, which Beane has been very good at, is keeping a balanced approach. Adding pieces today, without sacrificing tomorrow too much. That being said, if an elite pass rusher becomes available, that would be my move. I would love to see us trade for DT. Daquan Jones is only a stop gap. He's getting a bit long in the tooth, and isn't half the player he was pre-injury last year. We're also very thing at DT, with Carter still out. Get a DT that can help us this year, who we can also rely on for the next couple of years. We will need to add one in the offseason anyhow, lets get a jump on that now if we can.

Watching that play over again, and it seems like the forearm sustained most of the force, but then Keon braces his fall with that same arm/wrist. Very common way to break your wrist. That being said, hopefully it's not a fracture, and more of sprain/strain. I have more confidence about bouncing back quickly from a wrist vs. forearm.

It seemed like he was starting to get his confidence back last week. Hopefully this game winning 61 harder, finishes cementing it.

I think we have to view him the context that he's a slot WR. Even at his peak, Beasley never eclipsed 1000yds, if Shakir does, that's an outstanding season, and one can easily argue he's among the elite, as far as slot guys go.

I prefer to beat them both times.
