Raiders are open to trading Davante Adams
Allen2Moulds replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
My main concern right now, is that the lack of weapons is going to get Allen killed. He's gotten crushed, 2 weeks in a row. -
Investigating our 1st down passing v HOU
Allen2Moulds replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Except for the playoffs, Josh has not been accurate deep. Generally speaking. Add in a below average WR group, and that margin of error only drops. Until we make teams pay for it, they will continue to blitz us, and flood the underneath Zones. I've always felt that Josh works best in spread formations, with 3-4 WR on the field, allowing him to see the pressure, and field better. Instead of investing more on WR, we've dumped all these resources in TE's. Knox is invisible, and Kincaid is not as good as we were hoping he would be. I just don't understand it. At this point, this regime has to know what works best with him, but they refuse to accept it, and force the issue with an ideology that does not fit him best. -

If we don't get someone here soon, we're going to get Allen killed. -
Do we trust McBeane in next years draft.
Allen2Moulds replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall
I watched with my 16 year old, and he was like it's 1st down, here comes the run again. Painfully predictable. Even with Trubisky in, I would of liked to have seen a quick pass. Where is Knox? Why not throw a WR screen to Coleman. A big WR, who has a chance to break a tackle. This offense is fundamentally broken right now. -
No they're not. The lack of weapons is painfully obvious. This team is hard to watch right now. We've been exposed.

10/6/2024 - Bills at Texans post game thread.
Allen2Moulds replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
9/30....let that sink in. Brady called a bad game once again, and receiving weapons failed to make plays. Kincaid is a good football player, but not good enough to be the featured piece to run the offense through. We really need a go to guy, and have to capitalize on a guy like Adams being available. If not, you can kiss this season goodbye. -

How many times are we going to run on 1st down. We have to mix it up. -
Brandon McManus reinstated - Bass replacement?
Allen2Moulds replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly, I would feel better with just about anyone at this point. For me, when it comes to Bass, it has more to do with how and when he misses. I remember before the miss against KC, everyone in our section had zero confidence he was going to make that kick. There was little doubt. It's not about percentages (career 81 vs. career 84). But it's when he's missing, and how he's been trending over the back half of the year last year, through now. And when he misses badly, and it's not from a block or slip, you can't help but think he has the yepps -

Last year was the first year that I felt we had a good enough offensive line to win a Superbowl. I can't say I have the same confidence in our defensive line. It always feels like we are missing that run stuffing specialist. I know that we were plagued with injuries at LB in the playoff game against the Chiefs, and I believe we were also missing Benford, althought I can't quite remember. That being said, throughout the McDermott era, there's been stretches where teams will run the ball down our throats over and over again, and it just seems that the common theme, is an undersized dline that gets bullied. It happened in the Chiefs playoff game, and obviously against Baltimore as well. I agree with undersized LB's, as it helps with todays game, but why can't we build a bigger dline. -

Overpay would be the better word. At the time of the trade, and even now, I felt it was the right decision to trade Diggs. That being said, I don't feel the Bills have done enough to replace Diggs and Gabe. I didn't like the Keon Coleman pick, because of all the talk that he struggles to separate. Although that might be overstated, the truth is probably in the middle. I have grown to like him, but I view him more as a Gabe Davis replacement, as opposed to a Diggs replacement. I remember leaving that Chiefs game saying to myself, we need to add some speed on offense, and that was with Diggs on the field (minus Gabe). For the first time ever, I remember saying to myself that we miss Gabe, although I'm not sure he would've done much. The other thing that we have to be able to adjust to is that the playoffs is a different brand of football. Guys get away with a lot more contact, being grabby....ect. I believe this is why Diggs struggled in the playoffs the last couple of years. I like the size Keon brings, but we are still missing the speed element. -

I'm sure a guy like that has to be sick of losing. -

To be honest, I'm not sure why anyone would bring up Diggs. We got a 2nd round pick for an aging diva WR, who has clearly lost a step. His ypc is abysmal. He's a possession receiver at this stage in his career. We robed the Texans, like we robed the Browns and Bengals a few years ago. Although the Browns did rob us back...lol. -

I believe I read somewhere that it drops to 8.6m around the trade deadline, and that the Raiders are willing to eat some of it. I would only do the deal, if no new guarantees are added. That being said, besides this being fun to talk about, I don't think it's too realistic. I like the idea of Amari Cooper. He's not at all a Diva, and seems like he would be the better fit. He also provides more speed on the outside, and would get Hollins off the field. Hollins is a fun story, if he's WR 5, not a starter. -

I was initially against the Adams idea (too diva), but no guarantees after this year, which means he'll be in his best behavior, chasing new money. He's an upgrade to diggs, and is better made for the playoffs as diggs. -
As soon as we added those 2, I figured those would eventually be the guys. Maybe this past week, forces the hand a bit more. This is not an attack on McD but I will say, they will all saw Milano outplayed that journeyman vet his rookie year, and it took MCD a bit to play Milano. Very few are as ever as good out the gate as Tre was.

Brandon McManus reinstated - Bass replacement?
Allen2Moulds replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd feel a lot better with McManus as our kicker. How long are we suppose to give Bass to turn it around? Enough is enough. -
I'm not going to panic, I think the big fellas just didn't have the juice this week. You can't fake desperation, and that's what the Ravens were. If there's a rematch in the playoffs, they don't scare me. Moving on to Houston. Had to wait my response, by adding that I agree that Brady didn't stick to the game plan enough. Lack of play action and motion, really hurt us.

I knew that we were not going to sign Justin Simmons, but don't understand why. Dude is one of the best safeties in the league, and is like the Mahomes whisperer. He was on the market for like ever, and signed for a very reasonable amount. Here we are not even out of September, talking about bringing Hyde back....pft

So far WR group looks like a dumpster fire
Allen2Moulds replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
For as good as Beane has been, I've had one thing that has driven me crazy. The lack of speed for Allen. I was ok with us moving on from Gabe and Diggs, but felt that Brian Thomas was there for the taking, and felt like we weren't aggressive enough to try and get him. His skillset is exactly what Allen needs on offense. I think Coleman is a nice player, but right now Coleman seems more like a Gabe Davis replacement, with a much more limited ceiling than Bryan Thomas. We just didn't do enough in my opinion. I was underwhelmed with our draft.
