  1. One thing I've noticed is that Jackson does not complete a lot of passes into tight coverage.
  2. Meanwhile this game has officially entered the Twilight Zone!
  3. That's my take. At times they just give up and don't try to make the tackle. It's a weird lack of effort for a playoff game.
  4. Where the hell did that drive come from?
  5. And the Pittsburgh defense, especially the back end, is greatly diminished in recent years.
  6. Baltimore is playing great and I've never seen so many guys getting high school open on pass plays. It's amazing. Pittsburgh has a real problem. This late season collapse combined with a Marvin Lewis like regression by Tomlin is a real cause for concern. And I don't see how the hell the Steeler's can fix this.
  7. I've seen Watt and other Steeler defenders crash down at least 5 times and tackle Henry when he doesn't have the ball. When you have a stud like Watt the goal is for him to play BOTH guys. When you have Watt crash down IMMEDIATELY ignoring Jackson completely you are wasting a first ballot HOF defensive End.
  8. The Steeler's defensive game plan sucks. They have Watt, the one guy athletic enough to take on Jackson in space crashing down to tackle Henry who doesn't have the ball. meanwhile a safety or LB is supposed to flow out into the flat and tackle Jackson? This is football malpractice.
  9. The point was that they have taken their attention off Jackson and put it on Henry which goes a long way towards explaining Jackson's big jump in production.
  10. Herb had an interesting quote from the Steeler's D coordinator along the lines of "in the past we focused on stopping Jackson. Now we focus on stopping Henry and can live with Jackson getting a 1st down on a run here and there."
  11. The Chargers could really help him by getting rid of Roman. I mean running the Baltimore O with Herbert instead of Jackson seems dumb on its face.
  12. But this is the Arizona, Dallas and soon SF problem - good QB's being paid like Great QB's.
  13. On a positive note for he Chargers is Ladd McConkey the best rookie WR this year? I mean 9 catches for 197yards and a TD in a playoff game after an 82 receptions for 1149 yards, 7 TD's regular season? I would say he is.
  14. The Chargers only hope is for Houston to go into a prevent defense and then Herbert can rescue his stats and only lose the game 23 - 20.
  15. Throwing a one yard pass on 4th & 2, yea that's the ticket!
  16. Throwing a pretty ball every once in a while a great QB does not make.
  17. Herbert stunk up the 1st half going 8 of 20 for 97 yards and an INT. Stroud at least caught fire at the end of the half. If Herbert doesn't get better in the 2nd half it's going to bring up some interesting questions going forward.
  18. Damn, I didn't expect to see such bad quarterbacking from these two.
  19. It depends what you mean by "discrediting Lamar". If you mean people are discrediting Lamar because they point out the advantages Lamar has had this year in his surrounding talent and acquisition of King Henry then I very much disagree with you. To me that is a valid and fair point to bring up. It's also not discrediting Lamar to point out his shortcomings in the playoffs compared to Allen's elite play in many of his playoff games. After all those supporting Jackson never fail to point out Allen's TO's as being excessive. As an aside I think Jackson is going to explode this playoff season. He has an abundance of weapons around him and he should be comfortable in the playoffs in a way he hasn't been previously. If the Bill's & Ravens both win I expect next week to be a shoot out.
  20. Yep that's what I've noticed since Allen got drafted. For sure it's not all media members and there are a lot of football media types who praise Allen in the same spirit that Mahomes is praised. But there is a weirdly large number of these NFL media people who are relentlessly negative about Allen. It seems personal with them and I don't get it given that Allen seems to be a nice guy. The notion that Jackson has been "disrespected" & "under appreciated" is ludicrous on its face as the guy has won 2 MVP's and seems poised to win a 3rd all without any sustained playoff success or accomplishments. Yea I know it's a "regular season" award but there has to be some connection between the award and playoff achievements or the award is no better then a Peoples Choice award. Also 4 of those 5 games were played by the Bills on the road. Beating the two 15 win teams, one on the road, eclipses the Ravens better overall record against playoff bound teams IMO.
  21. And their D has not been all that good late in the season.
  22. As I recall after starting slow the Bills opened up a 24 - 10 lead early in the 4th quarter with Allen's 40 yard TD throw to Diggs. Then the McD/Frazier Defense went into its playoff prevent mode and allowed Indy to score on 2 long TD drives to make us sweat bullets at the end.
  23. Is it though? In early 2021 a 13 - 3 Bills team with their newly elite QB but having very little playoff experience met a wildcard Indy team in Buffalo. Now that was a game where Buffalo was under great pressure as they were expected to roll the Colts that day. Flash forward to early in 2025 - the Bills are playoff experienced and battle tested. I think they will come out in a very business like manner shrugging off any pressure while dispatching the Broncos by 10 - 14 points. It will be close in the 1st half with the Bills pulling away in the 2nd half.
