  1. If you throw the ball away there it's intentional grounding from inside the tackle box.
  2. If Allen just throws the ball away there it's intentional grounding. I have no idea what you're talking about.
  3. And if we had dangerous RB's and TE's this approach would work well. But with Knox out and a pair of RB's that can't outrun LB's or make safeties miss a tackle, the dump off passes are at best good for a couple of yards.
  4. This is so true. The fact is that at the moment everyone gets down on the Bills and start riding NE the story will switch. There are a lot of games left in this season. This was a terrible loss and it may have signaled a fundamental flaw in the Bills offense. On the other hand the return of Knox, Brown and Felliciano could turn things back around. It is on DaBold and the offensive coaching staff to figure out what to do when teams play us the way the Dolphins & Jags just did. I sense that they really didn't figure the Fish out but rather Beasley & Allen simply played exceptionally well to close that game out.
  5. They also went status quo at RB and whiffed on Bridda.
  6. With Felliciano and Brown out we have the worst O-line in the NFL. If we had any other QB then Allen, he Bills would have given up 8 sacks today. The pass and run blocking was atrocious. Sure Allen needed to NOT play hero ball but I also get the frustration. And hero ball may have been the only way we win today given how the O line was playing. And don't get me start6ed on our RB's. My goodness it wasn't until that last drive late in the 4th quarter that a Bill's RB actually made a guy miss. EVERY time Allen dropped the ball off to them in space today they were tackled at FIRST FREAKING CONTACT. I watch a lot of NFL and our RB's almost never make something out of nothing. For example, on the 1st & goal at the Jaguars four yard line, the O line whiffs and Moss compounds the matter by instead of hitting up between the tackles for a yard or two tries to run outside and is nailed for a 3yard loss. Now it's 2nd & goal from the 7! Just awful.
  7. It's hard to elevate the dead.
  8. And so far this season I can't think of a single sack of Allen that was "unnecessary".
  9. Yea but that shirt Diggs is wearing?
  10. Drew Lock from Denver was being reported as testing positive and missing today's game. I heard the report on the Sirius NFL channel at 8:45 am.
  11. Judas Priest, that sky looks like a November Orchard Park sky!
  12. White looked okay. The TD was a blown coverage but he did make a couple of nice throws on that drive. On the first drive he should have been intercepted.
  13. Allen is a little bit boring which is exactly what we want here.
  14. How many times during the great 20 year drought did a Bills team flash some life in the first half of a season only to lose a game like yesterday and then go on a 3 game losing streak ending the season early and triggering draft talk for the next season? You would have a 4 - 3 Bills team host a team they should beat, everyone would be sky high and Rich Stadium would be rocking. The Bills would get off to a slow start and be tied 3 - 3 half way through the 3rd quarter and then the wheels would come off - a big INT, the D gives up a huge play and in the end the Bills lose 17 - 6. Yesterday we saw what a serious Super Bowl contender with a franchise QB does in a similar situation - outscore the team they should beat 23 - 8 in the last 20 minutes of the game and walk away with the W.
  15. It's automatic at that point in the game and with that score. In theory, if the Bills get the 2 it becomes a 3 score game and the Bills win. If you kick the EP there is still a very slim chance that the Dolphins score 2 TD's in the last minute and get 2 two point conversions and you're in OT. I've seen stranger things in my life of watching college & NFl football.
  16. Oh please that last score sealed the deal. And don't forget it was a division and conference opponent and point differential might come into play.
  17. It's not about people hating on Murray. He's actually a very good player who is exciting to watch much in the Flutie tradition. And comparing him to Fluties is NOT a putdown. Whether that INT was on Murray or Green or both doesn't change the fact that under the circumstances that was a dangerous throw to make in that situation. The rule of thumb is that if you don't see the guy wide open you put the ball in the cheap seats behind the end zone. Had Allen made an identical throw that was intercepted against the Titans at the end of that game many of the usual suspects on 2BD would be decrying Allen's "hero ball" or "lack of accuracy". So we call Murray out in part to remind these folks that every QB does stuff like this.
  18. Maybe. But watching Murry play he just throws the ball up. A 50/50 ball like that is dangerous in that situation at the end of the game. Bottom line is that Murry throws a ball up with a DB in the hip pocket of the WR.
  19. I don't think that was on Green. Murry just throws the ball up if he's under pressure. My guess is that the pass was going to the other side and Green was just running a diversionary route.
  20. They also know that the running game is not a Bills strength either. You only "invite the run" in the Red Zone when you don't fear a teams running backs.
  21. "Just gets a finger on it"? He knocked the ball back towards Winston - some finger!
  22. Maybe the left side of the Bills line should take some tips on how to block the sneak from NO. Maybe the left side of the Bills line should take some tips on how to block the sneak from NO.
  23. Memo to NFL officiating crews: when you blow an illegal motion penalty on 4th & 1 wait at least a couple of plays before calling a make up holding penalty.
  24. Most folks would agree with this. What this thread starter has thrown out there is an interesting observation. This is the first time Mahomes has faced real adversity as the QB of the Chiefs. I think he'll respond just fine and by the end of the season he'll be back among the top 5 QB's in the NFL. But it is a fair observation especially considering that some Bills fans over the last 6 weeks on 2BD have speculated that Allen: * has regressed and last year was just a mirrage * can't play in "big" games * can't play in front of big crowds. So if we have to listen to that sort of dribble speculating on what the future holds for Mahomes is certainly warranted.
  25. I don't agree with this at all. Allen isn't playing well? Really? Some folks watch Allen through a magnifying glass noting every little thing he does wrong. Then they apparently watch the rest of the NFL through a curtain not seeing that EVERY QB misses open throws; that EVERY QB doesn't see open receivers and that over the course of a game EVERY QB makes plays that contribute to both winning & losing a game.
