  1. You’re technically right—I was thinking more of the season ending/soul crushing variety of games, but point taken.
  2. We are to Miami what KC’s been for us 🥲. Here’s hoping we smack ‘em both this season.
  3. I don’t think the issue is will he or won’t he still be decent in a few years, rather, will he still be the best at his position/untouchable speed? That’s the bet I wouldn’t want to take as Miami imho, but whatevs. With or without him Allen still owns the Phish. 🤷‍♂️
  4. I see you’re rolling “tiger style”🤔😎
  5. As a former QB bench warmer at the D3 level, I can share that our position coaching staff made it crystal clear that any fumbles/botched snaps (or bad hand off exchanges between RB’s and QB for that matter) were ALWAYS the QB’s fault—even when we all knew they were not. 🤣. But that’s how it would be “scored” in the books, fwiw.
  6. Apologies if already referenced upthread, but how’s Bass been kicking today?
  7. The reason I mentioned that episode is because I feel like we still haven’t gotten a clear answer for the autopsy of what went into it, fwiw. That’s the type of game where any of its participants would include it if writing a memoir imho.
  8. Maybe there’s an actual memoir out there on your list, or it’s never been written—but either way, which one would be a must-read? OP’s initial suggestions (I’m excluding Kelly’s since I already read that one a few times over 🤷‍♂️): -Dan Marino (so I could revel in constant defeat at Buffalo’s hands); -Antonio Brown (everyone likes gawking at car crashes and his stories would have to be epic); -Josh Allen…Duh! -Hue Jackson (how did he manage to swindle/hang on to his tenures so long?) -Dick Jauron (morbid curiosity to see how he would explain punting as an offensive weapon no matter the field position) Eventually getting the behind the scenes story on 13 seconds would be possible? But who is the most likely to accurately dish that disaster? 😳 Some of the 60’s-80’s players would also no doubt discuss ‘roids and bounties galore…the options here are endless!
  9. Can you imagine what Kyle Orton’s bag would look like these days for the drought era Bills? 🤣🤣
  10. We should add a clause to his K that states it will be torn up and re-done after every other QB signs a deal, to ensure he remains #1 in perpetuity…Terry, time to start fracking again!!! 🤩💰
  11. Just my opinion of course, but I feel like the QB pay scale is utterly divorced from reality on the field, which is obvious when there is almost no correlation to what the actual best QB’s are making—the only litmus test appears to be “what did the last deal look like so we have to beat that.” Will that model remain sustainable over time, and second, how does this not impact the value of striking long term deals where player dissatisfaction almost guarantees such K’s will never be played out to the end? 🤷‍♂️.
  12. we actually don’t know what happened behind closed doors—Allen very well may have let his feelings be known quite plainly away from prying 👀 🤷‍♂️.
  13. Next man (err, coach) up! Unfortunately an OC’s success virtual guarantees a departure, understandably.
  14. Hopefully not behind a paywall if you use up your one free WP article: https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2024/07/23/nfl-18-game-schedule-nflpa/ Basically this discusses movement on what was referenced back in April, that the 18 game season is no longer a mere hypothetical, but the sides are actively exploring pathways to make this a reality, perhaps even before the current CBA expires in 2030, although that would require an amendment as current rules prohibit 18 games. Says meetings will be held with players to discuss what the NFLPA will be seeking in return from the League—surely a second bye week would be a must??
  15. This list only needs to have Allen at #1, and repeat 99 more times. Next question!
  16. Tasker was just such a complete football player. He also brought a passion and guts that helped make up for any size deficiency—and you’re right, even in the swan song of his career showed that the Bills could’ve utilized him in multiple game phases much earlier. A real joy to watch play.
  17. In turn I have to credit one of my firm’s partners with that phrase, who used it to describe the Georgia Bulldogs’ cupcake non conference schedule a few years back…🤣
  18. I only remember that particular stretch so vividly because I was watching the Steeler game at a friend's house who was giving me so much grief about how Greg Lloyd would chew up Reich and the rest of the Bills O, and, well...it was Neil O Donnell who ended up getting the turf in his face all day, ha ha!!
