  1. The driving is insane in the cities. NYC driving doesn’t compare. Love when the scooters roll through to the front of traffic waiting for the green light. Sometimes 50-60 scooters charging like the green flag was dropped at Indy. Obesity in Italy is near non existent from what I saw. We were averaging 7-8 miles a day walking. Ate like a king for 18 days, lost 5 lbs. I’d go back to Rome and Amalfi Coast as fast as Jeannie could get me there. We missed our train going to Rome from Florence. Total panic! We are screwed! I’m thinking it’s like missing a flight. Go to the ticket office thinking there’s no other train, we lost the cost of the tickets, which wasn’t a whole lot, but this is a disaster. She goes, well it’s $12 Euros each to catch the next one in about 45 minutes. Whew! Trains there are great.
  2. I’m not that brave. That, and it’s just easier, cheaper and quicker going by train and bus around Italy. We went from Venice to Florence to Rome and Naples on bullet trains. Our trip to Siena was by bus out of Florence, a little over an hour away. We hired a service out of Naples to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast, took 1 1/2 hrs. and it wasn’t expensive either. They got it down pretty good getting people around, but again it has much to do with the size of Italy.
  3. The smartest and most important being their bean counters. Player safety? Sure they care about that, but it won’t get in the way of the bottom line. A drop of quality of the product and player injury risk is a chance they’re willing to take for the sake of a buck…..a very big buck. Players won’t balk too much for the same reason.
  4. Yeah, it’s a narrow window of opportunity for reliving an old time Xmas tradition, but like what a Hallmark movie aims to do, felt all warm and fuzzy like a kid around Xmas. Crowded parking lots. Lines at registers, cashiers pleasant. People with bags full, happy smiling families. Salvation Army folks ringing bells. Wasn’t planning on going there, so glad we did and going back next week.
  5. Only two? Was at the Walden Galleria today, place was bustling. It seemed a third there had something Bills on. By the way, the Mall is as alive as it was going back at least a decade ago. I wrongly said a year ago the place was going down. There’s very few empty stores. Lots of variety, new businesses of all kind, a Kid zone that was huge with things kids would love, like a ceiling zip line. The food court was full, lots of food options. Great sales too. Had tried control myself, though I bought a $20 Dubai chocolate bar from their shop. It would have made a great Xmas mall scene for the movie.
  6. Trained around Italy last month. Quick, cheap, comfortable, clean and conveniences. A bit of an eye opener. But that Italy is so small comparatively, it be impossible to have that kind of efficiency and cost here.
  7. Brady seemingly did that instinctively. Had to infuriate defenses, get in their head, like c’mon, that’s BS.
  8. To follow with another missing(crass?) point, that attire is all some fit into comfortably, particularly in crammed seating. I knew that feeling 60lbs. ago. It won’t fly with many.
  9. …..it’s becoming more and more an antiquated notion.
  10. First off, they’re denying me my 1st Amendment right. Second of all, nothing shows class more than having the F-bomb emblazoned on a shirt or hat for all to witness.
  11. Big time college football exhibition/charity games use to be limited to the first couple weeks. Always viewed this time of the season as being for conference games that mattered, not friendly cakewalks.
  12. Reminded me of growing up, older kids be on one team against younger kids. Once the romp was on they’d ease up. That’s how bad the Bills were.
  13. A chance at redemption? Charlotte 49ers(1-9) vs #4 Georgia Bulldogs-43.5. Seeing more of the late season “Cinderella opportunities”. I know these schools cash in big, but, I don’t know….it’s absurd.
  14. Kind of where I was going. The NFL boasts how it uses tools/technology to preserve the integrity, competitiveness, fairness and quality of the on field product. Yet, has no backup plan for the very vital on field officials should they be incapacitated during regular season games.
  15. Get rid of TNF…..ain’t happening I know.
  16. Though it’s a rarity an official goes down, it appears the NFL has no backup plan, beyond what we saw, in these situations. I’m guessing that’s not the case in the playoffs. 🤷‍♂️
  17. 🎶Buffalo Joe won’t you come play today🎶
  18. So they’ll need a bear witness.
  19. No different than acknowledging the opponent after the game, but apparently in some sort of fashion many expect Dawkins should still be wanting to throw down…..macho crap. Have I ever stepped into the ring. When I was about 12 we made a wrestling ring(professional) on our front lawn. So, yes.
  20. UFC fighters hug after the fight. WTF is that sh!t?
  21. Ripping him for not playing to the whistle throughout the game I get. What he does after the final whistle is irrelevant and I highly doubt he’s yucking it up in the locker room.
  22. Too much friendship on the team? Too kind to the opponent post game? That’s precious. Bring back the “Bickerin’ Bills”. 🤪
  23. Haven’t seen a defense do that to an Allen led offense in…..ever? Throw in Dawkins was not up to the challenge and Brown playing with one arm and we got a view of something not seen in quite some time. But it was there for the taking at the end. Not saying to dismiss the Bills performance but it was a bit of an anomaly last night.
  24. If Wildcard is what it takes to be in the playoffs, that fine by me.
