Neighbor’s kid went into the Electricians local a few years back, they kinda streamlined him to Journeyman. Same thing there, kids don’t want to put the time in and pay their dues. You mentioned “very fine higher education” my kids law firm is experiencing some of the same issues with the generation coming up. They target and hire top/elite University graduates and so many balk at the work and salary.

My kid is in Local 210, they’re begging for people. It’s hard work and the (future)bunch coming up don’t want to. Contractors been hiring green cards to fill the void. I hear that’s the case with a few of the local trades.

To add, Murray’s clearly displayed disgust about losing out on McDavid, I think, kind of was a bit offensive/disrespectful towards Eichel….not that that explains the Eichel drama, but I’d be like wtf? It also isn’t an excuse for Murray’s sitting across the street at the bars during the day.

Adding no name Hartenstein put OKC over the top. He’s why they didn’t miss a beat while Holmgren was out for half the season. The Thunder in a sense revived the long dismissed old school twin towers approach. That and a suffocating ‘D’ looks insurmountable to me.
