  1. Wonder how that’d work if I were going to Ireland?
  2. I’m trying to make plans to go to Italy, wonder if this will get me a cheaper or more expensive deal?
  3. I’m thinking Alabama Slammer meets Screwdrivers. People still order those drinks?
  4. That was the best place to see a show. Seemed like there was no security, of course so did the Aud. I saw quite a few bands there that not long after were playing and selling out the big arenas.
  5. Like I mentioned Cheap Trick wasn’t considered “cool” by most in my group. First I heard ‘In Color’ was at my friends house where we parked for Bills games. His older brothers were biker types and always there with their pals, they apparently liked the album since they played it every game. The irony being Zander and Petersson on the album cover are sitting on Harleys, so maybe that was why they liked them? Being younger we didn’t say they weren’t cool, for obvious reasons. But that was when I started liking them.
  6. Gotta go with the Chiefs one, it’s got that Sheldon Cooper ‘The Flash’ vibe.
  7. Since some have spoke of championships, basketball and Buffalo, here’s a bit of an odd fun fact: The Los Angeles Clippers are the longest running North American franchise to have never played in a championship game. Where’s the Buffalo connection you ask??? Anyone want to take a shot? (I hope I got this right)
  8. Well, maybe he just thought she was open to reenact some of the lyrics of ‘Run to the Hills’ with him…. ….. this is where I slink off in shame.
  9. That’s a great story, I can see Bun E Carlos sitting, eating at McD’s. Never saw them. They didn’t catch on with my circle back then, I think it had to do with Rick Nielsen and Bun E’s look, but, I too listened to that album a lot.
  10. Midnight Hammer? Didn’t the open for Iron Maiden on their European tour in ‘82?
  11. Cars 1st album, Cheap Trick’s ‘Heaven Tonight’ and Police ‘Zenyatta Mondatta…..they were their best albums imo.
  12. Couldn’t get through it, started getting a headache. I’ll just take your word for it.
  13. I think playing sets of the best stuff from bands that have similar styles would draw a wider crowd. 1st set: all Cars 2nd set: all Cheap Trick 3rd set: all Police A killer combo be 1st set: all Depeche Mode 2nd set: all Bowie ……if you need a spoon player or wax paper comb musician, my cousin Virgil Lee Henry is the best. Let me know.
  14. The one that started zombifying movie fans? …..maybe not, but one of the best and original.
  15. That’s cool, hometown boy makes good. Trying to tread lightly here, but the country exposed itself with the efforts/success to keep Adam Lambert from rightfully winning. Kid was a treat to watch, again, best performer on that show imo. Got to add, he did his best, just couldn’t buy into him fronting Queen. Glad the kid cashed in on his talent, though.
  16. Makes me think of going to the drive-in. A source for a trifecta of entertainment in my life with family, then my obnoxious teen friends, then dates & girlfriends. Also remember being at a multi screen drive-in with my parents and my brother and I getting caught by Dad trying to peek at the r-rated movies on another screen hoping to see ‘boobies’.
  17. Will Paulina Porizkova be there?
  18. If a bicycle has a motor, electric or gas, it is a motorcycle.
  19. Padres and Dodgers had a bit of a plunkathon series, Ohtani twice intentionally. But he prevented a repeat of another bench clearing like the one a half inning earlier. …..the announcers gushed like he was Moses parting the Red Sea.
  20. Wonder if it’s too late to write some nasty e-mails to ‘the man’ I’ve been holding off on and blame the breach?
  21. Thank me, I resorted to putting on my Yankee attire for the 1st time since the opener.
  22. I’m the only one who initially thought this?
