Bills have 16th Best Roster?
RocCityRoller replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are 100% correct in my book. This year could be 6-10 or 10-6. Who knows? I think Vegas is very confused by the Bills like we all are. Edmunds, Allen and Phillips could all be studs or duds. All are positions of need, which makes things interesting. It's not all doom and gloom, and next year's F/A and draft should cement the Bills as a long time playoff team if even one of the three above pan out. The OL turnover was a shock to all, but I think the Bills added a bunch of JAG NFL level talent, which given the salary cap and weak class was a strong reaction. It also meant the OL will have to be addressed sooner than later, which actually helps AJ and Allen in the long term. I think a lot of us Bill fans are ok either way. We see change happening and in a well planned way overall. Last year was the beginning of a major tear down and rebuild. The Bills have refused a tear down and rebuild since 1985, it was long past due. The fact that a rookie HC, and a GM added after last years draft managed to tear down a team, built a new locker room atmosphere and broke a 17 yr playoff drought in one year means something. We have a very special HC IMO. I think this may be the best HC and GM combo Buffalo has ever had. -
Great Fairburn story on Siran Neal

IMO Neal could be the steal of the draft. It depends on McDermott scheming him in properly. while i appreciate your position, I think your delivery is lacking. Stop being an !@#$. -

Yep, only 35 or so minutes south. Was arrested before the body was even found.... I guess a life of crime is harder than GTA would make one believe. From Syracuse.com https://www.syracuse.com/sports/index.ssf/2018/06/ny_giants_janoris_jenkins_brother_arrested.html The brother of Janoris Jenkins has been arrested in Upstate New York and named a "person of interest" in the case of a dead body found at the New York Giants star's home, according to reports. Law enforcement officials tell TMZ Sports that William Jenkins, 34, was booked at the Ontario County Jail in Canandaigua early Tuesday morning, roughly nine hours before a family friend was found dead in Janoris Jenkins' home in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. Ontario County D.A. James Ritts told the sports site that William is a "person of interest" in the N.J. case. "Bergen County wants to talk to him," Ritts said. According to the New York Post, William Jenkins was arrested for an unrelated parole warrant issue. He is not a suspect in the N.J. death of Roosevelt Rene, a 25-year-old music producer who died in "highly suspicious circumstances" at Jenkins' N.J. home. The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday that Rene had been living at Jenkins' home recently. Jenkins is believed to have been at his offseason home in Florida when he died; Jenkins had wrapped the NFL team's minicamp earlier this month. TMZ Sports reports William Jenkins is still in custody and will be extradited 300 miles from Ontario County to Bergen County in N.J. Details of Rene's death have not been disclosed, but the case is being treated as a homicide. A post-mortem exam is scheduled at the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. "We are aware of and monitoring the situation," a spokesperson from the Giants said. Jenkins, is a 29-year-old cornerback who spent the last two seasons with the New York Giants; he was selected for the Pro Bowl in 2016. He previously played by the Los Angeles Rams after being selected in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of the University of North Alabama. "We're just all very upset. We don't know anything right now," a neighbor told The Record in Hackensack, N.J. "He's a good guy. He's a perfect neighbor and you couldn't ask for anyone better... It was exciting having him here. We're respectful of his privacy." Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said in a statement that the Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and the Fair Lawn Police Department are investigating.

Chris Ivory's Role In The Running Game?

Miss Kenny Davis, the old Texas Tornado was a super #2 RB -
Afford? No, reasonable expectation, probably. Given all the changed I'd think even adding a stud to OL, that the unit would need a while to meld. Time will tell. This is another reason why I see AJM starting the first half of the season.

Isn't he a converted Safety? His successes last year may have made Buffalo give Siran Neal a similar opportunity in the same scheme. I do recommend considering the source of the article. Very Buffalo biased (in a good way), I take this and Buffalo Rumblings etc with a grain of salt. But yes Milano was a pleasant surprise. Still believe the Bills are trying to fix the D methodially level by level. DBs year one, DL year 2, LBs year 3. Backfill losses and improve through complimentary players yrs 4+. That said the LB group has a lot to prove.

Chris Ivory's Role In The Running Game?
RocCityRoller replied to OldTimeAFLGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ditto to you. Always enjoy your posts. I do think the scheme adjustment, new faces on OL etc will take 6-8 games to gel, but I think once that happens the OL will be better than anticipated given the turnover, and Shady and Ivory will be productive. Not counting out Cadet and Murphy as contributors though. -

Mock Draft Has Bills Selecting At #1.....
RocCityRoller replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll wait to see how the Bills actually finish and how all of these prospects play out this year. I still think LB/ OL or WR will be our first round pick next year. #1 seems ridiculous, I could see 5-11 or 6-10 a real possibility due to all the changes on the offensive side of the ball, but this Defense should be top 10 in most defensive rankings. A stout defense and Shady and the other RBs should eke out 5-7 wins IMO. If 5-7 wins puts you at #1 overall I'll take it in rebuild year #2. -
Buffalo 66 is twenty years old this week
RocCityRoller replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I saw it a couple of years after it came out, really enjoyed it. I was in Philadelphia when i caught it and was really homesick for anything WNY related. -
That's what I thought, but wanted to cover the bases. Todd carved out a solid career as a backup and had a few moments late in his career.
-
Too early to rate with an entire Offensive scheme change and 2-3 new potential starting QBs. I have stated that I think the O-line will be more solid than anticipated by some of the doom and gloom posters, but there will be a learning curve and some shake out. My guess is the O-Line will start a bit shaky but gel around mid-season.

Chris Ivory's Role In The Running Game?
RocCityRoller replied to OldTimeAFLGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the O-line was still intact, I would agree. With all of it in flux and unknown, and the Daboll run scheme largely untested I am holding my breath. Ingram and Ivory have been two RBs I always enjoy watching run, because they run with a bit of nasty. Just not sure what Chris Ivory we are getting, and how the O-Line, scheme etc will meld. IMO it is a good risk for both parties. It should also be known Ivory has had a bit of a fumble history. His ball security is my primary concern. -
^ Todd Collins or Frank Reich? I thought there were times Jim Kelly should have taken a week or two more to recover from injury since the team always seemed to rally around Frank Reich I thought JP Losman had what it took to be a very good, not great, QB I believe Chan Gailey was the best HC the team had between Marv and McDermott On that topic Marv was tremendous at managing ego's and a good motivational one liner at times, was but was not a great Xs and Os coach I thought we got two defensive steals in the 2010 draft with Carrington and Moats. I bought into the Darrick Rogers (WR) pre-season hype Butch Byrd belongs on the Wall of Fame
