  2. Two years left on his deal. Get him for those two years - we have the cap room. If he is healthy then our OL is significantly better for the next two years. He can mentor Cody Ford w the Okie connection.
  3. Multiple sources have reported they were not drafting a WR period. Did not see it as a big priority and like the group they have. Its hard to argue this group has made good decisions on the offensive side of the ball. The way QB has been handled for two years has been bad. From Tyrod to putting in Peterman. To then Starting Peterman again and having no back up plan. The OL has been a mess. Going forward its all about Allen and helping him succeed. If Allen regresses this year then this FO could be in trouble.
  4. On that 2015 roster guys recently drafted by Bills that are NFL starter quality. Offense Watkins Woods Glenn Henderson Wood Miller Goodwin Def Dareus Brown Bradham Darby Gilmore Brooks McKelvin A Williams
  5. True to some extent. However, there is a big difference between good starter and starter. Many drafted guys start because teams suck at that position. That is much different than drafting a long term starter.
  6. When has Tyree ever played RB, WR or TE? The guy didnt even get drafted at QB which was the position he did play. Now he is going to be NFL caliber at multiple positions?
  7. Your answer has some truth. But dont use Gronk as the example. Gronk is nothing like a Lee Smith. The modern NFL is moving towards Gronk types and away from Lee Smith types.
  8. FYI With Lee Smith the Raiders were ranked in the bottom of the league in rushing. 2018 - 25th 2017 - 25th 2015 - 28th Funny enough, he only played in 4 games in 2016 and they finished 6th that year. His last year with the Bills in 2014 they were 25th. After he left the next year they were #1. I only say this to temper the this is how we become a top 5 rushing team.
  9. I would call this an honest assessment. Yes, we signed a bunch of guys. But nearly all not top tier or even multi year building blocks except for maybe Morse. The rest nobody around the league would be shocked if they were cut before the season or after a year. Some will say Beasley and Brown, but guys like them are on the market all the time. They are all the rotating chairs type of talent.
  10. This. In the current year people express concerns and its called being negative or clueless. While the year before was obviously horrible and this year is so much better. But if you go back and look it was the same rhetoric about how they know what they are doing and its part of the plan, etc.
  11. This could also signal concerns about Krofty health. In reality what TE does this team really have if Kroft is not healthy? Croom and a couple rookies...
  12. Says "front loaded" "guaranteed into year 2". on a 3 year and $9M that makes it sounds as if at least $3-$6M+ is guaranteed...
  13. I would say right below those guys - 50 rec and 500-600 yds. A guy gets hurt and it all changes obviously.
  14. Zay does not get cut. He is more likely to be the top WR target next year. This team has no #1 WR its a bunch of 2's and 3's or slots. I see Zay being a primary target. Beasley catches a lot of underneath balls so hard to say how that will fit in. Brown will get less rec but expect more big plays and could be leading WR in yds. My prediction: Zay: 70 rec, 800 yds, 7 td's Brown: 50 rec, 900 yds, 5 td's Beasley: 45 rec, 550 yds, 5 td's Last three seasons: Zay: 83 Rec, 968 yds, 9 td's, 0 100 yd games, 2 multi td games, 4 5+ rec games Brown: 63 rec, 1014 yds, 8 td's, 2 100 yd games, 0 multi td games, 1 5+ rec games Beasley: 101 rec, 986 yds, 7 td's, 1 100 yd games, 3 multi td games, 4 5+ rec games
  15. No...the issue people will have is comments like get it done beane, times are changing and other attempts to make this a story of greatness. Every 1st rounder will sign and it will be along a salary slot. Nothing to see here.
  16. Here is the deal. The entire WR crew is essentially Zay. You could argue that any of them being cut based on how good each is compare to others. However, logic says 1) Zay was drafted in the 2nd round so Bills likely not giving up yet 2) Beasley and Brown were just signed so likely sticking around 3) Everyone else is up for grabs.
  17. Agreed - fans need to accept him for what he is and hope the coaches do so as well. Let him play to his strengths and coach him to make better decisions.
  18. For the right money who cares? One year deal and hope he stays healthy and can at least be a situational pass rusher.
  19. What people fail to realize or maybe choose to ignore is the impact timing, accuracy, ball placement and decision making have on drops. Its not one directional - drops only decrease completion % thus accuracy. You throw a better football in the right places and you will have less drops. You throw the underneath or the check down instead of throwing downfield when he is not open. Yes, better WR's can help bail out a less accurate QB. But lets stop making excuses. Prior to the draft he was considered inaccurate. After playing his first season he proved to be inaccurate. That is on him, not on the drops. He can make improvements in both accuracy and in decision making that can and should greatly help his accuracy.
  20. Thats how this board always rolls. We dont need Antonio Brown....we picked up Duke Williams and look at what Foster did last year. Its hilarious. We set the bar so low as fans. McCoy may be done finally but every year we hear how we dont need him bc a guy like Marcus Murphy or Gillislee or Karlos Williams.
  21. I agree for the most part. But if you have a guy that tested poorly but played well in a legit conference that is different than the guy in a bad conference. This is the NFL. Those small differences in speed or athletic ability can be the difference in getting through the hole, batting the ball away, making the contested catch. Those lack of athletics play much less of a role against inferior competition. Common sense right? Put some guy that would not make the team at Bama and he could run for 2000 yds and 50td's against low level competition.
  22. From a fan perspective. Not the players. Just this idea that a guy that previously was not good enough to be on an NFL roster is being touted as almost a sure thing. Like Rogers, Duke is more likely to not make the team than he is to be the #1 WR.
  23. The Duke hype reminds me of DaRick Rogers. Not sure how many of you remember. There have been others as well. The obsession with the random guys out there that are better than everyone else on our roster...
