Yes technically drops are what meet a definition. My point is a guy that you know where the ball is going to be consistently vs a guy that does not have that quality yet; the pass catchers will tend to have more drops of easy balls with a guy that has less consistent placement. Think about it - you stand there and catch the ball 100 times with every pass being right between the numbers every time. Stand there for 100 passes and some are to the left, right, high, low. Which round of 100 do you drop more? They are all technically the same drops...

Drops are impacted by QB accuracy. A QB with consistent ball placement will have less drops. I also think when you throw darts like JA does he will always have a slightly higher drop rate.

Yes many positives. Cant ignore how the defense has impacted all of that as well. I am not a fan of giving QB's credit for every rushing TD as a lot of that is playing calling or personnel related thus QB should not get full credit. Allen has been a good game manager since some rocky high turnover games. We are winning with him not because of him at this point given our defense. I am tired of the agendas to either say how great he is or how terrible he is. Why is so hard to accept he is really somewhere in the middle right now? He has lots of development ahead of him still and that is ok. Luckily we have a great defense and can win with the current JA. As history shows defenses are hard to sustain and we will need more of JA in the future.

Stevie was drafted by the Bills and played in 11 games as a rookie. He was hurt much of 2009 and then won the starting job in 2010. He was working hard to earn to earn his spot and become the player he did. He didnt start high school football until his Jr year. Went to JUCO and then Kentucky. It was not a matter of just throw him in there more and he would have produced more from day 1 because he was some hyped guy. He earned it with hard work and dedication to become good enough.. Duke is a completely different story. All hype and expectations. He has arrived already and is not getting a chance.

Gore is the short yardage back that wont fumble. He should be used only in those situations. Kroft more - not in place of Know. But in two TE sets. No McK over Beasley. No Duke. If week 17 is meaningless he will start and catch 15 passes for 265 yards and 3 TD's. Then we get a million post saying why is he not playing, start him in the playoffs, etc. Ford - Plays unless Nsehke is healthy to go.

Well 4 of the 6 playoff spots have been clinched. But still lots of moving parts in the seeding. Bills most likely locked at the #5 spot but win out and potentially move into a #1 or #2 seed. Fun last couple weeks ahead of us. Tonight IND vs NO: Indy loss and they are done. Win and have a chance. Next week BUF vs NE: Pats need these or risk losing 1 or 2 seed. Bills win would also need Pats loss to MIA to win division. Win keeps that hope alive but more it would be a confidence and statement game to put the beat down on them. TEN vs. NO: TEN needs it or division goes to HOU regardless of week 17 match up with HOU. HOU vs. TB: Dont overlook the Bucs here. PIT vs. NYJ: Pitt loss here and they could be in trouble. BAL vs CLE: Balt win locks up #1 seed. CLE still technically alive. KC vs CHI: Big implication on seeding. IND vs. CAR: Could be meaningful if IND beats NO tonight. No need to defend Ford. He is a rookie and this is expected; I am all for developing him. This is about winning in the playoffs. If you watch the film Ford is the weak link in this OL. It may not always be a sack but he allows too many QB pressures, batted balls by DL, etc. I know he struggled vs BALT and will need to review the PITT game but initial thought was he struggled.

Playoff spot clinched. How do we win a playoff game? For starters I think we need Nsekhe back. How many times a game do we see Ford just get beat. If I am an opposing D I am attacking the Bills via Ford all game long. This along would help the Bill O tremendously. Next on my list is Kroft. Hopefully that TD catch gets him going a bit. Having the option of two TE's depending on match ups could be huge. If we are playing Houston watch the Balt game. They threw for 235 yds with half going to TE's and another big chunk going to RB's. Broncos beat them with huge game from Fant. Defense there is not much to complain. Would like to see Edmunds blitz more often as he seems to have a lot of success coming through the middle and disturbing plays. Blitz Edmunds and have a DL drop back.

I agree with the B. Stats may look like a C but watch the game and you see something different. Would love to have seen the Bills come out and thrash the Steelers but that is not realistic as the Steelers D came to play. Josh did just enough to won. No glaring mistakes other than holding the ball too long occasionally. JA put up a Duck Hodges game of the past three weeks and a victory. Good for the team but not flashing for the QB.
