  1. As we saw in SF - having a stable with fresh legs and flexible based on your opponent can be a huge asset.
  2. Lots of chatter on Gordon to Buffalo on a one year prove it deal. With Gurley released it only should drive the price for Gordon down.
  3. Last year in playoffs Diggs caught 2 for 19 on 3 targets in one game and 2 for 57 on 4 targets in the other. Just keeping the conversation honest.
  4. Last several super bowl teams. Most common configuration I see is strong TE and strong #1 or balanced #1 and #2. KC: Hill, Watkins, Robinson or Hill, Kelce SF: Sanders, Samuel, Pettis or Sanders/Samuel. Kittle NE: Edelman, Hogan, Gordon/Dorsett or Edelman, Gronk LAR: Woods, Cooks, Cupp or Cooks/Woods, Higbee NE: Cooks, Amendola, Hogan or Cooks, Gronk PHI: Jeffery, Agholor, Smitth or Jeffery, Ertz NE: Edelman, Amendola, Hogan or Edelman, Gronk/Bennett ATL: Jones, Sanu, Gabriel or Jones, Tamme/Hooper DEN: Thomas, Sanders, Norwood or Thomas, Daniels CAR: Ginn, Funchess, Brown or Ginn, Olsen NE: Edelman, Lafell, Amendola or Edelman, Gronk SEA: Baldwin, Kearse, Richardson or Baldwin, Wilson
  5. Maybe he would be the Jordan Love of this draft.
  6. What is more important: A dominant trio, dominant duo or dominant #1? For me I think having a dominant #1 along with a dominant TE is the way to go. Which is why my off-season would have been: Get Hopkins and sign Hooper. Hopkins, Brown, Beasley, Hooper then you still have Knox as TE2 and draft a big WR. And I know many say we could never have gotten Hopkins from bc HOU would not have traded with us. Still fail to believe they would pass on a 1st rounder and other picks just to keep him from us.
  7. To be fair - we were spending under $8M on Shaq and J Phil combined. We are now spending more than that basically on each player... Would not bank too much on a later 2nd rounder and beyond being a big contributor to next seasons offense...
  8. Well MINN had Diggs, Thielen, Cook, Rudolph, Treadwell and whoever else was in the mix
  9. Big trade and contract for one of the franchise tag guys out there.
  10. Not quite yet. He was barely getting 50% of the snaps last season.
  11. Funny the last teams you listed were ion 2003...that was 17 years ago right? Look at the last 15-20 super bowls and teams score in the 30's in the majority of them. A few random low scoring games but most have been won via offense and featured strong offensive teams.
  12. Butler not too fond of for the price tag. Mata is blah for special teamer.
  13. Clowney may not get you 15 sacks but he potentially adds 15 sacks to the other DL numbers.
  14. Clowney would be the only DL on our team getting double teams.
  15. WR's that could drop to 2nd - Higgins, Shanault WR's that should be there in 3rd - Pittman, Gandy Golden, Claypool
  16. Exactly. Bring him to BUF. I would think he sees this supporting cast and would think he could put up good numbers and play for a good defense setting him up for a big contract somewhere next year.
  17. I agree but do think we need it. Very similar group to last year - good players but lack the guy on the edge teams will worry about. No need to double or provide help for etc. If Clowney is not getting his deal bring him in for a 1yr prove it deal. I would think he looks at the supporting cast on the DL and would think it could set him up nicely for a big season and deal next year.
  18. Still need help on offense. Still need help on edge.
  19. Guess I got last laugh on this one. He was available at the trade deadline but price tag was higher. Still think we could have gotten him if we offered our first back then. Case of egos with Nuk and BOB not getting along.
  20. I am usually on the opposite end of this thing when the Bills dont make the trade. Saying exactly what you said - if we can get player xyz you take that over the unknown draft pick. And I am usually met with - This FO values draft picks, too much talent in the draft, thats not how you build a team, etc etc. I was clamoring at the trade deadline to add a WR or pass rusher. I dont know how many people said we arent giving up a draft pick. I think many of those were specifically talking about Diggs and Hopkins.
  21. Thats what people want and hope for...doesnt mean they are gonna get it. Just like drafting Allen vs signing a Kirk Cousins. You hope Allen will be better than a Cousins but no guarantees.
  22. I would bet big $ that most on this board would be saying "wow, they gave up a ton for Diggs and he is not even a top 10 WR, is a head case and does not fit the process. I am good sticking with Brown, Beasley and Lamb/Jeudy/Riggs".
  23. I think most people are "hoping" the guy picked at #22 or higher if trading up would be better than Diggs. Obviously no certainty but the build up to the draft is about these guys being generational talents etc. Diggs is good but not top 5 WR good which is what Lamb or Jeudy could be.
  24. NFL players dont think or care about money. Its for the love of the game....
  25. Prior to this trade there was a ton of talk about how loaded of a draft this is...
