  1. Rosen would be AMAZING!!!! I'd be happy for a million reasons!! All I am going to do today is hope for that!! If we draft Allen, I'll be happy about that too. Glad we won't have to wait much longer!
  2. Wow!! Very surprised to read this! Not saying that these tweets are false, but they do make sense. First, the fact that the Bills have so many ties to Allen might be an attempt to hide the fact that they covet Darnold, Rosen, and Mayfield. Also, his other tweet about 3 seperate deals is plausible b/c if Darnold goes number 1, then we're on to plan B for Rosen, then if Rosen is gone, were on to plan C for Mayfield. If all 3 are gone, then we probably stay at 12 and draft Allen. I don't hate the idea of Allen by any means, and IMO, he's got the most potential of any of these big 4 QB's, but he's a guy you probably have to wait at least 1 year to watch. Whereas Rosen, Mayfield, or Darnold, could win the starting job in week 1, and that would be awesome to see a rookie start this year.
  3. I'd be disappointed, but after that, I'd be happy to have Allen on our team.
  4. I know, that I know nothing!! I do however know that tomorrow night is upon us!! Amen!!
  5. I don't fear Josh Allen at all. He is polarizing! I think many people, have wrote alot of negative stuff about Allen, and TBH, some of this discussion is valid and does make the reader pause & reflect. Allen is NOT at all, a perfect prospect, but none of this "big 4" is. Mayfield is small & has a flamible personality, Rosen has durability issues, Darnold is a bit raw & makes poor decisions with the football especially in the red zone, and Allen is innaccurate & his stats are not eye popping. Not only will I not be fearful, but I am hopeful for this kid. I know the odds, and I know we may pass up Rosen or another good QB that I like but I trust Beane, McDermott, and also know that this kid could be really, really good for a long time. There's alot to like and I will be Allen's biggest fan.
  6. Most def a future 30 for 30 episode will be made based on this draft.
  7. I don't doubt Arizona's want or need to move up to #5, but if they did move up, I would be VERY surprised if they didn't pick Josh Allen. I have read & heard that they have been in love with Allen for 2 years now.
  8. Here's a pipe dream, but.... We are able to catch Rosen on a slide to 6 or 7, which is very possible. Then we keep 22, draft DJ Moore, then move up to the end of round 1 and take Raashan Evans Bang, 3 solid starters, plus the most pro ready QB in the draft
  9. Here is mine, and would love to see y'alls as well! Note: This is what I think will happen, not necessarily what I want to happen. Draft Trade!!! We trade with Denver. We give up 12, 22, and 96 (= 2096 value points). We get #5 from Denver (= 1700 value points). We overpay by 24%, which I think we will have to overpay b/c of the demand for QB's. I think this deal is legit, and gets it done, but if need be, we give up 65, which then is 2245 value points, and an overpay of 32%. Final verdict: Bills get: #5 overall Denver gets: #12, #22, and #96 Top 5 draft prediction: 1. Cleveland- Sam Darnold or Josh Allen, but b/c I have to choose one, I think its Darnold. 2. NY Giants- Saquan Barkley 3. NY Jets- Baker Mayfield 4. Cleveland- Bradley Chubb 5. Buffalo- Josh Allen. If Allen, goes #1, then I think we take Rosen I know I'm going to get hit w/ some crap b/c Allen isn't a popular pick, but IMHO, I think he has a very legit chance at being a really good NFL QB. I know his stats aren't good, and his completition percentage (or lack there of) is a major concern. At the end of the day, I think our coaching staff will do a really good job handling/developing him, and I also think Allen will do everything he needs to do to be successful in the NFL. I firmly believe that with time, development, and having good skill around him (compared to Wyoming) will really make him shine; just like he did at the Senior Bowl. Rest of our draft... #53- OT Tyrell Crosby #56- we go WR, and its down to Sutton if he's there, but if not, and this is my prediction, WR Anthony Miller #65- CB Donte Jackson #121- DT Tim Settle #166- RB Kalen Ballage #187- OG Tony Adams Hope you enjoy!! Only 6 more days!!! Last but not least,.... Go Bills!!!!!!!!!!
  10. He's not my first or second choice, but I trust our decision makers, and although stats are something to base opinions on, they don't necessarily make someone a good or bad prospect. I think Allen has alot of intrigue and possibility, and if we draft him, I'll be his biggest fan/supporter! Go Bills!!
  11. I still think Zay can be a really good WR for this team. Especially with a much better QB.
  12. I trust Beane & McDermott. They are smart, thorough, and have devoted alot of time & energy in making this decision. Just like everyone that's a Bills fan, I want to hear Rosen or Mayfield's name called the most, but if not, I'll trust & also be excited about our decision. Also, IMHO, in 5 years, Josh Allen has just as good a shot as Mayfield or Rosen at being a top passer in the NFL. Mayfield and Rosen are pro ready now, whereas Allen probably needs more time/development. I also think Allen is stronger mentally, and that is a big thing being the face of the franchise moving forward.
  13. Please allow me to preface. I was once a firm Josh Allen hater. If you would have asked me in January what I thought of him, I would've told you he's my 7th best QB of this class, and I'd go bat #### crazy if we even thought of drafting him. To that point, I saw his stats, heard the negativity from so many pundits, and only had a little bit to base my own opinion on the matter. I simply went along with the rest and thought the way the rest of the community thought. Here and now, when the draft rumors have picked up, and so many mocks, so many draft analyists, have us connected our team to "loving" Josh Allen, I made it my mission to get to know what I may be missing, so I can firmly say that I have watched Allen throw every pass from the 2016 and 2017 season. I have come away with many different conclusions based upon my research, and thus am very open to the possibility of Allen being the next QB of this beloved franchise. Truthfully, I still prefer the Bills to draft Rosen or Mayfield, but since I am not a professional scout, and am only a really, really huge fan, I definitely think that I may be wrong about my rankings. Below are some reasons that I would be excited if the Bills did infact, draft Josh Allen. (in no order) 1. Captain obvious here, but his rocket arm. Seriously, Allen may have the best arm ever!! He is smooth & explosive, and we often dismiss this as a negative b/c of so many failed prospects who also had the big arm. Its convienent, sometimes, to compare Allen to other guys with big arms, and then draw conclusions based upon past failures, but it certainly doesn't mean anything whatsoever. 2. His improvement. 2016 was a very good year, but in 2017 many would say he took a very dramatic dip. Statistically speaking, he did, but in terms of Wyoming's system, huge lack of offensive playmakers along with a very bad offensive line, I'd say he did well to get that team win 8 games. Also, his Senior Bowl performance was fantastic!! He was accurate, showed very nice touch throws, made good decisions/progressions, and help his team on multiple scoring drives. It was a very good chance to see just a small sample of what Allen could do with actual NFL-caliber playmakers around him. 3. His amazing athleticism. For 6'5 and 240 pounds, he has good speed, terrific power, and can make plays with his feet. He almost looks identical to Wentz in college, but IMHO, he is a better athlete than Wentz was, and that's saying alot b/c Wentz was a darn good playmaker at North Dakota State. What really seperates Allen from past big arm guys like Russel and Boller, is Allen can leave a fractured pocket and if the play isn't there he can run for the first down, and keep the chains moving. He can also be used on RPO's or Read Option type plays around the goal line to punch it in ala Cam Newton. This is a very cool and dangerous part of his game. 4. Josh Allen is a very blue collar kid. Coaches love him, teammates love him, and this is a kid who'll work very, very hard, and be 100% committed to being the best QB & leader for any team that drafts him. He also is a very intelligent young man. I am pretty sure that he had the highest Wonderlic score of any QB tested this year. This may not mean much to some, but I think it adds to him knowing how to dissect & read defenses. 5. Our coaching staff is a very good one, and I think they will do a GREAT job at molding & developing him into a very good passer. Think about this for a sec, could you have taken this roster from last year, and gotten that team to the playoffs?? I coach football, and I would have a hard time taking a roster that, quite honestly, was not that talented (especially offensively) to the playoffs. Not only is McDermott's staff smart, but they are well prepared and are all good teachers of the game, which is IMO, the most important job, in terms of player development. I am very confident that this coaching staff would do a very good job with Allen. I wrote this to try to shed some light on this kid, and hope that anyone who hasn't taken the time to watch Allen, that you'd give him a chance. I think you'll like alot of things that you see. He's a very raw kid, but IMO, he has just as much of a chance to be great as Rosen or Mayfield. I prefer those 2 guys, as you all do too, mainly b/c they are pro ready right now. Whereas Allen may take some time to develop. That is also good b/c if Allen does sit, then we get to see what McCarron can do, which maybe better than what many expect. Lastly, whatever and whomever we choose, I will support our team NO MATTER WHAT!! I will always love the Bills with all my heart, and have a great amount of faith in Beane and McDermott as this team moves forward. Go Bills!!
  14. I don't care what anyone says, I really like McCarron, and I think there is alot to be excited about with him. He's always been an underrated passer IMO, and I am glad to see our team give him an opportunity to play. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he is Jimmy Garrapolo 2.0
  15. Food is either wings or pizza or both Also, lots of beer to calm my nerves
  16. I used to be that Allen hater, but then I watched alot of game film on him. He's raw, and has some definite imperfections, but so do all these qbs. Metz is exactly right about 2016 and 2017 team. They are night and day different, in terms of talent. In 2017, he ran for his life every play, receivers had very little separation, and didn't have hardly any easy throws to make on offense. For any of the haters, watch him thoroughly, then see if you feel the same. I know I was enlightened
  17. I also think our coaching staff would be great at helping Allen become a great QB.
  18. Great, great post!! Very informative and a good read!! If we draft him, I'll be a huge fan and will be excited to see him develop.
  19. Absolutely!! They know how to evaluate football alot better than us.
  20. Most definitely, Josh Allen. Please let me preface my statement by saying a few things. First, I am very much against us drafting him #2. If we're going to trade up, and we move up to #2, we'll have to really, really use an insane amount of draft capital. I'd be very scared if did this with Allen @2. I also would like to state that I am very firmly in draft Mayfield/Rosen club. I have planted my flag on these 2 guys for a while, but I also realize that my knowledge isn't any where near as good as our scouting department, so if they have Allen rated higher, than I will trust their judgement. A few reasons why I wouldn't mind Josh Allen (if we got him around 5-10 picks) is as follows (and in no particular order). We could sit him and see what we have with McCarron and/or Peterman. Allen has maybe the strongest arm, EVER!!! I have faith in our coaching staff that we could develop him I'd love to see what this kid could do with pro-level skill players If he develop as he should, he might be the best QB of this talented 2018 draft class He seems like a very blue-collar kid, and I think the city of Buffalo would fall in love with him, and him with us!
  21. Won't be surprised. I've watched alot of Allen and I think he's raw, but he's got one of the best arm's I've ever seen. If he played in an Uptempo type offense like Oklahoma, he'd be 60% QB and we'd never have this complex
  22. Sorry to start another thread. I won't do it again
  23. Stats in Allen's case are a misnomer for a variety of reasons. He played in a pro-style offense. They never, ever throw quick screens or hardly ever threw the ball to the RB. They usually tried chunk plays of 8-20 yards b/c thats the talent (lack there of ) they had. That being said, if he played in an Oklahoma or any Big 12 offense, that throws alot of easy targets, his completion percentage would be above 60, and we'd never be having this discussion of inaccuracy. He's young and developing. Meaning he's no where near a finished product, and with his talent and work ethic, he could be really, really good He is very athletic, and can be a real good red zone threat with his feet His character, durability, and many other intangibles make him very appealing Add this all up, he's a real intriguing prospect. I'd rather have Mayfield or Rosen, but I'd be very happy with Allen.
