  1. Yes, but the offense is also doing much better over the last 2 games where they have committed to the running game.
  2. I think it's significant that he's had an almost 15% increase in passing yards.
  3. Terrible 3rd down call. Why isn't Beasley running into the gapping hole in the middle of the field?
  4. The Buffalo media for the most part is bush league. Not a press conference has gone by in the last 20 years where some sad man hasn't acted out a lame attempt at psychoanalysis with question after about validation and the assumption of inferiority. The Patriots in particular mine the Buffalo media and have gotten countless Intel on team reads / calls ect. because the dumb ass reporters have demanded players and coaches "prove" their competency with specific examples of in play calls. I feel sorry for McDermott having to stand there day after day dealing with such idiocy. East Germany? McDermott is like the Stasi? Get out of here Sullivan. You are a sad sad man.
  5. Different era, and it doesn't count because my mind is made up... Joe Flacco and Nick Foles have as many rings as Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees.
  6. There seems to be a vocal group of fans that do not believe in the concept of development. They keep saying "you either have it or you don't." There's no guarantee that any QB will develop into a starter/ elite player. But there is a possibility that anyone who finds himself under center in the NFL can grow into starting caliber. There's also at least 6 super bowl winning qb's that had either poor or mediocre years for their first 2-4 seasons who went on to win it all. But the proponents of "you either have it or you don't" trip all over themselves to discount each any every example... I'm willing to give Allen through his 5th season... Eli Manning had a bad 4th year, and then the Giants won it all in his 5th year because they built a championship team around him during that time. Blowing things up ever 3 years is a recipe for a 20 year playoff draught.
  7. It's not an issue of needing an "upgrade" but needing someone as good on the other side. Beasley is good in the slot, but we need a second 1a/1b wr to add another weapon.
  8. I think it's valid to say he should be the #3 coming into the game. I think Daboll is switching out packages too frequently to try and be complicated, when the offense needs consistency.
  9. I'd like to see how often he is getting open and not targeted vs. how often he is not getting open?
  10. There are a few drops that he definitely should have caught. This sample size is so small though that if you had 2 catches to his total he's at Beasley's Catch %. Add 3 and he's with Brown.
  11. Definitely need to add another option at least of Brown's quality.
  12. He has more catches that any wr on the team other than Brown and Beasley.
  13. I noticed Rambo split out wide on several occasion against the Browns. His stats show he has the 3rd most receiving production after Brown and Beasley, with Singletary next behind him. Should the Bills be utilizing Knox as the #3 or #4 wr on clear passing downs?
  14. There's a world of difference between an honest evaluation of the positive and negative of Daboll's game such as yours, and the drunken rage filled vitriol expressed by a number of posters demanding Daboll be fired last Sunday for his performance against Washington. The next 8 games are going to tell us a lot about a number of things. None of us really know who is going to improve and rise to the occasion, and who is going to regress. I'm excited to see how it all plays out, and we have the entire off season to talk about the next steps the team needs to make to improve. What I'd like to see from Daboll is more consistency in his play calling, exploit what is working and getting the ball more into the hands of Smoke, Motor, Bease. I'll wait until the end of the season to makeup my mind whether I think the Bills should bring Daboll back.
  15. I find a big difference between analyzing as as mechanism to identify strengths and weaknesses with an eye towards discussing solutions, and analyzing in order to place blame and exact punish as a form of satisfaction. Love reading people's takes when it's the former... The later is repellent like vomit.
  16. Exactly, and there's a world of difference between talking about where your footbll team needs to improve, and obsessing only on the negative as a defense mechanism to protect your feelings from being hurt if the team doesn't exceed your unrealistic expectations. I for one am enjoying watching the improvements this season, and am looking forward to talking about the next steps to move forward even further in the off-season. You know, when it's the off-season. I think there's a few too many people that are so used to taking about who the new coach should be and posting mock drafts this tine of year that they don't know what to do with themselves.
  17. It would have happened a lot sooner if not for the hamstring injury. I'll give the coaching staff the benefit of the doubt and assume they were being cautious, knowing they need Motor for the second half of the season.
  18. The reason why I posted the thread was to get a general consensus of where the board is at in terms of patience and process. The majority have none, and would blow up a team on the cusp of winning a Super Bowl because it fits the 3 and done ***** show that Ralph Wilson seemed to have conditioned them into demanding. I see huge strides forward from last year to this year, and think that we have an opportunity to take big strides forward over the next few seasons. But the majority prefer the satisfaction of seeing people fired, it gives some kind of satisfaction.
  19. These are Eli Manning's first 4 years. He won the Super Bowl the next year.

  21. I'm thinking Belichick didn't like that he couldn't, or wouldn't, play through bruises. If there are no personal problems to be found, I think the Bills should at least bring him in for an interview.
  22. Well, Brady is the best at moving in the pocket to neutralize the pass rush. So his guys can get beat, but he steps up and makes his throws.
