Week 11 TNF: Zona at Seattle Battle of the Birds
Motorin' replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's a better passer than Lamar Jackson for sure, but he needs a full pitcher's windup to drive the ball downfield. Josh would have made that throw with all other elements being equal. -

He didn't have the arm strength to make that throw under those circumstances. -

Murray had Isabella for a TD. He didn't have the arm to get it there in time. Josh would have had 6 on that throw. -
Seeing it again this morning I realized that Poyer came crashing in and knocked Tre White on his ass. Tre would have knocked or ripped the ball away had that not happened.

But do the Bills ever really compete for the top tier FA's? We tend to overpay for average starters and never really compete for Top 3 players (in their prime) at impact positions. The trade for Diggs was about the only way to bring bone fide level of talent to the team.

Hear me out: We could very well win out
Motorin' replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
idk man, I read in the Game Day thread during the 2nd half of the Patriots game that we weren't going to win another game this year. -
The full quote is "There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics." And Mark Twain was quoting Benjamin Disraeli.

Oh, I see how it happened now, thanks man. Rewatching that play you also see him chase down Murray while passing Trent Murphy was was dogin' it and had given up on the play. Jerry Hughes has 3 TFL over 436 plays compared to AJ's 2 TFL across 110 plays. That's a TFL ever 145 plays for Jerry and every 55 plays for AJ. It's too small of a sample size probably, but you're not really making your case by focusing on the #'s. AJ's QB hits are ever 55 plays and Jerry's is 1 every 54.5 plays. I want to see him take snaps away from Murphy who is a waste of space far too often.

First let me say I like this guy. He's flashed some explosiveness and violence from the DE position, and has made some plays. I think losing him and Dane Jackson against the Cards hampered the defensive effort last Sunday. Now to his head injury. I was very surprised to see him walking off the field bc the last play I remembered him in was when he chased down Kyler Murray for the tackle while attempting a wild tomahawk chop. Then he jumps up in celebration towards the Bills sideline and tumbles over as the cameras cut away. Did he face plant right in front of McDermott and give himself a concussion?

I haven't been around this particular Bills board long enough to remember that particular poster! -

This wouldnt hurt as much if the Fins werent a game back
Motorin' replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not thinking about the Fins. I'm not looking at their schedule and adding up the wins and losses in my head. I don't really care about them. I'm a lifelong Bills fan, and if there's any Bills fans out there wasting time thinking about the Fins I think we should start a fund to send them all teal and orange speedos for X-Mas. Go Bills! -
Still haven’t seen Allen’s potential

He's related to that kid from Blasdale who used to wear a Dan Marion jersey in the 90's. -

There's something about Josh that reminds me of John Elway. And I remember Elway losing 3 Super Bowls and only winning his first at the age of 38. He had lost 8 playoff games prior to winning his first championship, over 13 seasons. Six of his first 13 years he did not make the playoffs. I'm in this for the long haul with Josh. -
Did Mitch Morse play yesterday?
Motorin' replied to clearwater cadet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope, Eric Wood filled in for him. -

Not possible, QB's are determined by their stats (says people who have never learned from experience). Rodgers has horrible games every season. -

Yea, totally. I haven't seen one ounce of evidence that Josh Allen has the potential for growth. And nobody ever gets better at anything in life past the age of 24. In fact, it's pretty much downhill from here on out. -
New Addition to Top 10 Bills Losses
Motorin' replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is also the kind of loss that can fuel the Bills to play more ruthlessly. They keep letting teams back into games, I think, because they have not developed a ruthless ability to put teams away. This is the type of sting that can fuel that fire. -
Exactly. I looked it up in the rule book just to be sure. If a player falls on the ball and does not try to run, 1 second ticks off the clock. Why not give Josh a chance to throw it as far as he can? Maybe there's a PI and Bass gets to kick the game winning fg?

Top 15 Most-Heartbreaking Bills Moments
Motorin' replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Ronnie Harmon drop against the Browns in the playoffs might be my #2. Illegal Forward Pass was the most infuriating loss, but as far as heart breaks go, in the moment I was more heart broken when we lost in the Dawg Pound. Long term, the Music City Miracle is more devastating bc that was literally the last gasp of the that era's Bills and it's taken 20 years to start feeling like it used to. -
I think the Bills missed an opportunity to throw their own Hail Mary. Even though it was a scquib kick, Hyde could have fallen on the ball giving himself up. The clock doesn't start until there's possession. And giving himself up immediately leaves one second on the clock. You never know, there could have been a PI in the endzone.
