I hope Mitch Morse and Josh Allen get up to speed in calling protections. He improved somewhat over last year but one thing I want to see that can be easily improved every year is JA's pre-snap calls. If our QB coach is up to snuff we shouldn't be seeing some of those obvious safety blitz sacks JA never thought to pick up. Mitch Morse should be key for a lot of this. A high IQ Center can really help a quarterback out, and they should be able to develop a long term chemistry you want to see like the famous C/QB pairings we've seen in the league.

Yep, validation will come when we've earned it. We know what we have and we're excited about that. If we're confident, the national media attention will come.. until then it really comes off as insecure to look for the national media to give validation to a 6-10 team. The players do their homework in the free agency process and they see a lot of what we've seen. They may like it, they may prefer some other team. Sounds like Cole's bought into that but really a free agent that makes a decision based on Sports Center is a fool.. I seriously doubt free agents think that way. Cole clearly knows no one circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills

Why are the Browns the sexy pick?
Bing Bong replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Njoku's really the talent on the Browns everybody is overlooking. He's going to be very good. And Baker has shown he likes throwing the TE routes. There's not many elite TE's in the league that are capable of the production Njoku can develop into and that creates matchup nightmares.. next to already elite pass catchers as well. It'll be a pick your poison passing offense. Those saying the egos make the Browns boom or bust.. I don't get it. They can already do without a few of their new acquisitions if they need to.. and they're much better with them. And how many times do we say this about teams. It just takes strong coaching and leadership.. the Rams stacked the deck with questionable character players. Teams make this play all the time and it pays off just as often as it doesn't. Can't see them getting worse with the acquisitions but they can obviously be much better if coached right. OBJ flaming out won't make competitors on the team play worse. They're success just depends on if everybody on the team wants to win. -
Imagine if we Lee Evans could have played with Allen!
Bing Bong replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was young. But Evans never blew me away. Not saying he couldn't run the whole route tree but he just seemed incapable of beating top corners.. making us really ineffective against top defenses. I always thought he would have been better served as the #2 option going against lesser corners. It was probably more about the quarterback he had though. But he also did not last long at all. As a successor to Moulds, who was my favorite player, I guess I was spoiled at what I expected my #1 WR to be able to do when judging Lee Evans. Moulds set a high bar that I've realized is tough to expect your team to match every time they draft a WR high. -
What is fair trade value for Clowney?
Bing Bong replied to BrycePaup4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd love me some JaDaveon. His stock seems at its lowest right now but I've seen him take over games. Dude can ball! Plus he'd move back into his position as a 4-3 DE right. Texans playing 3-4? -
probably means 6 then. Seems like you can take whatever the suspension is -2 after appeals right Thought it would be longer tbh.

Why are the Browns the sexy pick?
Bing Bong replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the Browns were better than the Bills last year, are seen to have the best quarterback from that draft (Baker > Darnold, JA), have made the splashiest FA signings, acquired more All-Pros than the Bills and Jets, and have seen their conference rivals Steelers and Ravens get weaker while the Patriots just won yet another SB. It's a slam dunk for the national media. Just look at it on paper without your Buffalo vision on. -
You'd have seen it if you watch all his games. I haven't myself.. college basketball is painful to watch so I just watch Syracuse, but I trust Duke fans, analysts, and I see it on highlights. But my larger point is in the NBA right now you can get away with not having a shot. The game's changed so much that nobody wants midrange 2s, they need efficiency in the paint and 3 range shooters. The better Zion is a threat to shoot a 3 the closer the NBA defender has to guard him on the perimeter, and the easier it is for him to take it to the basket. Giannis is limited and has defenders giving up the 3 and he still has the ability to drive and kick or get a layup in the paint. Analytics have made midrange 2s extinct. Idk if you've seen the shot charts out on how the NBA is evolved right now but you'll see most shots in the NBA are either all behind the 3 point line or 3 feet from the basket. It's a misconception that the NBA is changing to all 3 shooting superstars. The spacing allows for more efficient drives in the paint, and there's more shots in the paint than ever with midrange 2s eliminated. The spacing 3 point shooting role players provide allows the superstars to operate all over the arc. The superstars aren't necessarily 3 point shooters.. the guys around them are. I kind of see scoring on the inside as evolving from post up play (due to the paint being crowded) in the Shaq era to driving inside from the perimeter with hyper athletic superstars who score themselves or dish it to the big guy. Zion will be able to drive like the best of them.

I don't even care if they were all dunks. What's the data analytics on dunks haha. That's why Giannis is so good and efficient. If you have a guy that can throw down a dunk regularly in the NBA you have a very efficient player.
-
Spacing in the NBA right now. He's already a better shooter than Ben Simmons or Giannis. These guys can be successful with absolutely no shot to begin with bullying people in the pros with shooters around them spacing the floor. He's a top prospect because he's actually a very good shooter with range for his size combined with LeBron potential for bullying down the lane for high percentage shots. He's got a high floor, higher ceiling. Scouts are drooling at him for his shooting potential. If he can shoot just as good as Giannis right now.. he can improve as much as Giannis has improved his shot if he works at it. He's a high IQ player too, there's no flaws to what his game is capable of being and that's all you want out of an NBA prospect. Every guy his age has a ton to work on. It's just the fact that he has this great skill set already coming into the NBA with potential to round out with everything you're bringing up he might struggle with. If 19 year olds never improved in the NBA and the Zion you see now is the Zion you see 5 years later in the NBA.. he'll be a decent player. But scouts are obviously going to project him out. He's the certain #1 overall and has no flaws you couldn't also point to other dominant college players. You're criticism could be said for every dominant big guy entering the NBA. You have to assume they improve. Ben Simmons never improved his shot and he could be so much better. Zion already has everything Ben Simmons has plus a better shot.

It's whatever you want to be as a fan. You know the kids want to hang a banner. I want to hang a banner. I enjoy Syracuse making a name for themselves with a run in the ACC tournament. It may not get as much notoriety as a run the the big tournament but it's just a smaller tournament where we have a much higher chance to.. get that banner hung!

13 for 13.. insane statline
-
I jinxed us..
-
Don't look now but.. Syracuse is in the game with Duke minus one Tyus Battle. ACC tournaments are important. They establish momentum for the tournament and you get to hang a friggin banner. Of course these kids like winning the conference.. they're competitors. ACC championship is a nice consolation prize for the highly unlikely chance of going deep in the tourney. Plus your conference can really suck. So when ACC shat the bed as a whole last year in the dance at least you can say you were better than the rest of those guys. He has custom shoes from Bike haha. Cheating! His stat line is unreal tonight

How does Boeheim pull these games out of his *** and play duke close when his teams have no business being on the court?? Boeheim really has Coach K's number

Haha getting owned by NFC teams until the 98 Broncos showed up? Bills were the bastion of the AFC fight but by the time the Cowboys emerged felt like any top 3-4 NFC teams would crush the AFC champs. Let's get this DL back to 2014 status. We'll never have another Bruuuuuuuce

Are we getting this dude or what?!

Hate to say it but, I actually feel bad for Dolphins fans
Bing Bong replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My dad is a phins fan and.. I could care less about his plight. Being irrelevant and bottom feeders to the Pats have kept us from hating each other. We both just hope for a 10-6 wildcard every year assuming we drop 2 to the inevitable 12-4 Pats. We have much in common the past decade. He was psyched for the Chad Henne era lol now I get to be psyched for the Josh Allen era. It shouldn't take long for them to get started on a rebuild they're just a year or 2 behind us and the Jets. These 3 AFCE franchises have been rebuilding and reloading for 2 decades. Time is a circle in the AFCE.. for now. -
Sorry I was super vague. I was thinking of Jon Gillon's bank shot that weird year we had him and Andrew White as mercenaries for hire. I know Gbinije had his fair share of heroic moments and he lasted much longer. Wasn't bad at point his senior year
-
awesome. Let's track Lamar Jackson's Ravens next year and see how many coach's entire career he and John Harbaugh ruin. That team must be a lock for 0-16 lol.

Is Poyer giving up his jersey # to Gore?
Bing Bong replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
nbd but it's Poyer's number to give away. Wouldn't care if he threw a bone to a 1 year deal guy or not.
