I'd think much less of Josh Allen if he let's a WR ruin his career tbh. That's on JA to navigate the NFL world full of egos and star power and leadership qualities. If your WR is b*****ing about you tell him to stfu haha. I hate the idea that JA needs to be in a fragile bubble. He's got to do what every other good quarterbacks have had to do to be successful and not fold for the flimsiest excuse that he has a cranky WR.

Should Ian Rapaport Be Drawn and Quartered?

He blew it, but the punishment must fit the crime. Guillotine for the merciful option. -
Could be. I don't see what else they can do right now though. I get the thought process because they were a surprisingly good team last year before Alex Smith went down. NFCE race will be a 3 headed monster if they have a competent quarterback. They would have likely knocked both Dallas and Philly out of playoffs with Alex Smith. They were way in the lead.

Imagine this team with an elite te

I've seen too many busts at that position in the 1st round. I'm fine with going high but a) bust rate at TEs are high, investments between rounds 1-3 pretty much show the same returns b) TE is entirely on the quarterback's preference. If that's his safety blanket and not an RB or slot WR. See Jimmy Graham's or Zach Ertz's production completely change with different quarterbacks c) Jesse James is really as good as you can ask for given the bust rate above. There's really only 3 elite TEs right now. So many things need to go right to have the kind of production you're wanting. And I don't like those odds -
Should Ian Rapaport Be Drawn and Quartered?

I know right. I got ZERO sleep. All for naught. Was dreaming of partying for "AB signing day" tonight. Now I will drink alone.. in bed.. at 6pm -
Josh Allen's got to have better intangibles than that if this is going to ruin him. McDermott will nip AB in the butt if he's hurting JA. And if AB IS getting open and not getting the ball same thing.. that's on JA to learn how to use the first real weapon he's ever really had as a quarterback. This will shed some light on our Quarterback right away.

Dangit I thought junior.. I mean my point still stands. He's sort of an NBA tweener no? Those guys don't really go up in the draft just having the unfortunate skills to go with their size. Like he's probably learning the NBA as a wing SF which Boeheim never would have had him do.. Sort of like Rakeem Christmas being a dominant C ultimately undersized and needing development as a stretch 4. I'm probably mixing up players right now. Too hyped for the AB news. Nvm he's a great stretch 4 prospect. I thought he was a bit smaller. Boeheim's probably right. He could have improved. We also desperately needed Lydon to stick around. Boeheim just shouldn't have gone public. And this isn't his first time. And my main concern is it ruins his recruiting for top prospects.

Ironically I think maybe a younger (but still very talented.. I hope for JA) QB might be what AB needs where he doesn't feel under Ben's foot. Could just be a matter of respect that changes it. AB is too hard to figure out as far as what makes him tick but JA can make this situation a potent weapon by showing confidence respect and of course balling out in the next year or 2 like we believe he can. I like the move just because it puts Allen's career trajectory on steroids right away. I want to see what that young man does with a weapon and if AB blows it I'm happy Beane swung for the fence for his Quarterback to shine ASAP.
