  1. I've speculated WRs at his size have more longevity. I may be talking out of my *** but I'm mainly thinking of Steve Smith Sr and all those tall WRs that meet their demise from knee injuries I never see in the smaller ones.
  2. Lydon might have been one of my favorite players on that team his sophomore and junior years. Dude turned into the hulk in the most important moments. but if you can go pro you do it man. I'll compromise if the mantra is maybe 1st rounder. Lydon was never going to be a lotto. but at the end of the day it's such an important decision for a young man THAT DOES NOT NEED TO GO PUBLIC AND HARM HIS DRAFT STOCK. Best case scenario he's right, Lydon stays and improves. Worst case he's wrong and he potentially lowered Lydon's earning potential by saying he wasn't ready. Do these things in private. Talk to the young man yourself about the biggest decision he's going to make I'm not going to get any sleep until I figure out what's going on with this AB deal haha.
  3. LETS.... GOOOOOOOOOOOO! Beane you finally showed me you have the balls to take a risk in this league. Let's get Josh Allen rolling babee
  4. He played great. He just didn't play enough to keep the Raiders out of the game. AB played great all year (all career). He just didn't talk to his coach week 17. It was the Raiders dude, all he had to do was just get back in the game much earlier.
  5. Ben's a tough SOB no doubt.. but he blows the Raiders game. And AB blows week 17. Ben comes back in that game immediately at almost any point in his career, AB returns a coaches phone calls and attends practice at almost any other point in his career. Just a double standard is all. They each blew a late season game.. each did something they wouldn't ordinarily do. The Raiders game was a frustrating loss with an apparently healthy QB sitting out to let them back into the game and put the Steelers playoff chances out of their own destiny. That's frustrating.. compounded with everything else happening that year. AB blew it week 17.. but it's not like that action should be viewed in a vacuum. The team was falling apart. So much talent to start the season (assuming Bell continues to play) and they severely underachieved. We're talking about 2 diva players here. One just happens to have way more leverage in the organization. That's why quarterbacks rarely get the label when it's so apparent.
  6. Chiefs players were talking on the radio about going after L Bell. They've lost their minds. Said screw it.. let's see what happens with an all offense no defense team. That'd be fun to see but a major cap hit to essentially marginally change your starting year roster from Kareem Hunt to L Bell.
  7. Yeah felt like the only hope was banking on Brissett taking a huge step going into the season. Aside from Brissett and Battle I'm pretty tired of seeing these same players last what.. like 3-4 years? Not good enough
  8. He's been accused of publicly lowering his best players draft stock. I forget who it was recently.. maybe Michael Carter Williams? Where he told the media that a clear NBA first rounder shouldn't be drafted, wasn't NBA ready, needed more development at college, etc. I mean he explicitly said something like he wouldn't draft his own guy into the NBA. That's messed up and rubs fans and players alike the wrong way. Not a good reputation. I'm sure there's truth to what he's saying sometimes, and it gets overblown, but the MCW thing was BAD. He really didn't choose his words carefully. He keeps getting NBA buzz a la Brad Stevens at Butler. I'd have to say now Bennett is the best in-game coach in college basketball, would be cool to see him try it in the NBA. However he seems to have built a powerhouse at UVA whereas Brad Stevens' Butler wasn't meant to last.
  9. yeah Blaine Gabbert.. Blake Bortles. Jimmy Clausen.. Yuck. You got to sound like a quarterback. 1 syllable hard consonants for the first name, and soft consonants with stresses on the vowells in the last: John Elway, Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Tom Brady, Matt Ryan.. ya just gotta sound like a HOF quarterback ya know?
  10. yeah but then the players would have to actually wear blue collared baseball shirts. They ain't going to be happy with the uniform. We can make the helmets designed like a hard hat while we're at it and luggage has to look like a blue pail lunchbox. Go out and represent Buffalo boys!
  11. God had other athletes to help. Huge sports fan that guy.
  12. Don't get how much stock people get in the combine. If it's so important to value player why don't they go ahead and have NFL rosters run 40s and shuttles every year lol
  13. I bet Charlie Casserly's interview with David Carr went swimmingly.
  14. Bill Russell in the 70s NBA haha. He underacheived: only won 2 championships with 5 HOFers
  15. Barkley's the GOAT of QB backups.. relative to Peterman that is.
  16. I'll have to wait until I can use my burner phone and am outside of work before I'm comfortable clicking this link.
  17. His special skills were supposed to be his damned hands as a possession WR and that's been his worst attribute haha. That's why I can at least assume he'll get his mojo back from college.. unless all those catches were college softballs from a weak armed QB (they were). I've always said grab some Steelers scouting brass. Poach the heck out of them for whatever $$$ it takes. Even outside of WR. They've been the best in the league at drafting this past decade IMO.
  18. MCM was the beginning of my fandom lol. Love started right away in an absolute heart break. He wins games for Russell Wilson. Russell says so in his PCs. The messiah quarterback..
  19. I'm just surprised at how much stock GMs are taking in this. Ultimately I think they won't let it be a huge factor. But they're certainly acting like it's the end of the world for Murray. Being uncomfortable in an interview doesn't necessarily translate to abilities and leadership on the field and locker room. That's fine and all, but if the FO truly believed the HC was hopeless, why are they not attributing Josh Rosen's performance as a part of Wilks' apparent incompentence? I'm just saying don't make the 2 anchors on the team both the scapegoat. It's got to be one or the other. Like I was saying.. what if the Rams just fired both Fisher and rookie Goff lol. At least improve what you think the problem is.. coach or QB.. and see how the other fares with better - coach or quarterback.
  20. Fitzgerald's hitting a wall. He had a fair share of drops which was bizarre to see. He's still great, but declining WR playing slot being your best weapon BY FAR is not good at all. As for David Johnson, I'd peg it on coaching, OL, and possibly Johnson himself.. sort of like Shady this year (albeit in his prime). The Cardinals offense was truly terrible. What I don't understand about this is the Cardinals let their HC go after just one year. And there's speculation they give up on Josh Rosen in one year as well? Which is it? Figure out if it's the coach OR the quarterback before you clean house after just one year.. don't blame it all on both. Dumb, that's like the Rams dumping Fisher AND rookie Goff.
  21. Exactly, Giants didn't keep him for that reason (and the high $$$). He's great against the run, gets exposed playing zone coverage. We'd be worse off in pass coverage replacing Poyer. He'd be great if we played in a division with monster running backs trying to stuff it down our throat, but AFCE is pretty pass happy and has poor running games. And the Giants don't even want him to help stuff the Cowboys running game.. We'd be downgrading in pass coverage replacing Poyer. Better against the run sure.. but let's get that done in the front 7. I love our secondary unit.
  22. dirty player sure. He balled out in the SB compared to Aaron Donald IIRC. Don't really want him terribly but he's not necessarily a team killer, or a bad influence, or anything. By all appearances a hard worker even with money. AFAIK his only bad reputation stems from playing dirty. So I don't really know what a "process" guy is supposed to be lol. I don't love Suh but if a few malicious fines DQs you from being a process guy we're filtering down our talent pool on the defensive side to a really small group.. if Suh doesn't fit the bill.
