When did he whine or show some overpowering selfish ego.. It's not a new concept in professional sports to seek a new contract in the Free Agent market. Kept his mouth shut and sought out more guaranteed second contract as all runningbacks with limited shelf life absolutely need to get. They get 1 great contract after their rookie deal typically. These guys play for money. If Bell's greedy for being a professional football player, everybody is greedy lol. If you think his injury risk is "exponentially greater now" and he's garbage at RB then he's best served getting FA $$$, for his past performance.. (over-performing his rookie contract by a MILE), from 29 teams that do not share your opinion right? Maybe his body will break down, he won't do well outside the Steelers offense, and "get paid and be a footnote", but that's an unfair assessment on his character IMO.

I like Josh Allen more too. I also wouldn't cut bait on a rookie QB with a 6-2 record and playoff berth
-
Going rogue Who TF coined that phrase around here anyway haha

He was bad in the playoffs and made me look like a jackwagon. But I happened to randomly catch some Ravens games where he was dominant. Passing was always iffy but much better than what people give him credit for. Chargers game felt like nothing he showed he can do from the regular season was there. He makes much better decisions/passes than he did that game. I'd look for a contingency plan no doubt. But as of now, you really can't just move on from a rookie QB going 6-2. And I don't think an L Bell signing says much about Lamar Jackson anyway. He'll make LJ look better. They would have a really unique offense. But LJ could still ultimately fail and they can still find a QB if they want to move on next year or 2 with Bell still under contract. Bell and LJ with a great defense looks great on paper to me.

They should give Lamar Jackson a chance to have a full year working with a playbook built for him.. rather than some jerry-rigged converted Flacco offense. LJ went 6-2 as a rookie they have no reason not to see how he improves.

Makes a ton of sense! I like that. Makes the Ravens running game a 2 headed monster. Helps cover Lamar's weaknesses passing having the best league check down option. AND BELL GETS TO EAT THE STEELERS DEFENSE IN DIVISION NEXT YEAR. That makes for a fun narrative. I'm all for it

Right the timing is a concern. One benefit at least is it gives Gruden a perfect evaluation on Derek Carr in a critical point in a rebuild. I have no idea how AB will age. But my biased point when we thought we signed AB was WRs at his size tend to play great long into their careers. I don't know if that's necessarily true.. but I'm thinking of Steve Smith Sr, and Jerry Rice. He also no doubt takes better care of his body training than the next guy. The demise of WRs almost invariably seems to come from knee problems, an issue with the taller guys. Marques Colston, Andre Johnson come into mind falling off the cliff. Again I'm just thinking of players that fit my point haha.. but I do believe smaller WRs will last longer I just don't really want to deep dive into it since he ain't a Bill when I thought about crunching the numbers on small WRs Thursday night

Raiders basically got a contract the same as if they just traded for OBJ for a 3rd and 5th.. it was an absolute steal. I know there are character concerns but it's clearly a great move for the Raiders just looking at the value they got. They just aren't really in the right part of their rebuild to get AB. So the fit and role for AB is strange.. but Gruden just upgraded his offense with the best possible player in the league, can see how Carr can be evaluated I'm assuming, and has money and picks to really put the rebuild on steroids. It's a classic Raiders move. High risk, high return. I see it as they're 2 years behind us in their rebuild process, and maybe made a move for AB just a bit too early whereas we were more primed to benefit from a huge move. They can still have AB on the books when they fill out the roster but they're giving themselves the chance to really speed up their rebuild. And they really have to with AB's age window. I don't see how it's not a win. Regarding character concerns: they don't have much to lose with how bad they were last year.. and the Raiders are the franchise that will embrace their divas more than anyway. Although I will say Gruden totally clashed with Keyshawn Johnson so it boils down to how the 2 egos get along.

Most dead cap in league history. AB absolutely took the Steelers to shop. AB: A++ Raiders: A++ Steelers: F Read an ESPN article about how Steelers unique contract structuring exposes them selves to the most risk in the NFL. Would be interesting if they change their philosophy. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/26186487/grading-antonio-brown-trade-steelers-raiders-won

And Poyer's apparently a borderline alcoholic lol

so the Steelers must be working out trades one at a time so Brown can negotiate as some sort of semi-free agent. That's sooo inefficient lol. I feel bad for the GM he must be working his a** off these past 24 hours to find a trade he's okay with, and then hope Brown takes it.. and then start over again haha.

nah that's cheating. You just got to pay fat bonuses, low contracts until you run out of money and have to relocate to Mexico City.

I think the Giants are hellbent on keeping OBJ. Not sure why trade speculation keeps coming up. They're pretty tolerant with the guy.

Don't care. But I wouldn't mind if they'd at least also call out Detroit, Cleveland, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Indianapolis as armpit cities as well..
