Incognito's Retirement? [update: Now Released]
Lfod replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think I could meet McDermott or Beane without turning into a pathetic fanboy. As much as I would like to keep composure it wouldn't happen, I love everything they do a little to much. Same for the Pegulas. -

MMQB: The Jets' Long Road To Sam Darnold
Lfod replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still would have benched Tyrod. People act like it was doom. People got to see Tyrod choke for entire playoff game. They didn't miss out on that little gem of a game. Your damned if you bench Tyrod your damned if you don't. Sorry this response was meant more for the people bringing it up then you. I probably shouldn't of quoted you. -

I liked Incognito. I just don't like the idea of having players that are not fully committed. The second a person hints at being non committed it's time to move on. Even if moving on is tough. -
Well the Chargers straight gave the Bills a solid beating last year. So Anthony Lynn had the gamplan. I'm not very confident about beating the Chargers. Baltimore should be a win but I'm concerned that the offense might need games to Gel with the transition it's in. So I wouldn't be shocked if it's a win or loss. I think defense will keep the game in reach regulardless of the offense.

I think your prediction is right on, but the Bills can't afgord to come out of that 1-3. So I'm going to be in denial and say we beat the Vikings or Green Bay.
-
I really should have looked at the schedule. I didn't realize it was that serious starting out the gate. 4-0 to 3-1 start would greatly exceed my expectations. It looks more like a 1-3 or 2-2 start. I agree with your prediction but I'm leaning twords 2-2. We can beat the Vikings.

Last seasons offensive performances have left me skeptical. The good news in my mind is that the winds of change swept through. At least it will look different. I'm just hoping it isn't a different kind of bad. I'm not much into evaluation of what I have not seen. I'll have my opinion after I've seen it in operation. I'm emotionally all in on the owners and McDermott and Beane. If this thing fails it will rip my heart out. My expectations are not very high but if in the end we move on to a different staff I'll be taking a hiatus from being a football fan.

Is it safe to change his name to Johnny Goofball? I don't think he deserves to be called Johnny Football anymore.

I like the look of this roster/Defense
Lfod replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The defense held the Jaguars to 10 points in a playoff game. They got the job done and I was proud of them. They created many turnovers and it was entertaining. The potential was achieved last season. The Bills defense will be a monster this season. -
Tyrod has the talent and the athletic ability to be elite. The problem is that he has the mind and play style of a back up QB. That was his downfall in Buffalo and will most likely be the same issue in Cleveland. No one can break those back up habits and traits from him. It's been to deeply ingrained. That's how he survives in the NFL and he's to scared to change for fear of losing his place and it's costing him. Like he's to afraid to take the training wheels off his bike and just ride. He is to scared to fall. By not taking risk for fear of looking bad it made him look bad.

Start Allen from Day 1/ QB competition
Lfod replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd rather Daboll have the offense established before starting a rookie QB in the first year of his OC tenure and the first year implementing his scheme. To big of an investment to throw him out there without a foundation. If he earns it during training camp then start him. Starting Josh Allen is not something you can be wrong on. You can't start him then bench him. That will be all she wrote. -

At some point, probably around training camp the kool aid kicks in. Thats when I get into my fan mode. At that point I'm a fan of anything and everything the team does. Then I try to save any dissapointment or criticism until my team is not contenders for the division or wildcard spot. I can actually feel the Kool aid kicking in now and I'm all in. -
The CFL was the only way. If he would of read my comments about him before he would of realized that. You have to earn that reputation back, those words mean nothing. It's about time and I don't understand why he was playing games before. I still predict he gives up on it just because he delayed this action.

I stand by what I said before. I've seen dudes get literally destroyed by a woman. When a woman turns really turns on you she will castrate you even (John Bobbet). They can be the softest sweetest things ever. Can give you so much joy. Just some guys know when stuff is toxic and head for the hills and some guys just niave sticking it out when it's toxic and get burned. Know when it's time to walk away and it can't be salvadged. I think this guy may have learned that lesson.

That's good to know. I like knowing more positive things about him.

Darnold: Ha I told you I would get picked before you Rosen. Baker: I told him too. He really thought he was going 1st. Allen: Yea even with my tweets he was picked after me! Rosen: *Cry, You like me right Lamar? Lamar: Don't talk to me Rosen.

Tyrod had a lot of qualities I liked. He was durable. I mean he did get knocked out but man those were hard hits. He was athletic and could make some plays. I'm got nothing against Tyrod and I actually do have a ton of respect for him. I just understand that Buffalo brought in a back up that's been in the league awhile to see if they could get him to transition into a starting quarter back. I have nothing against it. The experiment is over. Tyrod straight choked in games. No one can deny that. He choked in the Panthers and Jaguars games. That's on him. He's the field general and controls the field. Thanks for the 3rd round pick Tyrod. Now it's the real deal, your playing for the worst team in football and you have people thinking your the real deal. Even after those disaster games. I'm sorry but I'm siding with Buffalo. We made the right choice to bench him and then move on the smart way getting value. I still think starting Tyrod is safer because you need him to get a few wins so everything is more in sync for Baker.
