  1. I watched the video today. Dude looks more jacked up for sure. I'd probably never diss him about that 3 point playoff game to his face. Wish it had been different for Tyrod in Buffalo because he really is a good guy. I have no problems with what he's saying. One door closes and another opens. He might find he fits in Cleveland or some other team in the future. I never doubted that Tyrod gave his all to win. It just didn't end up helping the team win as much as I would have liked.
  2. A few more first downs and touchdowns last season and nobody is talking about luck or Andy Dalton. So I'm actually optimistic and still holding the get away with a bad season pass I had for McDermott last season just hoping to not cash it in. Last season wasn't bad for me. If you see how I react to Bills games you would never need to ask. I'm not claiming to be the biggest fan or the most knowledgeable. I think I'm usually good at making sure what I type on here is known as just my amateur opinion.
  3. That and always admit that I was an advocate to see it happen. Wanting something to happen and getting your way makes you feel like a bigger part. So in a strange way I own it like I made the choice. It would feel a lot different if the Bills beat the Jaguars. I would have felt really stupid that Tyrod got benched. I would have a different tone then I do now.
  4. I'm not upset that Tyrod got benched. I'm not mad that Peterman threw 5 picks and got pulled. I'll never have to wonder what if we started Peterman. I got the answer I was looking for. I don't care who made the call or who's fault it was because I wanted it badly. My favorite team made the Playoffs. Then the defense did it's job and the offense didn't. Tyrod and Dennison are gone. So I'm getting what I want. Whatever happened last season with that offense has been scrapped and the winds of change are setting it in. The 3 point playoff game is what upset me. I guess different things effect people different. It's life. I got it early and I am getting it now. All the moves I want are happening. Keep it coming.
  5. Well I can dispute what I don't know. I don't know what happened behind the scenes to influence everything. I wasn't there and I don't know a friend who knew a friend that was. I do know who was HC of the team at the time. I do know who ultimately had the final call at the end of the day. If I'm struggling with money and you influence to rob a bank at the end of the day I made the final call being in total control. So scapegoats do nothing for me. If it's true that Dennison manipulated a guy holding higher rank then him with little to no evidence to support his claim and the guy in charge approved the choice unchecked and blind then I think that isn't a good look and I seriously hope a lesson was learned. I don't know how making Dennison the big bad wolf makes it better. I really don't.
  6. In hindsight I absolutely agree that Tyrod was the best QB we had at the time. I'm not convinced anybody we have will be better either. I'll just have to admit that I had absolutely no clue Petermans debut was going to be that bad. I had to see it for myself and I'm still glad I did. I didn't have very high expectation but my expectations were a bit higher then what I got. I think we agree at the time that what was going on wasn't working very well. We only disagree about the choice made. You would have played it safe and stuck with Tyrod and you were correct in that mindset. I would have took the risk at the small chance Peterman could be better and I was wrong. It was good enough for you and not good enough for me. I can respect it. As for excuses my dad always used to say they are like buttholes, everyone has one. I'll just say I expect a seasoned vet to be light-years ahead of a rookie during his first year. It could of been that working with an inadequate OC on a talented starved offence effected both Tyrod and Peterman, or maybe they both sucked. They both have room to grow. One guy has had more time for that growth. That's real talk. Saying that Peterman hasn't had the time to acclimate himself into the league that Tyrod has had doesn't mean he will. It's just a fact. He has not had the years of grooming and the years of starting experience. That's fact. If I just start a job you been at 5+ years what you think the chances are I will start out performing you my first few tries? Very slim. Why start Peterman? We had a HC with the stones to make that gamble. When you gamble you might win and you most likely will lose. I guess the brass felt it was worth the gamble. That is history now. We will see how it works out. Both QBs can prove themselves. I'm not convinced yet that it will happen for either of them but I will keep an open mind even if I have my preconceived notion on how it will turn out. I'm not saying you are wrong feeling benching Tyrod was the wrong choice. I'm just saying I would roll the dice to be better even if it cost me a few steps. When you first take the training wheels off a bike you probably will crash. It's a risk you take when learning to ride. You can keep them training wheels on your whole life but it's limiting yourself.
  7. I just think that the Panthers and Jaguars games are indicators of what can happen. Tyrod had decent games with the aid if a ball hungry defense. I wouldn't say the offense every truly was dominant in a stretch of games. It always felt like I was hoping on the defense to hold any lead the Bills would get. The question is answered by saying that if the defense plays lights out and forces some turn overs and holds the chargers to 10 to 21 points. Then maybe Tyrod wins that game with the game manager style. At that point in the season I doubt it. I still think with Tyrod at QB the Bills loses that game. Even if they beat the Chargers the Jaguars game was the final nail and enough evidence to move on from the entire offense.
  8. I just wanted to make the point that although starting Peterman turned out to be a bad choice that at the end of the day it wasn't the end of the world that some make it out to be. I won't argue that Peterman was ready. He clearly wasn't. I just think sometimes people go overboard with how bad it actually was. At the end of the day we got to see Tyrod and the Bills in the Playoffs. Yea seeing Peterman crash and burn wasn't fun. Seeing Tyrod in the Panthers game wasn't fun for me. Sticking with Tyrod may have been the correct choice but in the end it wasn't good enough either. That's really my point. Peterman wasn't ready and Tyrod wasn't good enough. It was a rock and a hard place situation.
  9. I'll ask this question. What changes if Tyrod wasn't benched and Peterman never started? I don't think much. I think the team still would of made all the moves it did up until now. Dennison would still be fired. Tyrod still would of been traded. We still all would have witnessed a 3 point playoff game. So anytime some one wants to make a big deal over it consider it effected very little but peoples pride. The chargers HC had Tyrods ticket. You don't think he could game plan for Tyrod having worked with him before? He knew the weaknesses.
  10. If that's true then why isn't Tyrod still with the Bills? Why is Peterman getting reps? I mean things were going downhill before Peterman started. Not that I disagree that Dennison was in on it. Just not to the degree that McDermott was blind and didn't see the stuff on film. It wasn't like the guy being foolishly persuaded in my opinion. I think McDermott was a guy that was going off more then just Dennisons word when it came to benching Tyrod. I think we all seen the offence was kinda terrible.
  11. I'm optimistic because last season the offense set the bar so low that this next crop would have to not lift thier feet to trip over it.
  12. If the defense is at the same level or better than last season then it won't be like the team would need the offense to make this huge leap to make another playoff birth in my opinion. A lot of opportunities went to waste I feel last season including holding the Jags to 10 points. Not capitalizing on turnovers and being content with field goals. Not moving the chains and not eating up clock. I swear the defense was on the field entire games last season. Daboll cannot let the offense stall out like it did last season. So as long as that doesn't happen I actually think we are in for a competitive season.
  13. 1. AJMcCarron starts the season. 2. The defense is amazing. 3. The offense struggles to score points and Kelvin Benjamin misses games due to injury and boxes get stacked again limiting Shady.
  14. Then hope like crazy Peterman gets it together against the odds. I know I am. I'm hoping AJ isn't just another backup experiment and that Allen isn't a bust. I did the same for TT.
  15. Peterman needs to learn to live to fight another day. Diving head first showed some real bravery. Peterman never played timid. 4 interceptions in he still let it fly. Snow game dives for extra yards. You can't knock his bravery or willingness to sacrifice himself that's for sure.
  16. The fact Peterman is getting reps tells me that it isn't out of the realm of possibility. It might just be that Peterman was thrown in a little to soon on a poor performing offence and had a bad game. He could also just be bad and always be bad. I just think if he was that terrible he wouldn't be seeing any reps. Just my opinion though. I think he is in the mix but just how much of a shot he has I can't speculate on right now. I think they saw something in Peterman we didn't get to see.
  17. 2015 I wanted Tyrod to win. I thought he could be a playmaker being a dual threat. I was supportive up until last season. It was time to put up. It didn't happen and I've moved on. Tyrod out of all those guys you listed would be my starting QB though. I don't like other teams run down QBs and I don't think EJ was ever competition for Tyrod. QB competitions are not fun when it's the best of the worst. We have a Bengals back up QB, the 5 interception guy and a rookie. It doesn't feel like a competition to me.
  18. The sad part was I don't think Peterman gets pulled from the game unless it was a total disaster like it was. The worst case scenario for that situation happened. I think it was always about benching Tyrod.
  19. I still don't understand why it bothers people still. Tyrod scored 3 points in his first playoff appearance and possibly the only experience he will ever have as a starter in an actual playoff game. The Browns isn't happening. The entire offenseive was getting shut down to the point of embarrassment. When it was good it never dominant only just sufficient and it felt like most games the team rode the defense to hold any score. When you get as many turnovers as the defense got last year you should be dominating games with those opportunities. So what if that random rookie Peterman did start looking appealing. The real mistake was starting him against the Chargers HC. A guy that has good knowledge of the Bills.
  20. I am kinda skeptical on if Allen Starts. I think McDermott knows how to run a defense. It wasn't spectacular but it had some special moments last season. I was satisfied with the defense and thought they played an amazing playoff game. I agree with you on Edmunds. I haven't seen him play but I seen the draft and post interviews and that looks like a guy wise beyond his years.
  21. I see it as the Ravens have a mindset of what type of QB they want and what they have. I think it's just the coaches way of teaching Larmar the offense and how to see everything. I mean maybe if you get a feel for what's going on at other positions you memorize what's going all over the field. I think it's them being more serious about a guy they want to groom.
  22. Well probably have some trick plays lined up. It could involve him some in the season. I just don't think it would be to specifically feature him at different positions. I could be wrong.
  23. I don't even think it would be for him to really play the position. It's training camp. I think it's more on how they are training him to see different views of the NFL.
  24. I like people getting creative. Also respect Lamar playing a role and seeing what it's like to be in the other positions. Earning his right to command of the squad.
