We live in a time of social media and instant gratification. Yes there was a time people left doors unlocked and thier personal lives private. Those days are long gone. Now all doors locked and people put thier private lives on social media. I wish I could of lived in the olden days were hard work was valued and morals were important. Those days are gone. You turn on the T.V. and it's reality shows showing the lives of celebrities or people who want to be to be judged. My point is the way you feel isn't wrong but you need to realize what kind of world do you live in. Kids getting shot by peers in school. Wars and rumors of wars. ECT ECT. Just because you don't look into the abyss doesn't mean it doesn't exist and when you look into the abyss it looks back at you. Behold I send you as sheep among wolves, be as WISE as Serpents. Meaning think like evil to avoid it. Richie tweeted his life as well. He enjoyed being worshipped and the attention. He enjoyed drinking the spirits. I go to the bar and see people dancing and singing in a drunken stupor to the songs that one day thier children's children will be in a drunken stupor dancing to. I'm not concerned for the souls of men.

Incognito's Retirement? [update: Now Released]
Lfod replied to Spiderweb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yup. I was right. -
The bolded is correct 100%. Even if Josh Allen is better I would rather still throw AJ to the wolves to start the season. I want to see Dabolls offence in operation with a vet backup over a rookie QB regulardless of each QBs skill level. You admitted your feeling a little impatient and I'll admit I'm over protective of our first round pick. It's more then just Josh Allen, it's the reputation of McDermott and Beane that I don't want put in danger. Although we actually agree when it comes to the middle ground. I want Allen to start in games this season. Just not start the first game or four games. I want the offense warmed up in the scheme before the rookie takes the wheels.

Incognito's Retirement? [update: Now Released]

Who doesn't want to get paid more? I guess every player should take notice. Let's just wait and see the outcome for cogs before we tout it as a genius idea. I don't know why more players don't conduct business like this. I'm surprised it isn't standard practice. My guess is it was a bad move and it doesn't end well. Buffalo released him yet they are the bad guy to some. They could of made things harder for him but didn't. -
That 5 interception game is Petermans reputation. It is what was visible to the world. It is mostly the only thing people have to formulate an opinion on. Even in the snow game he still ran head first into trouble and it was lights out for him. Nap time with no milk or cookies first. I respect Peterman for that. In the end he was trying to win. It cost him a lot. He attacked when the other guy played timid. I like Peterman more then Tyrod all day long. I'd rather see a guy try and fail then a guy trying to protect his stats for the future and still fail..... At this point the only person that can change the perception of him is Nathan Peterman. Not many people will throw in a vote of confidence. I don't know what he has done behind the scenes to improve. If he attacked his problems the way he ran that ball head first into the snow that day he might have gained some ground. I just don't think it's a good time to put in effort to change the preception on him. If you believe in Peterman then be prepared to hear about the 5 interceptions because until he does different it's a permanent tattoo on him. So even though I support Peterman I absolutely understand why everyone is so sure it won't happen. A later round pick that was already a long shot to begin with bombs in his first performance in the not for long league. Peterman becoming good would only benefit the bottom line. I don't think there is a person in this discussion that wouldn't come around if Peterman is winning games. It's about proving one's self and he hasn't done that yet publicly.

Brady plans to play at least two more years

As much as I would like to see him go, I don't want that to happen until after a few games the Bills crush the Patriots. -
Incognito's Retirement? [update: Now Released]

I don't think anyone has a problem if the guy valued himself at a higher rate than what he was offered. That's when Incognito shouldn't have signed the contract. Thats the point I lose a little respect. I have no problem if you value him at more then what the Bills offered I can respect that. If he negotiated stronger he might of gotten the contract he wanted. The Bills may not have payed him more, they may have. We won't ever know now. If some one signs a contract with you then backs out I doubt you pull your wallet out to pay more money out of desperation. Think about the message that sends. You backed out of one agreement but let me pay you more so you honor the next agreement. Incognito got his way. He got out of the contract and he got to keep $$$. Good for him. I don't care how good the guy is, if you can't honor your commitment I wouldn't trust you. This wasn't his first rodeo, he's been in the NFL long enough. If he didn't choose the right people to give him advice that's his problem. If he trusted the wrong people to care for his financial choices that's his problem. It doesn't matter now because the damage is done and the Bills cut thier losses. Incognito is gone, time to let go man. It will be ok. Incognito is in the wrong not the Bills. They offered what they valued him at and he accepted. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. -
THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Credit Where Credit Is Due
Lfod replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Pegulas have proven to me that they are great owners. I won't get into any debate over it because my mind isn't changing. I've seen enough to know they care about the team and eventually will get it right. McDermott has proven to me that he is a great coach. It wasn't about sneaking into the playoffs either. It's about how hard he ran his training camp before the season started. Just the reports out of training camp did it for me. Seeing the reports of drills never seen run. Having players complain and fight because it's to hard. All those sweet sweet defensive turnovers. Oh and benching Tyrod Taylor. The offense kinda sucked but at least my dude tried. Brandon Beane in shades looks like an Agent from the Matrix and that's good enough for me. He drafted one of the Top 4 QBs and didn't give up the future. Glorious! I won't she'd even a spec of doubt upon them. They are the people I support and believe in. I can feel the season approaching and it's time to let go of the doubt and just be a Bills fan. -
Let's be honest, you only want Allen to start because your impatient. I think everyone would want Allen to win the job and be the face of the franchise. Unfortunately the team just doesn't have a strong offenseive foundation to throw a first round draft pick in and expect him to be the X factor in everything else gelling around him. You don't consider we have an offence in transition. You don't consider a new scheme and a new OC is in the building. Obviously the smart thing to do is protect the draft pick and sacrifice the Vet. At least until you feel that the offense has a rythm and you feel you can pull the Vet put in the rookie and get better results. If that rythm happens in preseason then fine do it. You would risk your draft pick long before you even know if it's really the right choice or not. Your only logic is that he was a first round pick and others have done it so can he. Different teams with different situations isn't a factor. I voted AJ wins the starting job. I'm not any kind of an expert but I do think putting in AJ first to see what you have and being protective of your first round pick until your more comfortable with the offenseive situation is the smartest choice and I believe McDermott is the same way. You can not start Allen and be wrong. It's not a situation you can get cute with just because you want to know what you have immediately.

Incognito's Retirement? [update: Now Released]

People are taking it hard. I feel sorry for them. They do not understand the new culture yet. They are not used to being winners yet. They are stuck back in the drought mentality of holding on to things that make them think the team is a little better when it wasn't. -
It was the Music City Miracle. What bothered me about it was how bad the Bills got caught off guard and that was the miraculous part, for the other team. If the players had awareness it would have never went the distance. So because of that my favorite team deserved the loss for being caught off guard and I've moved on from it. I'm more in present thinking about the 3 point playoff game.

I don't think I could meet McDermott or Beane without turning into a pathetic fanboy. As much as I would like to keep composure it wouldn't happen, I love everything they do a little to much. Same for the Pegulas. -
