Josh Allen “not looking to beat anyone out”
Lfod replied to JaCrispy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the focus is more on becoming acclimated. Getting to know the team, learn the system. I figured it might take some time for the guy to find his place. I wasn't big into thinking he was just going have it all figured out and be an instant starter as a rookie. I think Josh Allen knows the situation he is in. To say it bluntly, if you want to be a good QB for the Bills you are probably going to carry a team still in transition. That's why I'm not over reacting to anything. The situation is obvious. -
I'm assuming 3-5 is because the team couldn't get the offense to score points. That at least what I would assume would be the case based on last season. Well it worked enough to win 3 games. If those 3 games are in a row and are the last 3 games played I would be excited to see things starting to click. Better late then never. At 3-5 I think your just looking for silver linings. Things to look forward to next season. I like think maybe Daboll doesn't get fired and can accomplish things when given little. All bad predictions about the Bills literally come from the fact we didn't have a good offence last year. Turn that around and we will be better then 3-5 right?

It was a good idea to see the tweets and clips. I was expecting some struggle with new OC and System so a few bad clips won't bring me down.

Zay to Active-Non-Football Injury, Palepoi released
Lfod replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Zay Jones fell off my radar. I got nothing against him but his start in some ways is worse than Nathan Petermans. It's starting to look a lot more like a wasted pick my friends. It's fallen into the spectrum of waiting around. We didn't pick a young star at his prime ready to rock the league with Zay. We got something else. Still a complete question mark with some problems attached. The dude is going to have to make some plays to get my attention again. This recent news isn't a shocker to me. -
I agree with op. I think the D will be dominant. The last game the Defense held the Jaguars to 10 points. That is job well done and on to the next game right? I'm fully on board with McDermott in the sense of Defense. I have no doubt we will see some special things as far as defense and next season. I hope it doesn't all go to waste again.

I'm all the the team working out people right now. I don't know what they will find. It's worth giving guys a look when strapped for rescources. It's possible that one of them is in tune enough to be useful for the squad. The Bills definitely could use some help.

[Update: SIGNED!] When does Josh Allen Sign his contract
Lfod replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LARAMIE, Wyo. -- On Nov. 20, 2014, near the end of Josh Allen's first season at junior college, he sent emails imploring someone -- anyone, really -- to give him a chance to be a Division I quarterback. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/20117075/wyoming-cowboys-josh-allen-goes-unknown-no-1-pick-nfl-draft-buzz I don't think Josh Allen will give up on himself or not give effort when fighting for the starting role. At least I feel comfortable with that. Hopefully he can play QB in the NFL. -
Hard Knocks 2018: The Cleveland Browns
Lfod replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I won't deny that some people are born into a disadvantage. In extreme cases some people are born into a nightmare. People can and do over come that extreme adversity and I respect it. -
I'm sorry but I can't take low predictions seriously. If the team can be productive on offense next season the team will go undefeated. I dream of an offence that is tactical, eating up clock and sustaining drives for touchdowns. I probably won't get what I want but it can't be as bad as last season. Simply put the team lacked offensive production but the defense was dominating in games. So if the offense trends up somehow we are in the money.

Hard Knocks 2018: The Cleveland Browns
Lfod replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Will the Browns still be amazing guys? Ultimately everyone lives with the choices they make despite the list of factors. I don't want to waste my life blaming the cards I have been dealt. Have to make it work regardless. -
It could of been somebody around the situation that knew Shady or the Girl and felt like taking advantage of the situation. It could of been some random stranger that just targeted a nice house. Kim Kardashian was robbed once. I haven't ruled it out but it's kinda a stretch to think the girl staged it and took the beating on purpose to try to get back at him for eviction. It's possible.

The Instagram post sets of alarms for me in a way. Especially since it was taken down. So whoever made that post knew it was a bad move and removed it. That is very telling. It's possible that a real crime did take place and because of the history between Shady and this girl, she would automatically assume Shady was involved. Your not going to want to pay a guy to commit a crime just to have all eyes on you anyway. Throw away any ground you have gained in the eviction and get the bad media. Possibly lose your freedom and life in the NFL. Not unless you completely lost it over the girl and by that point you won't be settling on assault and robbery.

Pats seeking trade partner for Malcolm Mitchell
Lfod replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd never trust the Patriots. I want a sweetheart deal to even consider talking. I don't care how good the player is. -
I don't think Shady is that dumb. He was exploring legal avenues of eviction. He doesn't need the jewelry. Once it's stolen it's just evidence and useless. Why would he pay a guy to break into his own house to beat a girl up and steal jewelry? I don't think it's that easy to set that up. You leave a trail. Plus you have to count on the guy who did it never getting caught or talking. Then throwing in the jewelry is just more stupid. I think if Shady hated her that much it would have gone all the way. Just my opinion.

I do believe McDermott is building a team. Those who didn't trust the process have shipped out. I agree the team will be special soon.

I have some thoughts about last season. They may not be original and definitely not the official narrative but I am going to present them to be torn apart anyway. McDermott can run defense very well. The forced turnovers are reflection of preconditioning. This point may be obvious to some but I need it to set a tone. It's my segue into something greater. The defense had a 3 game streak that was terrible. Out of the ordinary kinda bad. Then came back to it's original form. My theory is that McDermott had lost the defensive side of the ball to a mutiny during that period. I think that a struggling offense makes the defenses job harder every game. I think that forcing a turn over and seeing it go to waste can effect morale. To hold the field and march right back onto it after a quick 4 downs from offense. I think Dareus was involved. I think the real reason Nathan Peterman started was to qwell rebellion. I think more eyes were looking for a change then you would think. I think they grew tired of Tyrod casually walking off the field saying "I'll get em next time you just get the ball back." Then whispers about a kid named Nathan Peterman start to turn into chants. The kid throws the ball the voices say. Everything is falling apart and McDermott manned up and started Nathan Peterman. That is when everything stabilized. The defense held up and the offense limped along for the ride. McDermott took all the blame to prove a point. My feelings only confirmed by what happened in the playoffs. The point was proven to the defense and it did it's job regardless.... I'm not trying change anyones mind. It's just a strange suspicion I've always had about last season. It's also the reason I really believe in McDermott as a HC. I think once he has his OC it will be a fun time to be a Bills fan.

Kyle's playoff pre-game speech ...chills.
Lfod replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In my mind the defense didn't lose that game. It was a good speech. So it wouldn't be a good look to trash the speech because they lost. If anything I feel sorry for the defense losing that game because the offense was dead on arrival. I love my team and I understand the struggle. I seen the impact of the culture change before and throughout the season. The team just couldn't score points..... It was a serious weakness. -
This was what I was never clear on. If he was actually under a criminal investigation as a suspect to the crime. I figured it could be happening but never had 100% confirmation. If he is under investigation then it probably would take some time to link him if he was involved. I think the missing link is finding the guy who beat her up and stole the jewelery.

I appreciate your enthusiasm. I share some of it. I actually was impressed with what the team achieved last season. I also think that McDermott will take us to the Playoffs again in the future. To have an Offense so bad you have to fire your OC is the point my enthusiasm ends. It left me skeptical. I have this gut feeling that the problems won't be ironed out completely next season. I'm optimistic and realistic. I think the team is on the right track. It does have a feel of a master plan in the moves that have been made. I trust the process. I just think the offense is going to probably be still be a weakness.
