  1. Also, and underrated shout out to Tre White. He’s come out and been a true lockdown #1 corner in his rookie season, that’s impressive. but really, shady.
  2. Yes. Easily. 1. They ditched high end guys who didn’t fit what they wanted to do on the field, or didn’t fit the chemistry of the group they were trying to build. Watkins, Darby and Dareus headlines it, but letting Gilmore walk without a worry, and changing over approximately half the 52-man roster to begin shaping in the form they want to build has been a pretty big success. 2. The team did a couple things it hasn’t done since the drought began. And while we ended it because of tie breakers, I believe this team was different in this way. A) they went through a losing streak mid-season (Jets, Saints, Chargers), and bounced back, particularly after the Tyrod benching and re-starting in LA. B) this team won two road games the likes of which I haven’t seen them win since before the drought. First was in Atlanta, and second was in Kansas City. Both good teams, both tough places to play. 3 They got the biggest monkey off their backs in pro sports. That drought was dragging this team down on an organizational level. Now they can simply focus on becoming an annual contender. It selling everything to make the playoffs just so they can say they did. 4. Lastly, as stated by the OP, they’ve got 4 of the top 65 picks in this year’s draft.
  3. Also I never put my thoughts: 1. I think they’ll sign Keenum, especially if they make it to the NFC championship. 2. I think Bridgewater would be the better option. And I think they will go after him hard if he’s available. I think he fits what they’re looking for Really? I’d probably take any of the three ahead of Tyrod. But I’m also saying if they got one, they’d also be drafting a QB as well.
  4. Keenum, Bridgewater, & Bradford. Two questions: 1. Who is kept by Minnesota? 2. Of the two that hit free agency, which would you want the Bills to sign?
  5. I didn’t consider Alex smith at all. But regarding Cousins, he is a UFA, so the Redskins would have to franchise tag him for the third consecutive year for a $34.5M cap hit to keep him. That’s excessive, and it’s not like they have a great team around him and are close to being a contender. I think they might tag him, but they’ll then trade him and go after a vet in free agency and use a mid Round Pick on a developmental guy. My my personal prediction is that he goes to Denver for Lynch and a pick. Lynch gives them a developmental guy, and then they sign a vet to compete with him in the off-season. Again thats just a total guess, but regardless I think one of those teams that are looking for a quarterback find their way to a veteran, allowing Buffalo to have their choice of Lamar Jackson or Mason Rudolph. I take Rudolph all day. His downside is Dalton. His upside could be Matt Ryan.
  6. I think he’ll be there and they’ll take him with their first 1st Round Pick. Cleveland Giants Broncos Jets Cardinals those are the 5 teams that will really go after QB’s before the Bills Pick, one of whom in my estimation gets Cousins. So that takes it down to 4 teams. Rosen, Darnold, Mayfield & Allen are all very likely to go ahead of Rudolph, and Jackson has a possibility as well. Rudolph will be there and the Bills will take him.
  7. He’s better in a 3-4. If Indy keeps their defense as a 3-4, I could see him being a fit.
  8. I hope so. I’m a bit worried he might climb up the boards, but I think Darnold & Rosen, along with Mayfield, and probably Allen all go ahead of him. So if he’s the 5th QB, we should be able to get him around 18, but there’s also the possibility we could see 4 go in the top 10 (Cleveland, Giants, Jets, Broncos) with a few teams being possibilities along the way (Arizona along with Cincinnati & Miami).
  9. I think our early 1st and our 2019 1st should be able to move us above the Jets. I think the Broncos will likely end up with a veteran (my money is on Cousins), but 18 plus our first for 2019 should move us up to around #6 or #7. Maybe the Bears? Could throw in Corey’s Glenn as well? I think its either Rudolph or Darnold for the Bills. Allen seems to inaccurate, Rosen & Mayfield have things in their “makeup” that will make Beane & McDermott nervous. Jackson is 1) too slight of frame, and 2) they want a natural pocket passer, not to draft a guy they have to develop a guy into one. Falk & Finley aren’t first round caliber.
  10. I feel like they’ll be going after a veteran QB. Watch them grab an edge rusher in the first round, or an offensive lineman. Could definitely see them going after an Alex Smith/Sam Bradford/Blake Bortles/Tyrod Taylor/AJ McCarron/Trevor Siemian/ possibly even Kirk Cousins and then draft a guy later on in the draft.
  11. Having Gettleman hired by the Giants bodes well for our chances to move up for Darnold IMO. I could see Cleveland taking Rosen, the Giants trading out (hypothetically to Buffalo), and if Cleveland is at 3, they see what the Options with Rosen are (keep him, trade him for another QB, Draft a QB at 3 and trade Rosen further on in the draft, etc). Cleveland really has has a lot of options, but with Rosen being a QB and being the best player in the draft in the opinion of many, Cleveland has the ability to take him at #1, auction him off, and either trade him for another QB, trade him for a bundle of picks/players and draft another QB at 3, or keep him and roll with it. But I see the Giants hiring Gettleman as GM as a good thing for our hopes of trading up.
  12. Rudolph please. I think he’s more interesting because of the system he plays in can skew things and because he plays in a conference that doesn’t really emphasize defense.
  13. I would prefer James Washington & Rashaad Penny. But I don’t mind the thought process. although I also expect a heavy dose of picks invested into the trenches. Especially if Tyrod or Glenn are dealt for any additional picks. (Tyrod likely is cut, but I could see Glenn getting them another 3rd)
  14. Please god, if you’re there god, let the Browns fall in love with Mayfield. Let them trade the 1st overall pick and take Mayfield at #4... Bills trade up and take Darnold.
  15. If they both come out, I see Cleveland easily taking Darnold over Rosen. And I wonder if his reported attitude doesn’t turn the Giants off as well. I wonder if they’d chance going with a Saquon Barkley and letting Rosen slide. Either way, at this point I don’t see Rosen going #1.
  16. The thing I like about Fumagalli is the height as well. 6’6”. All of our tight ends besides Logan Thomas are 6’3”, which isn’t very tall for a tight end and I’d like a big guy who can get up for some of those contested balls.
  17. Add Rudolph? I think he should be in the conversation with these two and I think he really fits what the team is looking for.
  18. Very simple. People see a team that got rid of “a lot of talent”, but improved, with a game managing QB who doesn’t turn the ball over. But they also don’t see that he can’t consistently get his team in the end zone.
  19. I think it’ll end up being Rudolph. As one person above stated, in the system they run, they’ll be looking for something different than what Mayfield and Allen offer; “Our OC has shown his resistance to adjusting his scheme to fit the talent at hand. Mayfield is a 5-7 step downfield passer and Dennison offense is 1st based upon the 3 step drop.” And Allen hasn’t shown enough touch in my opinion to become a solid west coast rhythm passer. Rudolph is big, can see the middle of the field, seems to be able to hit the out routes towards the sidelines, and is large enough to see all his routes and throw over the middle of the field.
  20. And I think McDermott & Beane might too... TE- Troy Fumagalli- best hands of anyone in this years Draft, and the guy only has 9 fingers!!!! I think he could be a guy that falls to the 3rd or even 4th if he doesn’t do great at the combine, but he’s a gamer. RB- Rashaad Penny- also just seems like a gamer. I’d love to get him in the 3rd and Fumagalli in the 4th. LB- Josey Jewell- he’s a real leader, seems like a surefire tackler. Not the fastest guy, but I feel like he plays smart and plays angles correctly which make him play faster than his straight line speed. He’d be a better fit in the middle for us than Preston Brown long term. Also could probably be taken in the late 2nd at the earliest? Not sure how he’s rated. i also believe all 3 are seniors? McDermott & Beane seem to like drafting seniors. Thoughts on these guys?
  21. Probably correct. I’ll admit I’m hoping he’ll come out. Just to add another name to the mix. This will surely be a fun Draft this year. Lots of quarterbacks likely to go high and we’ve got 4 picks in the first two rounds.
  22. I wonder if the advisory board takes the rest of the class at that position into consideration. There’s what, 7-8 other qb’s who could go in the first two rounds (Rosen/Darnold/Allen/Jackson/Mayfield/Rudolph/Falk/Finley). Again, I’m not sure, just asking.
