  1. I think if they have a 2nd or 3rd to use, they’ll go for James Washington. Senior, captain, deep ball threat, something a bit different from the rest of our receiving corps.
  2. OBJ doesn’t go to the Bills in that deal. He goes to the Browns... I like it, a lot.
  3. Fumagalli from Wisconsin could be a later round pickup that I’d like. Very sure hands, despite the fact he’s missing a finger. And that alone will probably drop his stock a bit more than it should as well.
  4. if He is traded or retires, I’d be thrilled. Whatever it takes to get him out of New England. He’s a big part of Brady’s ability to stay so good for so long.
  5. I’m hoping Rosen falls. Bills have a first hand account of the guy from their OT McDermott, who played with Rosen at UCLA. I think Cleveland will go Darnold, Jets Allen, Giants will take Barkley, Broncos will go for a different position, maybe Minkah Fitzpatrick or Quenton Nelson. Make a move to jump Miami and take Rosen. I dont think quite as many QB’s are going as early as we think.
  6. I’ll get about as creative as not trading for Beckham Jr. I understand he’s an immense talent. But all I see and hear is him talking about himself. The team (nor I personally), want that on my team. They just spent a year ditching most of the guys they felt had that type of attitude, or the injury history that Beckham has as well (see: Dareus, Marcell and Watkins, Sammy).
  7. I’d rather see them bring in Maclin. Prefer the speed.
  8. I think the difference between what Rosen has played like so far, and the Bradford comparison, and the talk of statuesque, is different from guys like Brady and Manning in one important way. Brady and Manning have a great ability to “negotiate the pocket”, stepping up, or right or left at the correct moment to give their blockers a better angle, or make the angle more difficult for the Rusher. Bledsoe was the same in that regard. He would just stand there and stare down the field, but would never step up or to the side or back at the right moment to help extend the play. Its not about mobility as much as it is about timing and angles.
  9. The “tear-down” last season that included the trade-down at the draft, the Watkins & Darby trades, etc etc. was largely seen as a way to go after a QB. And I agreed for the most part. But what if we’ve all just been wrong in our assumption. What if they just did it simply in order to re-make the roster in their image? Maybe a piece of that is s new QB, but not the focal point. Just kind of weird because if we see all of this made and they dont they don’t make that final push to get into the top-6ish to get a top-3 QB, maybe it’s because that was never their main point in the first place.
  10. I don’t think Cleveland will trade out either, but it’s a thought experiment. I really don’t think the Giants will trade out though. They seem set on taking one of Rosen/Chubb/Barkley/Nelson at #2.
  11. Option 1: 1st Round- 4th overall Select One of Allen/Mayfield Option 2: 1st Round- 12th overall Select One of Jackson/Rudolph ****AND**** 1st Round- 22nd overall- (Vander Esch) 2nd Round-53rd overall- (James Washington) 2nd Round-56th overall- (Harrison Phillips) (My choices can be altered to suit your preferences) My basic premise is that I don’t believe we can get to #2. The highest we’d likely be able to get is #4. This would also likely cost booths 1st’s and both 2nd’s this year. It could possibly be more, but I’d assume that would be the bare minimum. I’m also going to assume that Darnold and Rosen will go in the first three picks.
  12. They’ll see who takes their offer out of the guys they’ve had in. And then they’ll also draft another guy. Milano, Humber, Alexander, UFA, Pick, Stanford. A couple undrafted free agents, as well as maybe one other draft pick and that’ll be who they go to camp with.
  13. Well, I’m not the biggest fan. But if they pick him somehow, at least it’ll be interesting
  14. At the same time, if you’re willing to take a QB at 21, why not just take him at 12, especially if 4 others are gone by the time you pick at 12??? You don’t take the chance. That’s 9 chances for another team to either take a guy, or someone to trade up and grab a guy. How pissed would we all be if we found out the Bills liked Rudolph but the Steelers or Patriots traded up to 20 or 21 to grab Rudolph and he ended up being good? If he’s your guys, take him. Same thing with any other guy and moving to 2. If they think that highly of a guy, go get him.
  15. At least he did it before the draft, and not after, now they know they definitely need a couple... regardless. Hope for the best for Zay and that he can bounce back. Seems like a good kid.
  16. Except he won’t be drafted at 28yrs of age like Weeden was. Besides both having gone to Oklahoma state, I don’t see it.
  17. I was just trying to point out that all of these guys have warts. You’re correct, I might be understating Rudolph’s lack of arm strength. But at the same time, he seems to have the greatest success of any of these with his deep ball. But again, that could be because of his receiver talent. I just think all these guys have their warts. My feeling is that Darnold is the only one worth trading up for. As for Jackson, you make a good point, he’s an exciting athelete and has put up numbers. Ultimately though, I think the Bills are looking for certain things that will lower some of these guys on their boards. Mayfield’s height, along with his need to work from a lot of play action or roll outs in order to make plays (look at Georgia’s 2nd half keeping him restrained in the pocket). Also I think his personality will clash with what Beane and McDermott are looking for. Regarding Jackson, I look at Beane’s comments about wanting a quarterback who stands tall in the pocket and makes the throws. Now I’m not saying Jackson can’t become that guy. But with the type of athleticism he has, you have to wonder if he’ll ever really throw consistently “from the pocket”. He’ll always look for the run because ultimately it’s his greatest weapon. The greatest ability is availability, according to McDermott & Beane. That alone should knock Rosen down a few pegs on their board. He’s had the shoulder injury that kept him out most of his sophomore season, and two separate concussions this season as well. Allen’s innacuracy seems to be his greatest issue. Saw some scouts saying that it’s overblown, so he’ll likely go higher than the Draftniks and us fans believe he will. He has an incredible skill set but is really raw. Again, I’m just spitballing at what I assume the Bills Brass is thinking. I just feel that they’ll appreciate what a guy like Rudolph has done. Although Beane has discussed the importance of arm strength and being able to “make all the throws”. And that’s where I think Rudolph’s arm isn’t as big an issue as others. It’s not the strongest, but he can make all the throws.
  18. Depth is depth. I’ll take it. Takes an immediate draft need off the front burner.
  19. Is if Darnold doesn’t go #1. If Darnold is there at #2, Bills will do whatever possible to move up. If not I don’t think they’ll be high enough on anyone to trade into the top5. Just my 2 cents
  20. Does anyone know if Beane was there? I believe Rudolph and Rosen had Pro-days in the same day, was curious if anyone knew if they chose one to go to, or made both in a day or split the scouts into groups and sent some to each pro day?
