  1. Who isn’t playing in an “easy spread”. Jackson, Rosen and Allen. Allen hasn’t show. To be accurate in a pro system, and it probably won’t translate. Rosen has succeeded in it but doesn’t show good pocket movement, hence why he takes big hits and gets injured (kind of reminds me of Romo). USC has been renowned for using a pro-style offense but this year if you watch they used plenty of spread and RPO stuff. Mayfield is basically an air raid QB as well. Jackson played more of a pro style, but again. Louisville still uses a lot RPO to get Jackson out of the pocket as well. So the “spread” excuse doesn’t really work for me.
  2. Moving to 12 might end up being the right spot to take him. Browns, Giants, Jets, Broncos, Dolphins could all take Quarterback. 4 will likely be gone. All of these guys have major questions, Rudolph might have the highest floor, besides Rosen. Darnold- turnovers, Fumbles plus the knowledge that his small hands have lead to fumbles, might make him a bad fit in snowy buffalo. Plus he’s likely Cleveland’s guy at #1. Rosen- Injury history, specifically concussions, could be red flags. Allen- Innacuracy could be a major red flag. It’s highly believed accuracy is one trait that can’t really be improved from college to pros, you either have the touch or you don’t. Mayfield- On field attitude, off-field issues, height could all be red flagged. Played in Spread could also be a red flag, but that’s always difficult to tell and NFL is moving more towards spread & RPO’s anyways. Just look at Goff and Wentz’s offenses this past season. Jackson- Athletic ability may concern teams that he’ll always look for the run as opposed to keeping his eyes downfield. Rudolph- Biggest concern is lack of arm strength. But really, his arm is strong enough, it’s not Chad Pennington or anything like that. Other weakness is that he came from a spread, but again, that seems to be where the league is going anyways. To me he has the highest floor besides Rosen.
  3. Or they like someone like Rudolph or Jackson enough that they knew 4 qb’s would go in the top-10 and wanted to be at 12 to land a guy who they still believe can be a franchise QB.
  4. I’m not only basing it on height. I’m just saying that it’s definitely preferable to have a taller quarterback. And yes Jurgenson and Tarkenton were under 6’ tall, at the same time a 300lb lineman was unheard of...
  5. I understand your hope in Mayfield, but at the same time, his attitude, which will be key to overcoming physical shortcomings (in the case, his height), is also another question mark. So what I see if a definite weakness that is supposed to be “covered up” or minimized by a question mark, that could totally blow up in your face. to me he’s the biggest question mark of all the quarterbacks. Allen may be boom/bust, but I think his low point is a more mobile Flacco, where his high end is a less mobile Cam Newton.
  6. Great talent. Personality doesn’t bother me. Concussions scare me.
  7. I wouldn’t call it “lazy”. There’s two quarterbacks who have been successful that are at his height. Brees and Wilson. And Wilson’s athletic ability sets him apart from almost every other quarterback in the league right now. Almost every guy that height has issues becoming successful in the NFL.
  8. Jewell could be a good option. Senior who can basically plug and play. Not the most athletic guy, but his ability to read plays and think the game allow him to be ahead of the game and make stops
  9. I like him, but trading up for a QB, combined with drafting LB’s, makes me think Phillips won’t be available for them.
  10. I love the size and length on this guy. 260lbs, but 6’6”... damn
  11. I’ll take this over drafting Guice at 12 or something past regimes would’ve done. Ivory is a solid experienced hard-nosed guy. Cadet showed flashes, especially catching out of the backfield. Jones showed well as a special teamed last season. Marcus Murphy showed a bit of flash in limited snaps in the Miami game, but maybe he has upside. Overall im fine with it. This is a league where guys continuously become good running backs out of nowhere, so I’m happy that they’re covering their bases in order to go hunt for a quarterback.
  12. Works for me. He’ll compete for a spot in camp.
  13. Here’s my question if anyone knows. Of the money they have left, I believe 10-11 of it was “rolled over” from extra cap space in 2017. Let’s say the Bills spend to the point where at the end of the season they have the same amount in cap space, basically what’s left is what was rolled over from 2017 into 2018. so here’s my question, can that unspent cap space be rolled over again into 2019? Or can it only be “rolled” once? Sorry if in explaining this oddly...
  14. He doesn’t seem like that kind of guy in general. He plays the game well but doesn’t mean he has to have a type A 100mph personality all the time. As long as he gets the job done I don’t care. Plus every team needs a few guys who keep the reins on emotion (Jerry Hughes, I’m looking at you).
  15. The list of remaining guys that I’ve compiled looks like this (obviously I may have missed some or put down some guys as they signed or something like that). But of who’s left, who do you want? Me personally? I’d like to see Gaines brought back on a one year deal if possible. Also, I think Maclin could be a good addition, they went after him last year and he almost picked us, maybe now he’ll see the writing on the wall. Also for linebacker, Minter from Cincinnati could be a decent, inexpensive add. And, if it was for a really good price, I’d take a shot at Eric Ebron if he is a “process” guy. Lastly, I’d take a shot at Cameron Fleming. Always good to take a guy away from New England, plus he’s still young and has upside. What’s Left: WR- Jeremy Maclin WR- Michael Crabtree WR- Terrelle Pryor WR- Jordan Matthews WR- Mike Wallace TE- Eric Ebron TE- Martellus Bennett OC- Ryan Jensen OL- Justin Pugh OT- Cameron Fleming OG- Jack Mewhort OC- John Sullivan OC- Mike Pouncey DT- Ndamukong Suh DT- Sheldon Richardson LB- Preston Brown LB- Connor Barwin LB- Lamarr Houston LB- Brian Cushing LB- Jerrell Freeman LB-Derrick Johnson LB- Jon Bostic LB- Kevin Minter LB- Gerald Hodges CB- EJ Gaines CB- Rashaan Melvin CB- Kyle Fuller (Trans. Tagged) DB- Tyrann Mathieu S- Kenny Vaccaro S- Eric Reid
  16. McCarron. Just for the fact he was the free agent besides Cousins that had the most upside to go with being healthy. Keenum could be argued, but he’s also around 30. Bridgewater might have more upside but his health is a major concern. He also gives us the ability to draft whoever we like the most and let them sit for a year and learn the game.
  17. I have a feeling he comes back here on a 1yr deal.
  18. I like this a lot. I think they’re doing most of what they can for the defense via free agency, and they’ll go mostly offense in the draft. Bring young pieces around new franchise QB. But as stated, a MLB and some DB depth would be nice as well.
  19. Any numbers yet? Doesn’t it just seem kind of odd to wait this long?
  20. They have White & Davis as their starters. Re-sign Leonard Johnson, sign one more guy who can be a slot type guy, and draft a guy late (6th round?)
  21. I’m not a huge Allen guy. The accuracy issues scares me. But being a young guy, who had to play in a pro-system, with a bad team around him, and not having the greatest footwork, I wonder if they see him being really talented and just needing to work on mechanics, which they can teach him. Im not sure, but at this point, I’m just trusting Beane, McDermott and their front office. i thought trading Sammy & Darby was a tank route. It might’ve been, but they also coached up the group they had, and made smart, under the Radar signings, showing they have a good ability to evaluate talent. I trust their process.
  22. KC is going to regret this and the Hitchens deal in a couple years.
  23. Bad move imo. $9M for a 3-4 inside linebacker? That’s a waste of cap space. He should be around $6 at the most.
  24. Exactly. There’s no source of information. They just put down teams with needs at DT. Nothing new. Bills won’t bring in a guy like Suh. He’s exactly what they don’t want in terms of character.... although they kept Incognito so maybe I’m way off ?
  25. I feel like Quarterback is one position where the exception is made to prove the rule. Get your guy, sign a vet and basically red shirt the rookie.
