  1. What I’m thinking is this... 1. New England 2. Pittsburgh 3. Jacksonville -All virtual locks, no way we catch any of them. AFC West: Root for the Chargers to win the division. Pushes the Chiefs out of the division, who we beat head to head. Baltimore: Hope the lose another game somehow (Finale against the Bengals?), but if not, I’m not too worried, they’ll likely be the #5 seed. Tennessee: They play in San Francisco, and then a couple of home games against the Rams & the Jaguars. Could easily see them losing all 3, going 8-8 and missing out on the playoffs. Mariota has been bad and they don’t seem to be in sync and Mularkey seems to hitting all the wrong notes Hopefully we could see a 4-8 of... #4 Chargers #5 Ravens #6 Bills #7 Chiefs #8 Titans
  2. Exactly. Browns, Giants, Broncos. That’s possibly three QB’s right there. Although I believe the Broncos will go after Cousins. Just seems like an Elway thing to do and as their defense ages, they want to win now, so they could be more likely to go after a veteran QB.
  3. I think I’d be happiest with any of Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, Jackson, in that order. Wouldn’t be thrilled with Allen, but I’d just accept it as Buffalo not being able to have nice things. No thank you to Rudolph. He’s too big to have such a soft arm, somethings not right there.
  4. They need more than a QB. But I’d rather go and get the QB now. The other pieces can be had in the next couple years. If you get a guy like Darnold, he’s what, 21? You have that long to build around him. And there already are some nice pieces here (White could be a #1, Dawkins a true LT, Zay Jones a solid #2-3 slot receiver, Benjamin a good, not great WR 1, Milano seems to look like a solid starter). But come on. Trade even all 3 1st’s is the next two years to move up. You still have 2 2nd’s & a 3rd this year alone. You might even be able to move Tyrod and get a decent pick (3rd rounder? Maybe even a 2nd from a team like Jacksonville if they’re dumb enough?) and you’ll have money in another year once you pull out from the dead weight of the Dareus, Tyrod, Glenn, etc contracts.
  5. Here’s hoping this leads to them going after AJ McCarron, and either drafting Barkley at #1 or trading down for even more picks... after all, its the Browns.
  6. I have a feeling Cleveland will go for Rosen. Just a hunch. He seems more ready to start immediately, and will battle Kizer for the job. And who knows, if they fired the GM and Hue Jackson likes McCarron enough, maybe they go for him, Draft Barkley #1 and wait till their pick from the Texans if they like a guy like Mayfield. Could definitely see them going the “Dallas/Jacksonville” route, or even trading down with a team like the Bills, and they’d have potentially 3 1st’s and 3 2nd’s this year. That’s 6 guys to inject into a really really bad lineup immediately. They might believe that they need that much more talent before they can take a QB. Remember, this is the Browns.
  7. Agree with this wholeheartedly. I believe they’ll try to go after Darnold if he comes out, he seems like a McDermott kind of guy (would “gritty” be the right word?)
  8. I could totally see the Giants being the type of team to take him at #2 and forego a QB because they think Webb might be the guy and Eli has juice left. Just seems like something they’d do. But who knows with whoever takes over the team.
  9. I would put the over/under at 4 or 4.5, and I’d take the over, especially if Darnold comes out. Rosen Darnold Mayfield Jackson Allen Rudolph I think at least the first 5 will go in the top 32 for sure. With Rudolph it just depends how many go ahead of him and who comes out for the draft.
  10. Why do you think so? Just out of curiousity. And if not Darnold who do you like, Mayfield? Jackson? Rosen? All of them? None of them? Personally i I think it’s close between Darnold and Rosen for top of the class. Rosen is probably more pro ready, whereas if Darnold is your guy, you might want to have a vet in front of him for half a season.
  11. How about Pugh from the Giants. Sign him for guard money, play him st right tackle. also like Lotulelei, Poe, Logan as Defensive tackles. I think they’ll go after one or two defensive backs, even if they re-sign Gaines, in order to gain some depth. One guy I think they could go after is Travis Carrie from the Raiders. Can play corner or safety, outside or in the slot, and is still a young guy.
  12. Actually he publicly denied that. now, it might be true, but he still denied it, at least publicly.
  13. Peterman. I’m in tank mode. Hoping San Francisco gets the 2nd pick and we can trade up to #2 in order to get Rosen or Darnold.
  14. Probably, but if it’s with the Giants, who could use a QB, or the 49’ers, who will likely get other offers, you’re going to have to beat those offers. And by three picks I didn’t mean 1 for each of the next three years, I meant both 1st’s that we own this year, along with next season’s 1st rounder as well. Maybe it’s an overpayment, but you do what you need to do to get up there. Throw in a side piece like a 2019 4th Round Pick as well, add a player like a John Miller if they want a project piece as well. Basically whatever we need to get up there and get our guy.
  15. Fully expecting all 3 1st’s to be moved to get into the top-2. They’ll take whichever of Darnold/Rosen is there.
  16. I really wonder if they don’t package all 3 1st’s and add a 2019 2nd or 3rd that will get us #1 overall. the Browns could then move back up if there was a specific guy they wanted. But if Darnold comes out and the word is he doesn’t want to play there, I could see them moving out of the spot. if San Francisco is #2 you could see a similar scenario if Cleveland takes Darnold/Rosen at #1 and the other is left at #2. if the Giants are at #2 I think you give up whatever necessary to make them move out of that spot. They have a ton of holes, they have Eli for another year or two, and they can grab a guy later in the 1st (Allen, Mayfield, Jackson, Rudolph or whoever slips). Regardless, I have a feeling that McBeane knows they need to move into the top 2 and will pay the necessary cost to move up that far.
  17. I have a feeling Eli stays for next year now that the coach and GM are gone. New group will likely let him stay another year with a young guy sitting behind him for a year or so.
  18. Maybe, but if he just tells the Browns “hey, I REALLY don’t want to be a part of your team”, Cleveland will know to either take Rosen or trade out. And I think the idea of being a top-5 Pick (probably top-3 at the latest), is too strong of a pull. Also, the kid seems extremely competitive and I could see him wanting to test himself at the next level.
  19. I think there’s a couple things here. 1. None of those guys were expecting what happened to happen. Could be they were caught off guard. 2. I could see McDermott being the type that preaches to his guys not to do any “extra curriculars” for fear of getting penalties. The sad thing is that they ended up with more penalties on the play anyways. Don’t get me wrong, the game was out of reach, especially with our QB’s, but I just don’t see the point. We get the Pats again in a few weeks in Foxboro, I expect any pressure on Brady to be followed through, and same with Gronk. The defense will be lightibg guys up. Might be a roughing penalty or something like that, but they won’t go as far as Gronk did. Also, let’s not forget the main thing here. The person we should be upset with is Gronkowski. I’ve hated the Pats as long as I’ve been alive, division rival and all that. But Gronk was always one guy I appreciated with them because he was a jovial, fun loving, nonchalant guy who personality is the exact opposite of the Brady/Belicheck duo. The local ties also made me happy to see the guy do well... That’s gone now. Totally. The suspension is a decent move, I wish it were two games. And if his appeal lowers it to a simple fine then I’ll be more upset with the league than anything. That act has no place in the game.
  20. I am of the mentality that they should find their guy, and do what they need to do to get that guy. I think Rosen ends up going #1, he has a certain confident, brash attitude that I believe Cleveland needs. San Francisco has a lot of picks already, but has a lot of needs. If they move down they’ll be able to hopefully fortify the O-Line, get a receiver or two, and add to the back 7 of their defense (maybe 2 linebackers, and two defensive backs), in the first three rounds. Looking at the 49’ers they need the following: RB- Hyde is a UFA I believe. WR- their best guy right now seems to be Goodwin... OT- at least for depth, both their tackles have been injured this season OG- interior line is trash C- need to replace Kilgore who’s aging OLB- Foster is in the middle but the outside is bad OLB- Again, outside is bad CB- Corners aren’t good CB- again, they’re not good FS- also not good, a 2017 7th rounder is the starter here... SS- Reid was shifted to LB for a bit of the season, and is also a UFA So besides Garoppolo at QB, Goodwin as a slot guy, Foster at one of the linebacker spots, and a decent highly drafted group of defensive linemen, this team needs to make additions at virtually every other position. Make ke the move with the 49’ers and get your guys at #2, either Darnold or Rosen, take your pick.
  21. Thats your opinion. Your entitled to it. I don’t have much faith in Mayfield’s ability translating to the NFL
  22. I want Sam Darnold. I want to trade it all to the 49’ers for Darnold Or Rosen. Whichever isn’t taken #1
  23. I agree. And I think Beane and McDermott agree. It’s why they accumulated so much Draft capital. They know it’s a quarterback league. They had Cam Newton in a division with guys like Matt Ryan, Drew Brees and Jameis Winston. San Francisco is in prime position to move down as well.
  24. I think Bortles has proven an inability to lead an offense... lots of mental errors that lead to turnovers. Cousins will be extremely expensive. Not sure they’re interested in paying for a QB yet. I’d rather see them put in all their chips for Darnold or Rosen. I get a funny feeling they might. If they can get to 7-8 wins with their current roster, without an elite quarterback, imagine what they could do with a potentially elite qb
