  1. Can.'t wait to see if McD wins his first challenge of the year! And as others have said, let Allen loose, cute and precise stuff, not his strength WHAT! Challenge not accepted!
  2. What a show! I just love the kid! Big props to the defense too! Even the refs are on our side for once ha ha
  3. Yeah but ALL running games and running attacks don't kill it every week. If McCoy is injured, fine, sit him, but to say he doesn't contribute, come on now. Anyway I feel we need to see some TWO backs sets on offense and use Shady more for the passing game, especially in the first half while Ivory pounds it. If, if, if, the OLine does run bock better then the defense should be softened up on the 2nd half to use him more down the middle. Why can't Daboll keep the defenses guessing a bit?
  4. And the video game tournament killing. All the pics of the killer I saw in the media you saw him with the Bills logo wall in the background. And IDK if it's old news, but I only read recently that McVeigh lost it and felt pushed over the edge probably after the 3rd Bills Superbowl defeat! Seriously, all those stories in a few months! I've never seen this on any other team in any sport whatsoever. And the year is far from over! But as for THIS one, to me McCoy is innocent til proven guilty. He sure should pick his women better though, whatever what follows!
  5. Besides the italics, I agree But I still see many good signs with Allen. It's crystal clear Mayfield has way better mastery of the game at this time, but if Josh comes even 90% close to him, with his physical attributes he will be a FORCE
  6. I hear ya. Al the praise on Darnold while Allen is dismissed out of hand by the media. To all the Allen haters, didn't he look much better than both Darnold and Tyrod? Like way better? Mayfield is the real deal though. Much better mastery of the game. But who knows in time if Allen picks it up, he has more physical tools.
  7. I was a TT fan for the first two years with the Bills. No tears for a guy paid $18M this year. Sure the ego is badly bruised but he had 3 years as a starter with the Bills and got hand delivered the #1 spot in Cleveland. All the while making millions and millions. Much better than being a backup in Baltimore and fading out of the game. He just didn't cut it. He can be a decent backup anywhere for years and collect some more $$$. Not the hardest of life on this Earth!
  8. Would Palmer be interested in a two week stint? I mean NFL team can hire outside "advisers" too.
  9. So, who thinks Allen is such a bust? So far, Darnold has certainly not looked better, many picks not taken by the Browns and bad stats overall even with a rolling running game that Allen hasn't had yet, and well, any of you miss Tyrod? Browns OLine can't run block at all, worst than the Bills. I like the Jets doing the quick toss to their RB running to the side, that'd be perfect for Shady (reading this Daboll?). And the indiscipline shown by the Jets, ouch. The wipe after the TD and giving the receiver the ball on the sideline on a 4th down, that's as undisciplined as it gets. The 3rd downs and 8-10-14 that seems so long for so many teams is just another short down for Allen. Yeah he has been inaccurate last game, but look at his strong points too will ya? I predict Mayfield will be damn good, if not in the second half, at least over the rest of his career. I watched him in the preseason and he's sharp as any rookie I've seen.
  10. Yeah so dumb but you brainiac can't even grasp a damn post. I did put I'd take results like Packers or Saints over the Bills drought. And yeah, I'd take 5 out of 14 instead of 1 in 17, genius. The point of this thread, explained for you, is that many fans think if the Bills have at last a franchise QB, all is settled, while besides with Peyton and Brady, no team has been automatic for playoffs and legit contenders even if they did have superstar QBs. Keeping with arch-rivals, Marino anyone? And yeah I'll still take a franchise QB on the team anytime. Man you're dense.
  11. I usually dislike all these so-called journalists that just want to dig dirt, real or imagined, and sell books like leeches and vultures. But hey, anything to attack the Patriots fortress ha ha. That being said, I want to see the Bills beat the Brady-Bellichick duo while they are strong. Not because Father Time hit them in the knees.
  12. Drinking the Bills Koolaid? Watch out! It's addictive
  13. I'm begging Daboll to put both Ivory and Shady at the same time for a good chunk of the plays! Keep the defenses guessing. And pound Ivory down the middle in the first half while using Shady in the flat and as a receiver. Save most of his runs down the middle for the 2nd half. With the many TE and solid RB stable, he should copy some of the formations of the Bears. Get creative dammit!
  14. A lot of us have high hope Josh Allen might at last be that all elusive “franchise QB” that would help the Bills be a winning team for years to come. And I’m one of them. But Rivers again dismantling the Bills have me realizing this: can anyone doubt he is a franchise, elite QB? His play and stats are amazing. While Peyton, Brady and Rodgers were the top guys, Brees and Rivers were certainly close and among a lot of the Top 5 for the last DECADE. Yet the Chargers made the playoffs only 5 times in the 14 seasons Rivers was there… Sobering fact you need more than a great QB, how much awesome it is. I think Rodgers is the best, yet the Packers success pales compare to the Cheatriots, and even to Manning’s Colts and Broncos. I’d take the Packers and Saints’ records and SB win over the Bills’ drought, but the point is that a great QB is not the complete answer. And some teams did win the Superbowl with “manager type” QBs. Anyway, even if just for entertainment’s sake, let’s hope Allen becomes a star! But that maybe not be the final piece of the puzzle, just a good chunk of it.
  15. Fixed this As for this AB story, clickbait and media dishonesty and stirring crap. Who is surprised? BUT him not showing up and his overall pouting... why is the WR position so filled with divas? Wanting the ball and pouting for it, yes, fine. All the rest though? So common
  16. No it's not. But can you cut the kid some slack? It was his first start! And he is very green, not as much college experience as other rookies. Damn people are impatient. If it's still like that 10 games in, then we worry. And to me this stat doesn't say it all. Rodgers and Big Ben have made a career out of extending plays. Of course that was not the case with Allen but stats don't tell the whole story. And if you want to use stats, for all his inaccuracy and slow reads issues, he was still among the top QBs for average yards per pass and per pass play!
  17. IMO the OLine is below average but far from the worst out there. Though they are not that far (doh!). The lack of running lanes worry me more than the past protection so far. No running game = even more pressure on Allen!
  18. I for one completely understand why they want to protect QBs. They often are the stars of the game, and people pay tickets and watch TV to see stars. But what Clay did on this one, damn, that should never be a penalty! WTH
  19. He really was inaccurate yesterday. I would have tacked it as a bad day but for aaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllll the posts on here mentioning it. Seriously, I didn't see nothing to worry about in preseason or game 1. This one, way more. This time he was. But still, let's see. He still got 245 yards. Take out "garbage time" and it was still 200 yards, with a subpar supporting cast. So even with issues, he can be effective! And overall I still think he showed more good than bad, yet he was inaccurate. So his potential is still way up there. Crazy.
  20. Bingo. All this talk of McD having lost the lockeroom because of Davis. WHat? Dude was bad and quit in the worst possible way. If there are signs the coach is losing his team, that won't be it.
  21. It sure was. But was it really because McD made the calls? If so, that remains! But it would surprising it's too that extent. I mean, like you mention it was night and day. It was like Roman. Great strategies and designs, bad game day calls. It was much better with Lynn calling the plays, but Roman had designed them.
  22. Fair. But let's see what Watson does this year. As for Dak and Zak, it's the media making them superstars because their OLine was so damn dominant. I don't think they suddenly went from studs to average because of 2nd year blues or whatever, or the defense "figured them out". Their Oline was really that good. I recall a a game when they ran down the middle for 8-10 yards a play, and the coaches still had to outsmart themselves and throw a pass. Mahomes has killed it today, but it's fairplay to think what Allen could do with a year on the bench, with good coaches, solid Oline and offensive weapons. Anyway, point is, no way for now to anoint Josh "THE GUY" and certainly not saying he's a bust!
  23. Get it right , get it right away... that was his very first game as a starter, 5 and a half quarters. Damn people are impatient. Dak had a superb OLine his first year, no fair comparison. Wentz is awesome but you know, surrounded by Superbowl quality talent. Wilson and Watson, OK, fair. Still, it was the first game of a guy supposedly not ready. We waited for Tyrod to finally grasp throwing with anticipation, over the middle, etc. and it never happened. So maybe Josh will reach his ceiling fast... but give the kid a chance. I can't believe all the negative Nancys (not the post quoted) on here saying he is a bust already! Are you mad? You just come to spew vomit? GTFO with that non-sense. If he is a bust, it's not from this game anyone will know it. Not anyone can know from this one game. He looked like a rookie that belongs in the NFL. What more you expect at this stage with his surrounding cast, really?
  24. People that stick to an agenda.... He hasn't bee injured last year, and you mean a 22 yo Shady would have come out just fine from this? Ridiculous
  25. He looked like a rookie out there all right, but a super talented one! He missed some blitzes, misread some plays, looked left first when he should gone right, etc. All these you sense he can and will clean up his act with experience so it is exciting. Even in preseason he had shown he could master the clock. Hell he's way ahead of Tyrod in two minute drills! He is tough to bring down, which this time cost an INT and should have also caused a fumble. Still, overall, that should help. As for the more worrisome aspects, it's the first game of his 5 outings so far I found his inaccuracy troubling, as it seems it might be a recurring pattern. Before this game, I felt it was just needless parroting of this supposed trait. While he throws darts and bombs as good as anyone, we don't see many throws with anticipation, if any. Is it something he'll learn overtime or never be good at? No one can tell now. His high score on the Wonderlic test makes me hopefully he'll quickly improve. Exciting.
