  1. Give me Rashaan Evans at 12 and Mason Rudolph at 22. Sit Rudolph down behind McCarron for the next 2 years.
  2. I think Josh Allen goes 1, I think he is the best prospect in the draft. There are huge concerns surrounding him, but his ceiling is Ben Roethlisberger mixed with Johnny Unitas. No other QB in the draft has as much potential as Allen, if he is handled right, he has a better future than any other prospect in the draft..
  3. I don't think there is any chance the Browns take Barkley at 1, not anymore anyways. The Giants may very well take a QB and the Jets are going to do the same, so two QBs can be off the board by the time the Browns pick again at 4. Will they really settle for the 3rd best prospect? That would be disasterous IMO.
  4. Man, the Jets gave up a lot for that pick. I hope we have a shot at Josh Allen at this point, maybe we wait and see if one of the top 3-4 fall to 12 or maybe we have plans for Rudolph or Jackson at 22.
  5. That's why he is a darkhorse, imo. I think there is a chance Baker Mayfield slides as well. It's also a darkhorse choice for us not to trade up.
  6. Let's hypothetically say that we don't go QB at 12 (highly unlikely), but let's pretend. Rashaan Evans is my favorite non-QB prospect in the entire draft. Forget Haloti Ngata, I want Ray Lewis. Guy is intense, incredibly explosive, he will be the best LB in the draft and he would fill a huge void on defense.
  7. Rashaan Evans is extremely violent though, he is like a heat seeking missle out there. I do like Smith, but Evans has this element of angriness and explosion that I just love about his game. Very intimidating.
  8. That's way too much compensation for #4. I could see #12, #53 and a 2019 2nd for #4 and a 2019 3rd, but not what you suggested, too much.
  9. I like Vander Esch. No problems with him if Evans is gone. My favorite 3 LBs are: 1.) Rashaan Evans 2.) Leighton Vander Esch 2.) Josey Jewell There are higher rated prospects, I just like those three guys the most.
  10. AJ McCarron 10/10: I don't think he will be an all-star, but the price to risk to reward ratio is very appealing. He signed for next to nothing, he has upside as a starter, he also makes us less desperate going into the draft. This is my favorite move of the off-season, once again there is no way at all this is a bad signing, no risk in this at all. Tyrod trade 8/10: A 3rd for him was genius on Beane's part, but it was a risky move. Had McCarron signed elsewhere, we would only have Nathan Peterman on our roster and that would make us very vulnerable going into the draft, but I'm glad it worked out. Star Lotulelei 7/10: Fills a tremendous need for us and he is getting paid half of what Marcell Dareus was. Good signing, paid great money to a good player, but that's how free agency works, isn't it?
  11. How many Super Bowls did Marcus Stroud and John Henderson win? Got to go for a QB at 12.
  12. Feel free to add your own surprises! Let's try to mention players that are completely off of the radar only. #12.) Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming - Falls down the board all the way to 12 because of concerns about his accuracy and production. #22.) Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama - Roquan Smith and Tremaine Edmunds seem to get all the attention, but what about Evans? He has sideline to sideline speed and plays with violence. #53.) Billy Price, OC, Ohio State - He had a stellar career at OSU, but he tore his pec at the combine, he would have been a 1st round pick but slides to us due to injury. #56.) Connor Williams, OT, Texas - Pair him up with Dion Dawkins and our tackle situation is taken care of for the next 5 years. #65.) James Washington, WR, Oklahoma State - Buffalo adds their deep threat. Washington, a 2nd round prospect falls to us in the 3rd. #96.) Josey Jewell, LB, Iowa - A 3rd to 4th round prospect, Jewell becomes a starter day 1 and becomes one of the best linebackers in the draft.
  13. He is a good player for sure, not positive where he'll go, but he has really good speed for a big guy, he's an acrobat.
  14. They may be good players, but not difference makers. Definitely think they'll improve the team, but in order to get they elite guys, you have to draft those kind of players. There are exceptions of course, but most of the time in free agency you greatly overpay for what you get.
  15. I'm pretty underwhelmed by everything, but that's free agency for you in a nutshell. The really good players almost never make it to free agency in their prime, sure it happens, but it's definitely not the standard.
  16. I like Rashaan Evans more than I like any other LB in the draft, he has Patrick Willis potential. He is projected as a mid to late 1st round pick, I like him at 22. Josey Jewell is another guy I like, he is projected as a 3rd to 4th round pick, he would be awesome with that 65th pick we got from the Browns. I think it's very possible we walk away with Josh Allen or Baker Mayfield at 12 AND Rashaan Evans or Roquan Smith.
  17. Beats the hell out of some of these 100 million dollar contracts these other DTs are getting. I think he is going to be a good player for us. Hopefully the incentive laden deal lights a fire under his ass and to be honest, the salary cap is going to continue to rise, he won't really be getting paid that much in comparison to some of the upper echelon elite guys in a few years. It's a fair contract, if he doesn't quite live up to it, we can always restructure the deal slightly.
  18. Allen has high bust potential, but he has so much God given talent at the same time. He would have all the time in the world behind McCarron, I like that pick, but passing on Rashaan Evans at 22 would be big mistake, he would be our Luke Kuechly.
  19. Of course we're looking for a corner, name me one team that isn't, could never have enough corners.
  20. He was gushing over playing with Kyle Williams, I think playing with Kyle is going to elevate his game. I expect big things out of Star, I'm glad we got him.
  21. Wish Taylor and the Browns nothing but the best, really pulling for them to have a great draft and season.
  22. I like McCarron's upside, but at the end of the day I don't think he is the answer. I don't think Beane and McD feel that way either. You don't ignore every big name free agent QB on the market and sign the last guy that's left if you are serious about finding a long term starter and you sure as heck don't pay 5 million a year to be a 'starter'. It's pretty obvious we are going to draft a QB high and it's very likely that the rookie will start sometime during the 2018 season. Best case scenario is that McCarron is a gem and we have two good QBs on the roster.
