  1. It likely means Josh Allen isn't in the mix as well. Most people think he is a project and needs time to sit, same goes for Sam Darnold. Most likely down between Rosen and Mayfield IMO.
  2. All signs point to a trade up, wouldn't surprise me if a deal was already in place. No way we don't go after a QB if we aren't sure we can draft one of the top 2-3. This also means that they think their guy can start right away. Just speculating of course.
  3. 5 million is pretty much the norm for average DTs, the elite ones command around 15. Kyle is on his last leg and he is getting 6. Once again, I'd be very surprised if he doesn't command between 8 and 9. We're signing him to be the centerpiece of our defense.
  4. Maybe, I don't have a crystal ball or anything, I'm just trying to think from his perspective. Why box yourself into a 5 year deal if you're not being compensated well? I'm pretty sure it'll be over 7, I could see 8, but I think you're right that it's probably not 10.
  5. May not get 10, but why sign a 5 year deal if you're getting chump change? He is definitely getting paid more than KW and he got 6.
  6. I could live with that. Cool. If he is coming for 'peanuts', I hope it's a 2 year deal, he has some upside.
  7. I think your blood sugar is getting low.
  8. Getting a WR to come here is a tough sell, Nathan Peterman is the only QB on our roster.
  9. That's exactly my point, there was a market for him! Fans suggesting he got between 5-7 is highly unlikely, he probably would have taken a 1-2 year prove it deal if that were the case. He probably got between 8-10.
  10. Josh McCown or Tom Savage for me, draft Mayfield/Darnold/Rosen and be done with it.
  11. Josh McCown bounced around too, Kyle Orton etc. Tons of examples of that happening. Just because a player struggled in the past, it doesn't mean that they're never going to improve, especially at the QB position. And he was benched for Deshaun Watson, who is not your typical rookie. We need a backup, not a starter, use the 20 million Bradford got and sign 4-5 meat and potatoes players.
  12. On spotrac it says he is an UFA, I could be wrong though. I loved him in college, he would be great in spot duty for 2-3 games, good enough to hold down the fort and keep us in it. Case Keenum was a journeyman too until he blew up in Minnesota.
  13. Thank God, I really did not want him to come here, he will get paid like a starter and end up on IR midway through the season. I'm hoping for Tom Savage for pennies on the dollar, he would be a great backup behind whoever we draft.
  14. You don't sign a 5 year deal for 30 million, I could be wrong, but you would think that he would sign a 1-2 prove it deal if there was no market for him. 5 years in my mind means that he is being compensated nicely. This is all speculation of course.
  15. With any QB in free agency that's a virtual guarantee. Unless you sign Kirk Cousins or Case Keenum, if we move up to 3 and take Darnold/Rosen/Mayfield like many suspect us to do, the rookie will start right away.
  16. If we trade to 3, not a chance Cleveland passes on QB at 1.
  17. 1.) Cleveland - Sam Darnold 2.) NYG - Saquan Barkley 3.) Buffalo - Josh Rosen 4.) NYJ - Baker Mayfield
  18. I doubt we spend right up to the cap anyways, so what does overpaying by 500k to 1.5m to an all time great matter? At the end of the day, after FA is over, we'll probably have 15 million in cap space that's likely going to go up to 93 million next year.
  19. Slightly over paid, but he is worth it. He is an all time great and a very good #2 DT. Star will be taking the double teams, Kyle won't see double teams anymore and should be pretty productive.
  20. Thank God. Lotulelei and KW is a !@#$ing excellent DL. Hope we aren't done yet though.
  21. I think Nick O'Leary's value will skyrocket with a QB like Darnold or Rosen.
  22. There is nobody at all, at least not to my knowledge.
  23. That's a good point. +1 Kyle Williams bleeds red, white and blue. He is a veteran leader and brings a veteran presence and leadership qualities to the locker room.
