  1. His way of saying the coaches blew it sounds a lot like someone saying the players blew it.
  2. And they rushed 4. Obada is right there. He or another lineman should try to push Kelce over right off the snap then stand at the 5 yard line in case Mahomes tries to scramble.
  3. saying it’s execution is throwing the players under the bus. Just because he said “it’s on me” doesn’t mean he’s taking responsibility. If he had said “I should have told Bass to kick it short of the goal line, it’s on me” or “we shouldn’t have been defending the sideline when the other team has 3 timeouts, it’s on me” or “we shouldn’t have been rushing 4, it’s on me” or “the timeouts I took backfired and allowed KC to adjust to our coverage,it’s on me” THAT is taking responsibility. but saying “it’s execution” completely nullifies any claims that he’s taking responsibility.
  4. No, and even if you could excuse him for this aspect (Posters in the other thread have pointed out Bass takes a different approach to the ball when he’s trying to kick short) here are a few other things he did wrong in the last 13 seconds: having players covering the sidelines even though KC has 3 timeouts not pressing or even having the coverage close to kelce calling the timeout(s). Kelce said after the game that gave them time to recognize Bills coverage. pass rushing 4 players him blaming execution is throwing his players under the bus. It’s 100% his fault. Just because he says he takes responsibility doesn’t me he actually does. He can’t refuse to admit he was wrong and take responsibility. That’s not how it works.
  5. I just wanted to put all of the gripes in one place since there are multiple threads for each issue: 1) kicking it in the end zone not forcing them to waste some time 2) having players covering the sidelines even though KC has 3 timeouts 3) not pressing or even having the coverage close to kelce 4) calling the timeout(s). Kelce said after the game that gave them time to recognize Bills coverage. 5) pass rushing 4 players instead of idk maybe zero. 6) adding insult to injury in the post game presser by blaming “execution” and acting like they had “discussions” about all of the above. 7) uttering the words “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”
  6. Rex has made more AFCCGs
  7. I thought about this, but McDermott always says “execution”. I think he was just avoiding the question. He did it twice.
  8. Just promote Daboll. What McDermott did last night is unforgivable. His response to the questions about the last 13 seconds are insulting. We don’t deserve that as fans.
  9. Was just about to say this. Not only that, but the coach won’t even admit the mistakes. He was asked about the final 13sec 3 times in the post game presser, but refused to answer each time.
  10. I just don’t know if I’ll ever forgive McDermott for stealing that comeback from us. Think about how happy you were after that TD. He took that from us and now he won’t even admit his mistakes.
  11. …and another thing. Some people on this board spent the whole season saying McDermott’s decision making could be a liability in the playoffs. Then it happens in epic fashion and people like you are still gaslighting us. Well we were right and now you get at least another season of threads like this. If you don’t like it too bad.
  12. Listen to WGR 550 SportsRadio Latest Audio and more on Audacy. Music, news, sports and podcasts. It’s all here. https://go.audacy.com/DX8A8jNx5mb Go to 28:50 and 30:00. He refuses to answer the question about the squib kick. Claims he takes the blame for the loss but won’t admit that was a mistake.
  13. The difference is our mistakes were deliberate choices made by the coach, where the correct choice was obvious to everyone including the announcers.
  14. Shut up and don’t read them. This was the worst loss in Buffalo history because it was the result of multiple horrendous coaching choices with13 seconds left. Norwood didn’t choose to miss his kick. Let people vent/grieve the way they want. Go watch Ozark there are new episodes. No one is forcing you to read this message board. Also, the “playoffs 4 out of 5 years” line is getting old. Wanna know why? Because it’s said every time McDermott screws up and people have to defend him. It is said a lot, meaning he screws up a lot.
  15. Anyone replying with a position and not a player name is immediately disqualified imo
  16. He doesn’t?! I think you meant to say: “McDermott makes a lot of mistakes in most close games AND that was definitely the biggest ever”
  17. I can see that being #1 of course. However, I think last night was like if we had made the fg in SB 25, were celebrating, then the giants still had 13 seconds and marv had a stoke.
  18. Didn't know that. Do they reset the game clock?
  19. This is pretty damming for McDermott. Some will try to blame Frazier because it's an easier fix in their mind, but McDermott wilts in the biggest moments unlike Josh Allen. What can one respond to these criticisms? There are no excuses that are sufficient. But I know they will just say "playoffs 4 out of 5 years" over and over again.
  20. Good post, but they were in the AFC Championship game last year.
  21. They should have been literally tackled at the line of scrimmage for a couple plays until the time ran out. Oh and also squib kick.
  22. This is the worst Buffalo loss of all time. Wide right, no goal, and MCM were terrible, but they weren't due to a series of completely indefensible coaching blunders.
  23. Just like the Daboll haters throughout the season I pose the question to you: "At what point does McDermott get any criticism from you?"
  24. Crazy how many high-profile players in this game weren't even on their respective team before last season: Brady, Gronk, OBJ, Stafford, Von Miller, Fournette, Jalen Ramsay, am I missing anyone?
