  1. Traded down from 25 to 37 and got Woolen. Traded up for Parham (Saffold replacement and eventual Morse replacement) Then surprisingly Breece Hall lasted until the late 3rd round and was by far BPA no trade up needed. I could've also taken then punter with the last pick (4th round)
  2. Gotcha, I was finishing up at work. Seattle needs o line help badly, especially at both tackle spots. They can wait on a QB especially in this class, but why not build the lines for Russ’ eventual replacement? Cross is a blue chip LT prospect. Penning was in consideration here as well. True, I actually didn’t realize he was still available. But I would still take cross as safety is one of the few positions Seattle has covered. (Even though Hamilton could also probably play Will linebacker) I just think building a solid line before a young QB arrives is too important.
  3. Yes, apologies. The Jets @GunnerBill are on the clock
  4. With the 9th pick the Seattle Seahawks select Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State
  5. what is this I just heard about they can leave in 15 years if they pay for the demolition?
  6. I just remembered Olijah Griffin. I liked him last year before the draft and was surprised he went undrafted. Maybe they can develop him like they did Wallace? That being said, I still hope they draft at least one CB with speed.
  7. Seahawks, eagles, packers
  8. How Ralph knew OP would be the absolutely optimal place for a stadium back then AND 50 years from then, just uncanny. What are the odds?
  9. It’s fun if you’re a Bills fan and go back to a year before and see Josh, Oliver, and Rousseau we’re all mocked at #1 overall.
  10. I want speed that McDermott can coach up. Tariq Woolen or Kalon Barnes. I also like Taylor-Britt and Taylor-Stuart from USC.
  11. From Joe Marino: "A high school wide receiver and safety, Darrian Beavers started his college career at UConn before transferring to Cincinnati ahead of the 2019 season. In addition to football, Beavers lettered in basketball and track in high school while boasting a 4.0 GPA. Since transferring to the Bearcats program, Beavers has fully developed into an impact defensive playmaker on one of the best defenses in the nation. Beavers is a physical and aggressive defender that is interchangeable at linebacker on the second level and can serve as a 3-4 outside linebacker in odd fronts. Beavers is a smart processor that understands run fits, rush angles, and zone coverage drops. He has the mass, power, and length to stack and shed blocks against the run and power through rush angles as a pass rusher. When it comes to areas of concern, Beavers isn’t the type of linebacker that should be used frequently in man coverage or deeper zone drops. While he is fully capable of making plays to the sideline, he isn’t an overly explosive athlete when it comes to lateral mobility and change of direction skills. Beavers is highly regarded for his football character and how he’s taken ownership in his development as a player. His style of play translates well to hybrid-front defenses and surely the Bill Belichick disciples will gravitate toward his skill set. In year one, I can see Beavers claiming a role for his defense and making an impact on special teams, where he has considerable experience in four phases. By year two or three, Beavers has the makings of a core member of an NFL defense that brings a tone-setting presence, consistent instincts, a clear understanding of his role, and versatility to the table." He could probably be be had with our 2nd round pick, and IMO would be an immediate upgrade at much lower cost. Use the money saved on a veteran CB or WR. If you're concerned about his pass coverage: "Pass Coverage Ability: Beavers is sound in zone coverage. He does well to read the backfield, work into throwing lanes, and close. His background as a safety and wide receiver in high school shows up when he has a chance to break on the football. With that said, tasking him with defending large quantities and frequent reps in man coverage aren’t likely to yield favorable results. https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/darrian-beavers/Tc1KUfFhWl
  12. After seeing how much we will be paying Jones, I wish we could’ve just kept Phillips for less. How does everyone who balked at Phillips’ price tag feel now?
  13. Kyle Hamilton if he slides due to a disappointing combine. I just saw a mock where he was picked 24th so it’s not out of the question.
  14. And our 2nd round pick is after the Chargers’. So the premise is flawed since we would have to add to beat out their offer.
  15. True but one clarification. The bonus can only be spread over 5years max.
  16. I’m never sure about FA valuations but there are some good options in the draft. I like the guy from UT-SA. 6’3” and ran a 4.26 40. Let McD coach him up.
  17. We just restructured a bunch of contracts
  18. No, a rookie would be much less expensive, younger, and have a decent chance of being better
  19. Look up Steve taker highlights and let me know if matakevich or any of our special teams only players have even one similar highlight.
  20. Yep, I’m disappointed as usual by Buffalo. Have been my whole life.
  21. Offense: QB - I'm good RB - Try to trade for McCaffrey or Barkley. otherwise, if Walker Jr or Hall are available in rd 2 take them. if not, take Tyler Badie in 4th. WR - Diggs (New Deal will lower is 2022 cap hit), Trade #25 for DK Metcalf (I'd like to extend him too, but I'd give our 1st for even one year of him), Davis, Beasley traded or paycut, Tyler Badie is new McKenzie. TE - Sign Gronk if the price is right. Otherwise draft Charlie Kolar in rd6 to be TE#2 O-Line - Morse (Re-Work deal, 3 years), Re-structure Dawkins for 2022 cap savings. keep everyone else for now, only cut Williams/Feliciano if cap space as needed or we draft a guy who can play as a rookie. Dawkins - Bates - Morse - (Williams/Feliciano/Ford/Kinnard) - Brown D-Line - DT: Oliver, Draft 1tech mid/late rounds, Star Ankou). DE: Groot, Basham, AJ - just rotate these 3 for 67% of snaps each. draft a late round rookie if the board falls right. LB - Sign Bobby Wagner, if not draft Beavers in round 3. This will be the biggest upgrade. Milano, Dodson. Edmunds (explore trade options, for Mccafrey, Barkley, or a draft pick), i know it's not likely we trade edmunds, but doing so would save a lot of cap space, if there's a replacement in Wagner or Beavers. DB - re-structure White to save 2022 cap space. Let Wallace walk. sign Donte Jackson if not too expensive. Draft Alonte Taylor, and/or Isacc Taylor-Stuart in 3rd or 6th respectively. Jackson and Johnson. Added speed. Didn't spend a top pick on a position McDermott can coach up. S - Good. But maybe get a late round guy who can play nickel CB/OLB on running downs. K - Good P - FA Overall FA: cap space generated by restructure of Dawkins/White and Diggs/Morse extensions. Cut of Feliciano/Williams depending on if FAs willing to sign here. Beasley trade or paycut. Wagner Gronk Donte Jackson to add speed, a veteran presence, and another former Panther Draft: 1: traded for DK 2: RB Walker/Hall or G/T Darian Kinnard 3: CB Alonte Taylor or LB Darian Beavers 4: RB/WR Tyler Badie (unless RB was 2nd round pick) 5: DT OTITO OGBONNIA 6: CB Taylor-Stuart 6: TE Kolar 7: G Chris Paul 7: DT Noah Ellis
  22. Use your imagination
  23. Cody Ford for DK.
  24. He will sign with the Chiefs and guys like Thurman#1 will just keep defending every single move or non-move Beane makes while acting like we aren't allowed to have opinions because we aren't employed by an NFL team. Wrong. a trade clears all of his cap.
