That’s a tough one. I don’t want them to draft a running back or punter high because it will make them think they should run or punt more. Neither thing is a great idea. 😏
I wouldn’t trade Josh either, but your hypothetical is something I’ve thought about.
Mahomes would have either beaten out Tyrod in camp or took over mid season against the Chargers instead of….can’t remember who was that again…then probably scores more than 3 points against the Jags in the wild card who were damn close to making the SB themselves.
What I’m saying is it’s not a stretch to think he may have won the AFC as a rookie in Buffalo.
Wow. You say the o line is avoided in the draft then mention a 2nd and 3rd used. Mid round picks are perfectly fine to build an o line aside from LT usually. Not to mention the free agents they’ve added.
A 5th round guard this year could easily back up saffold then start next year for example
and just for the record I’m anti-rb in the second. I think we can get a fast back to compliment what we have with one of our day 3 picks. Too much potential at positions that actually matter in the 2-3 range this year.
Elam has a high ceiling. I believe McDermott is one of the best equipped to help him reach it.
Because of our CB coaching I believe he also has a high floor.
If another team had taken him he would be considered a bust risk, but I can’t see that happening here.
And as for who I don’t want to see in round 2-3; Any running back. I think we can get a fast back to compliment who we already have with one of our four day 3 picks.
Maybe if one of Hall, Walker falls to our 3rd Rd pick, but I don’t see that happening.
Why does everyone want to trade down and not mention who they want to pick or what compensation you'd expect?
Do you just not know the prospects so you think it's just more lottery tickets?
That's fine, but just know you sound uninformed.
Sorry to be a stickler but it's not an "extra" 2. That would be if we got 2 more 2nds. The price to trade up is low this year so we probably can't even get an extra 3rd for trading down to the 2nd.
It's almost as if teams are seeing the nearly 30mil/yr contracts for top WR and seeing the value in the rookie deal/5th yr option. And some of you want a RB lol
