  1. Brown is maybe a tick above avg and has world class speed. I don't even want Landry and he won't come here anyways. Green Bay might have to let one of their starters (Randal Cobb?) walk, but if we are going to be a run heavy offense, some WR's might not want to come here. Maybe we should upgrade the TE position first???
  2. Do we really want to trade Shady, even at 30, for a backup QB? Granted he'd be a solid backup, but no. That's poor value.
  3. Throw in Shaq and make it a package deal. I don't think they'll get any offers, but I hope they do.
  4. He struggles against the press and his route running is terrible. I can't blame Taylor for that.
  5. I suspect it will be Rudolph or Jackson. Jackson has accuracy issues related to impatience. He rely's on arm strength and doesn't always get set before throwing. If that can be corrected, look out because he has everything else and can always add a few pounds. Fixing accuracy/footwork can be a thorny problem, though. From what I've read, Rudolph will be a good but not great NFL QB. He is pro ready, though. At least that's what I've read. I don't want to see us squander a ton of picks for Rosen. Too many question marks. All I know about Allen is that he only hit 53% of his passes. That's a major red flag.
  6. Clearly it's time to move on from O'Leary. He's been a real disappointment and I don't expect him to be resigned. I think Ladareus Green would also be a good signing. He'd help our passing game.
  7. I could see us taking a big back like Ballage on day 3 to replace Tolbert, but no depth picks on days 1 or 2 are likely IMO. James Starks would be a solid depth guy too.
  8. He reminds me of EJ, but he's better all around. True he's a bit smaller, but I'm ok with that. He's 6'3" and he can gain weight. If a good QB coach could correct his footwork, his accuracy would improve, but that's what they said about EJ too. I'm all in for Rosen, though. I know he's a gamble, but the upside is tempting and we desperately need an elite QB. We have to gamble on Rosen if we get the chance and just try to patch up the holes on our roster as best we can until next year. We'll get a $9 million cap bonus from Marshmellow Dareus' departure in '19. Still, I'd be ok with Jackson. He has great poise and all the mental aspects you want in a QB. Get him to set before throwing more consistently and he could be great. He doesn't ever throw those wounded ducks like EJ and Fitz did, so it makes that 'fix the feet to fix the arm' proposition more credible.
  9. Davis would be a good signing and would upgrade the 3rd or 4th CB position. He's quicker than fast and could cover similar slot receivers. Even at age 31 or thereabouts he's better than Johnson and Wright. We need better depth at CB.
  10. He's overrated. The recent espn article calls him "top tier". He's nowhere near the level of Rogers, Brees, Ryan, Wilson or Brady. I'd be very disappointed if he was signed to $30 mill/yr contract by OBD.
  11. Oh my God NOOOO! Keenum is TT with a MUCH better roster. Even if he is able to continue at the same level, he'll limit our chances of winning a SB. I suspect he'd be overpaid and we'd have to eat a lot of dead money to unload him like when we gave Fitz a long term contract.
  12. Not unless he is BPA by a mile and definitely not early if we draft one in the 1st. We have too many needs elsewhere and a 2nd year QB whose ceiling has not likely been reached. I'd love to get a guy that would at least benefit from starting as a rookie, keep Peterman and let him compete for the backup job with a veteran who is cap friendly like Glennon if he'll take a paycut that is in line with his value.
  13. I'm glad Miami pays Tannehill nearly as much as Brady gets. That works to our advantage. He's no better than TT IMHO.
  14. I forgive a lot more than most when young people get into trouble with the law, but I draw the line at violence and not just against women and children. It's not ok to use violence against anyone for any reason other than self defense.
  15. I'm not well versed on NCAA football, but the more I hear about Mayfield, the more I like him. Still, these player rankings always jump around so much in the weeks before the draft. If he's still there, I could see us trading up to #3 or #4 to draft him. Buuuuuuut then again, we traded down last year and still got White so ya never know anything except that 99% of 1st round mocks will be nowhere near correct.
  16. The logic here escapes me. I can't imagine a coach or gm making a 1 sided deal that puts thei team at a disadvantage under ANY circumstances. Don't hold your breath.
  17. I can't see this. He is the dirtiest player in the NFL and McD values character. How will the locker room take to the guy that deliberately reinjured Aaron Williams' spine, ending his career? Who else is out there that you'd consider better? Are you expecting someone else to shake loose or do you think we should target a WR on day 1 of the draft? Just curious. I think this was painfully obvious. I'm not saying bring Sammy back, but someone like him with blazing speed that other teams have to account for on every play. We need that speed merchant that will make KB the new #2.
  18. I like him better than Rudolph. Rudolph may be ready sooner and should be pretty good, but I think Jackson has a higher ceiling. He needs to add weight to stand up to all the hits he'll take in the NFL.
  19. If the Bills draft a guy like Lamar Jackson, should they start him right away and does that mean we should focus more on offense in the draft? We need a lot of help on the OL and according to PFF, our WR corps, our WR's generated the least "separation" of any WR corps in the NFL in '17. Besides, I don't want to sign an avg starter to a big, long term contract only to eat a pile of dead money. I also don't subscribe to the theory that a good qb will never be any good if he has a bad rookie year because he'll be all butthurt and lose confidence. I know we need help all around, but I don't see how we can fill all the whale(y) sized holes on this roster in 1 offseason.
  20. Can we just be honest about this for once? Everyone hates Brady because he keeps beating their team. Remember how everyone hated the Bills in the early 90's and wanted any other team to win the AFC crown? He's one of the best ever to play at any position -- maybe THE best. Deal with it. I've been a Bills fan since the team first came into existance, but I'll give credit where credit is due and Brady has earned my respect. So what if he had to cover his face during an emotional moment? That's just one more reason why he has 5 SB rings and may yet win more before he retires.
  21. Frazier is the biggest reason that we made the playoffs. I hope he's here for many years to come. Also, play calling on O and D is not given the consideration it deserves. Frazier is very good at that. Kepping the other team guessing wrong is a huge advantage.
  22. I agree that our pass blocking needs to improve, but having a QB that is quick witted and gets rid of the ball on time would be a big help. We're actually worse at run blocking as a whole. Dawkins is the obviour exception there. Not sure about Ducasse or Miller, but neither of them is any good anyways.
  23. I'd rather play a raw rookie and let him learn than overpaying some avg qb like Cousins and locking him in long term then having to eat all that dead money when it doesn't work out.
