  1. Those overalls all look reasonable to me. Maybe MVS is too high. Interesting that Cole Bishop is the highest of the rookies. Shakir and Kincaid will have big jumps in their ratings this year, I bet. And I think Coleman is going to be very involved and turn heads as well, which should translate to rating jumps in Madden. I think Josh Allen is going to make him succeed. It was revealed that he was basically Allen's pick, so he is not going to let him fail.
  2. Madden isn't playable without adjusting the sliders a lot anyway. Pretty much all of the QBs fumble if the wind blows too hard.
  3. I'm pretty sure all the games they have played in December and January have been significant. What is significant about November?
  4. What source do you use for this? I looked around a bit and had trouble finding it. Granted, I didn't spend a lot of time on it. That's when you start getting into sample size issues since QB's only have 2 or 3 of these per game, generally.
  5. The topic is 10+ yard throws, not 20+.
  6. I think that is going to be almost none of his attempts. It's not like the Jets were getting blown out every week, and how often do you think teams play their backup defenses? At most, they take out one or two players unless it is an extreme blowout. Even then, it is only for a quarter, if that. And soft coverages will be preventing 10+ yard throws, not aiding them.
  7. I don't know how to look that up, but we aren't talking about deep balls which are 20+ air yards. A significant number of any QB's throws is going to be 10+ yards. I looked at a few of his games and he had 7 to 12 attempts each game of 10+ yards down the field. He started 11 games last year, so we are looking at probably 80 to over 100 attempts. A sample size of 30 or higher is sufficient to draw conclusions.
  8. Well, with Zach Wilson it isn't an arm talent issue. He has a great arm. He is also accurate. The issue is between his ears. They all had to meet the minimum of 200 attempts to be on that list, and that is a sufficient sample size for any metric, really.
  9. Just a malcontent. The book and the movie didn't change anything about the NFL. They simply highlighted the reality.
  10. A speculative article based on speculation from Tim Graham. Seems like a bunch of crap to me.
  11. LeSean McCoy would be interesting. He is quite the character and not afraid to share the dirt about other players and coaches. His ending in Philly was eventful. Plus, he saw the very beginning of Josh Allen and would have some cool insight seeing him enter the league.
  12. Being a 7 time AFL all star and 5 time first team all AFL shows that he was an elite QB among his peers. There's no comparing the game back then to today, or the players, even. But, he was elite for his time, at least in the AFL. He was 6'1" and 201 pounds, so he would be on the smaller side as a QB today. He had 40 career rushing TDs when he retired, though, which was 2nd among QB's back then and still 5th all time today. So, I imagine him as a Russel Wilson type QB. But, he is way before my time. I've only seen the odd highlight here or there.
  13. Despite all the hype, I think Claypool has almost no shot of making the team. He is certainly on the outside looking in. Anyone thinking that Hollins is not making the team just isn't paying attention. He is loved by everyone, a huge special teams contributor, and can actually produce in the offense as a receiver and a blocker. He is a lock.
  14. Only because he is in the NFC. That wouldn't fly in the AFC with all the elite QB's.
  15. That is all true. However, I feel like he is one of those QB's whose stats are a little better than he actually is. Or, maybe he was just a poor fit in Pittsburgh. His last two years were not good. But, he does have that past relative success in Chicago. He even made a pro bowl there.
  16. Mitch is fine. He's an average backup. He has plenty of starting experience, which a lot of backups don't, and he knows the organization, the players, and Josh us comfortable with him. He is also pretty mobile, which is good to have with a backup because they can at least move the chains with their legs if you need them to.
  17. He is not a franchise QB. If teams had to redraft from the current pool of QB's, how many would be taken before Tua? Allen, Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert, Stroud, Prescott, Jackson? Probably even Hurts, Love, Lawrence, and Purdy? Plus you have some old guys who are better than him like Rogers and Stafford. So, I don't belive he can be categorized as a franchise QB. He is a decent QB, but not a franchise QB. PFF ranked him 14th! https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-quarterback-rankings-all-32-starters-2024-nfl-season
  18. This was discussed a while ago. But, he sounds motivated. That's good. Anything we get out of him this year is a bonus. Expectations are pretty low for him.
  19. There's been an overhaul at receiver as well, though. They still went out there and performed well. I agree that the back 7 has a lot of work to do. They need to get up to speed.
  20. That doesn't look like Hyde to me.
  21. He's a weirdo, but he's a smart weirdo.
  22. Exception to what? The players just vote for whoever they want.
