    Youth!

There's not much difference between the youngest teams and the oldest teams. The youngest team is the packers with an average age of 25.0. The Bills are at 26.3.
  2. Well, he threw a back breaking turnover against the Bills, but Allen had 4.
  3. Sure, but every tackle in the league should. They had one weapon on defense, so even if you have an all pro at tackle, it's just smart to give them help.
  4. Ok. I communicate primarily in words, but pictures and videos can work too.
  5. Is it a thing, or is it just a few lame fans trying to make it a thing?
  6. Where does this "Cookie" nickname for Milano come from?
  7. Really good 1st half on both sides of the ball.
  8. Do we have videos of those plays? Just curious.
  9. Micah Hyde played well. Poyer did not play well.
  10. Winning cures everything. If Josh goes out and has a good game and brings home the win, the criticism will reduce. If he strings together a bunch of good games, like we know he can, the criticism will be a distant memory. It's up to him to do that.
  11. Joe Marino addressed this on his podcast and he brings up a good point. How do you really quantify that? How is it affecting his decision to throw the ball into double coverage or not? Is throwing into double coverage somehow caused by all those offseason things? I don't really see how there can be a connection. None of that stuff really matters when you are on the field trying to make plays. He isn't thinking about the Madden cover when the ball is snapped to him, or his new girlfriend, etc. Now, maybe it all adds up to something, but I don't see how we could measure that or definitively say it has some kind of effect. Allen appears to still be a good teammate, still practicing hard, etc.
  12. It needs to become habitual for Allen, because when he feels the pressure and isn't processing things, he does not see the short stuff. He needs to make it a habit so that if he feels that way, he automatically looks for the check down or short stuff. That is why you have check downs, so you can get the ball out quickly when you are in trouble or if everything is covered. He needs to not bail from the pocket so much, too. He did it on almost every pass play.
  13. I'm a firm supporter of Beane and McDermott. They've earned our trust, in my opinion, and I don't think they deserve even half the criticism they get. So, yes. I trust the process. I feel like perhaps a lot of fans don't watch other teams and don't see the blunders that happen by even the best the NFL has to offer, and they have this unrealistic expectation of perfection that just doesn't exist as a possibility in the NFL.
  14. Bills 28 Raiders 17 A bounce back game for Allen where he reminds us why we love him. But he still turns it over once...
  15. I don't think that is necessarily the case. I don't think he was thinking like that. I think Allen has a problem with compounding his mistakes in a game and not moving on from them. I don't think it is because he feels like he deserves or earns to take a deep shot, but more like he feels he needs to overcome and erase mistakes and he gets anxious when the offense is struggling to move the ball, and then compounds it with another mistake. I also think he stops reading the defense and goes on instinct when he is stressed. You have to be calm and calculated to read a defense. He is reacting, not reading or diagnosing. He isn’t looking for short passes because his instincts don't take him there. He gets blinders and doesn't see those anymore. The remedy is to calm down and use his head. He needs to find a way to take a deep breath and reset. It's especially hard when he is facing a really sound, aggressive defense that is trying to pummel him. But he makes the big bucks, so he needs to figure it out. And he has in the past, so there is no reason to think he won't in the future.
  16. He didn't look bored to me. A bored QB shouldn't be dancing around and bailing from the pocket. He wasn't bored at all. He was panicked, confused, amped up, and nervous. Anyone who says he was bored in that game simply didn't watch him. He was frenetic all game long. Even on his awesome TD throw he was like a fox being chased by a bunch of hound dogs. He wasn't comfortable all night.
  17. It's amazing that Bills fans are so nostalgic about Daboll when there were many here complaining about him continually and many even happy that he left as a HC. It never ends with the revisionist history around here.
  18. Yes, if there is a coaching blunder to point to, this was it. An absolutely horrible play call for the down and distance but also just the situation and importance of the moment. I'm not sure what Dorsey was thinking.
  19. This narrative is objectively incorrect and has been proven so over and over. McDermott is one of the more aggressive coaches and is aligned very closely with the analytics on when to go for it on 4th down. You look very ignorant when you keep spouting this nonsense.
  20. In a defensive struggle where your offense is scratching and clawing for every yard? You take the points there. It was the right call.
  21. I don't think it was hero ball. I think he was uncomfortable, confused, and wild. It was different than wanting to make a big play and putting the team on his back. He was just rattled for some reason. I don't think overconfidence had much to do with it.
